I wish to be in Antibes for Oktoberfest 🍻
#oktoberfest
I’ve always dreamed of spending Oktoberfest in Antibes! 🍻 The idea of celebrating the famous beer festival with a Mediterranean twist sounds like the perfect getaway. Antibes, with its sunny coastlines, historic charm, and relaxed vibe, would be an incredible place to enjoy the Oktoberfest spirit. Imagine sipping on cold Bavarian beer right by the sea at one of the many outdoor cafés in Vieil Antibes. The picturesque old town would be buzzing with festive energy, and you’d get to enjoy a blend of French and German cultures all in one spot.
While there isn’t a massive Oktoberfest like in Germany, the local bars and restaurants always have their own way of joining the celebration. You can visit bars along the coast or in the heart of town, where you’ll find a mix of locals and tourists enjoying special beer menus and traditional Bavarian treats. Plus, you can still spend your afternoons wandering through the markets or taking a coastal bike ride—perfect balance, right? 🚴♂️
It would be a unique way to celebrate, surrounded by gorgeous sea views, beautiful sunsets, and the laid-back French Riviera lifestyle. Hopefully, one day I’ll make it happen!

Antibes tour on bike 🚲
#biketour
During my trip to Antibes, I decided to explore the town by bike, and it was the best way to soak in the beauty of the French Riviera! 🚴♀️ Renting a bike was easy, and I paid around €15 for the day, which was totally worth it. I started my tour from the old town (Vieil Antibes), where the cobbled streets are filled with history, and visited the charming Marché Provençal market. The Picasso Museum (€8 entrance fee) was a must-see, showcasing Picasso’s works in a stunning castle overlooking the sea 🎨.
Cycling along the coast was breathtaking, especially when I reached the Cap d’Antibes. The coastal paths offered beautiful views of the sparkling Mediterranean. I stopped at Plage de la Salis for a quick break and to enjoy the sun, before heading to Fort Carré, a fortress that stands guard over the harbor. Nearby, the luxurious Port Vauban is filled with impressive yachts, perfect for a quick stroll.
Antibes is a perfect mix of history, art, and the sea, and biking made it all the more fun! 🚴♂️ I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a laid-back way to explore.

BEACH CLUB IN ANTIBES 🇫🇷🫶😍⛱️👙
#timetotravel
We travelled to Antibes on a Sunday and every beach club was so crowded 😮!!! We made the mistake of not making any reservations at the beach clubs.
We were lucky that Yolo Plage has four exact sun beds that are free and is reasonably priced. And the staff are very nice and accommodating.
Everything at Yolo Plage is amazing, from the drinks (get the Hugo Spritz!!), ambience and vibes. Beach and water is clean. The water is slightly chilly which is perfect because we were walking and tanning under the sun ☀️ for too long.
While we were swimming, we saw two swans 🦢 which caught us all in a surprise haha!!
We spent half the day at Yolo Plage and managed to catch the sunset 🌅😍
L' Effet Mer Plage, a tiktok famous beach club was our first choice but they tried to overcharge us 😒 Would not recommend you to go, instead head to Yolo Plage!!

An awesome hotel in world 💜
#besthotels
There is a beautiful hotel hidden in the south of France that you must stay in. The moment you walk into the hotel, you will feel completely relaxed. The Dior Eden Roc perfume is named after this hotel, and the Dior Spa is also opened here
French writer Anatole France wrote the famous line “What will be, is what was” in the hotel garden; frequent guest Fitzgerald used the hotel as the opening of Tender Is the Night; painter Marc Chagall painted in the beach hut; the Duke of Windsor and the Duchess took refuge here when he abdicated; Picasso painted dishes for the hotel restaurant.
Niche, private, relaxing, healing...all experiences related to the best travel experience can be found here, and it is said that you can't book a room just because you want to.

