[Toyama Prefecture] The Tateyama mountain range and the seasonal sight of spring, "Asahi-Funa River Spring Quartet"
Asahi Funagawa Spring Quartet, a famous cherry blossom spot in Toyama Prefecture
A one-of-a-kind cherry blossom viewing spot in Japan, with colorful tulip fields, yellow rape blossoms, rows of cherry blossom trees beyond, and the silvery Tateyama mountain range towering in the background
This is an initiative that was started personally by a local tulip farmer with the desire to "make lots of people smile and enjoy themselves"
Every year, they carefully prepare the tulips by selecting the earliest blooming tulips to coincide with the cherry blossoms, and by alternating between the fields
In recent years, due to the effects of climate change, the quartet is not always perfectly aligned, and there are some missing parts, but it is still an impressive sight. This view of Maki
The best time to see the cherry blossoms is when the Asahi Town Agete Festival is held, but if you don't come early in the morning, the parking lot will fill up quickly. Also, it is recommended to come early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful reflections in the water-filled rice fields.
