Visiting Ballarat was like stepping back in time. The charm of this historic city was palpable as I explored Sovereign Hill, an open-air museum that vividly recreates the Gold Rush era. Strolling along Lydiard Street, I admired beautifully preserved Victorian architecture. The Ballarat Botanical Gardens offered a peaceful retreat with stunning floral displays. Lake Wendouree was a picturesque spot for a leisurely walk, and the Art Gallery of Ballarat impressed with its rich collection of Australian art.

#australiatrip Gorgeously renovated art deco cinema that inspires romanticism for film goers. Cinema 1 is majestic but could benefit from a bigger screen, better sound and allocated seating that reclines for the ticket price.. The candy bar could also be improved with more modern food and drink offerings.. But still a fantastic cinema complex which leaves all modern cinemas for dead when it comes to drama, style and theatre..

Art Gallery of Ballarat

#australiatrip I went to the Art Gallery of Ballarat today on a Friday. It was not busy. Entry was free which is great. Only a few minutes walk from Ballarat railway station. The Gallery is very interesting with a lot of interesting arts. It's very clean and nice like a 5-star hotel. I loved and enjoyed all the arts that they displayed, really appreciate all the staff for taking care of the place so well and highly appreciate all the artists that provided their artwork there.

Explore the gold rush town

Ballarat is a famous gold rush town in history. Sovereign Hill in the town is a super large outdoor 'museum', which truly restores the historical appearance of the town during the gold rush period, as if traveling through time and space, and the photos are also very retro. 👍You can take a peek at the 'gold rush scene', encounter stylish carriages, and even experience panning for gold in the river yourself! 📷：Visit Victoria