Welcoming restaurant that is a hidden gem !
#traveldiaries At La Guinguette restaurant in Antibes, the atmosphere is truly enchanting. The moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the charming décor and warm, inviting ambiance. The walls are adorned with colorful art and rustic wooden accents, creating a cozy and lively feel. One of the highlights is the handwritten menu, which feels personal and authentic, showcasing seasonal dishes made with fresh, local ingredients. Each item is beautifully crafted, promising a delightful culinary experience. Dining here is more than just a meal; it’s an experience that transports you to a different time and place. I found a hidden downstairs Absinthe Bar with a mysterious vibe and intriguing menu.
#travellerswonderland While exploring Antibes, I stumbled upon a hidden gem: an Absinthe Bar tucked away beneath the bustling streets. Descending the narrow staircase felt like stepping into a secret world, with the dim lighting and rustic decor instantly setting a mysterious mood. The menu was a fascinating journey through the history of absinthe, featuring a variety of unique concoctions that piqued my curiosity. Each drink seemed to tell a story, and the knowledgeable staff added to the allure, sharing tales about the spirit’s notorious past. The intimate atmosphere, combined with the concealed nature of the bar, created an unforgettable experience. It was a delightful reminder of the hidden treasures waiting to be discovered in this enchanting city.
History meets the eyes of a tourist in Antibes 🇫🇷
#traveldiaries In the heart of Antibes, the city center boasts a vibrant array of restaurants, but what truly highlights the area is the striking statue of a mother and daughter, accompanied by a towering pillar. The statue captures a tender moment between the two figures, symbolizing love and family bonds. Nearby, the pillar stands tall, its impressive height drawing the eye. Adorned with intricate engravings, it tells stories of the city’s rich history and cultural heritage, showcasing detailed artwork and inscriptions that hint at the past. Both the statue and the pillar, over a century old, stand as resilient symbols of Antibes, reminding visitors of the enduring spirit and legacy of this charming city.
Found a little Italian wonder in the south of France!
#traveldiaries I recently discovered a hidden gem in Antibes that took my breath away—a place selling freshly made gnocchi, ravioli, and a variety of exquisite pastas. Walking in, I was instantly transported to Italy by the tantalizing aromas filling the air. Each dish looked like a work of art, with vibrant colors and textures that made my mouth water. I was particularly intrigued by the pickled octopus, an unexpected yet delightful find among the familiar pastas. The passion for authentic Italian cuisine was palpable, and I couldn't believe such incredible delicacies were right in my backyard. This charming spot has quickly become one of my favorite culinary discoveries in the area, and I can’t wait to go back!

Catching a sunset at Antibes beach!
#travellerswonderland Antibes beaches are a slice of paradise along the French Riviera, offering a stunning variety of shapes and sizes. From the wide sandy shores of Plage de la Gravette to the more secluded coves like Plage de la Garoupe, each beach has its own unique charm. The golden sands are beautifully contrasted by the sparkling, crystal-clear blue waters of the Mediterranean, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or simply taking in the view. The coastline’s gentle curves and rocky outcrops create picture-perfect scenery at every turn. Whether you prefer a quiet, intimate spot or a lively beach with cafés and activities, Antibes’ beaches cater to every mood, making it one of the most breathtaking coastal escapes in the south of France.
Stunning sculptures by the Antibes beach!
#travellerswonderland Antibes, known for its artistic charm, is home to captivating sculptures that each tell a unique story. Jaume Plensa’s Nomade, a towering figure made of white steel letters, stands at the Bastion Saint-Jaume, overlooking the sea. It symbolizes human curiosity and the search for meaning, inviting reflection as you peer through its intricate latticework toward the horizon.
Nearby, Nicolas Lavarenne’s Défi adds a sense of movement and challenge. This dynamic bronze figure, balancing on its toes, seems to embrace the wind and sea, representing human resilience and the delicate balance between strength and grace. Together, these sculptures infuse the landscape with creativity, merging art with the natural beauty of the Mediterranean coastline, each evoking thought and emotion in their own way.
Truffle pizza for €4.9 that will blow your mind!
#travellerswonderland I recently discovered an amazing pizza place in Antibes where the pizzas are incredibly affordable, ranging from just €4.5 to 4.9 only. Naturally, I couldn’t resist trying the truffle and mushroom pizza along with the pepperoni pizza—and both completely blew me away. The flavors were incredible, and for such a price, it felt like a hidden gem in this charming southern French city. I absolutely loved the experience, and I can't wait to go back. It’s definitely one of the best affordable spots you can find in Antibes!
Soak in the sea with stunning views from the grand ferris wheel in Antibes 🇫🇷
#traveldiaries The Ferris wheel in Antibes has charming, old-school carriages that give it a nostalgic feel. These vintage-style carriages add to the experience, with their open design allowing for uninterrupted views of the sparkling Mediterranean Sea below. At sunset, the whole scene looks absolutely breathtaking, with the sky turning shades of pink and orange, making the ride even more magical. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, taking a ride on the Grand Roue is a wonderful way to enjoy the beauty of Antibes from above, especially as the sun sets over the horizon.
Quaint station tucked in the south of France 🇫🇷
#traveldiaries At night, Antibes train station takes on a charming, almost magical atmosphere. The station is softly lit, highlighting its simple yet elegant design, with the warm glow of the lights reflecting off the nearby tracks. Regional trains frequently depart from here, connecting travelers to nearby coastal towns and cities. While the station is more functional than grand, there’s something special about how it feels in the evening. One interesting detail is the artistic photograph of the French flag displayed near the platform, giving a touch of local pride and culture. I’m not sure if it’s still there, but it certainly added a cool vibe when I last saw it. Overall, Antibes station feels welcoming, especially at night.

My Itinerary - 2 nights in Antibes
#myitinerary
Part of my 11 days trip to the French riviera, I made a memorable stop in the lovely seaside town of Antibes. If you have similar plans, here is broadly what you should be covering. I'm not the one for typical list of sightseeing. I like to take my time and soak in the vibe. So this plan will be a more relaxed one. While Antibes is not too big. I think it does deserve more than a day. This will allow for a more laid back way of exploring it.
Day 1 - As you try to orient yourself with a new place. The best way is to wander around the old town. In case of Antibes, there is a harbour too and both are near each other. The old citadel is simply gorgeous. Near the rampart, you can experience the market. It tends to be a lively affair and will give you several options in places for lunch. The later half ofnthe day should be about exploring the other side of the town. Fort Carre and several of the beaches will make for a fantastic stroll and sunset destination. This is a new place and a lovely one. You'll have many options in restaurants for dinner.
Day 2 - After a nice breakfast you want to do the cape tour, one of the highlights of antibes. It's a walking tour and will take you anywhere between 2-3 hours with plenty of views. Here's what I did, I carried a pack for picnic. The coast line is gorgeous with plenty of swimming spots. At the end of the tour and after that swim, I reached the chic district of Juan-les-pins where I visited the small hut satisfying Picasso museum. That evening was about cocktails and more lovely food.

Antibes - 1 day itinerary
Have you decided to visit Antibes in 1 day? Excellent idea, you won’t have time to get bored!
Ideally located between Cannes and Nice, Antibes is famous for its beaches and the seaside resort of Juan-les-Pins.
Visit Fort Carré in the morning. With its famous star-shaped architecture and 4-hectare park, we were impressed! Located next to Port Vauban, this is one of the first bastioned forts built during the Renaissance. It dates back to the 16th century, when Henry II, King of France, needed a sentry to watch over the border with the Duchy of Savoy, then occupying the County of Nice.
Lunch in one of Old Antibes restaurant
Then visit the museums of Antibes Juan-les-Pins, you can opt for the Pass’Musées. It’s a great way to discover the city’s 4 major cultural sites: the Musée Picasso, the Musée d’Archéologie, the Musée Peynet et du Dessin Humoristique, and the Fort Carré. At a cost of €10, it gives you free access to these museums for 7 days, starting from the first time you enter one of them. In addition, it can be stored for 1 year before first use.
Even if you’ve probably lost your appetite, stop by the Marché Provençal. In a charming covered market in the Cour Masséna, you’ll find 50 stalls selling souvenirs of your trip (wicker baskets, local jams…).

An Epitome of French Chic
#beachlife
Cot d'azure or French riviera is amongst the best regions of the holiday world. It's an iconic summer destination. While the south of France is mostly considered an upscale holiday venue. I managed to backpack through the whole country including the French Rivera.
Anyone who wants to treat themselves or say experience the French slow-living. That which includes fine wine, good food, crystal clear water and beautiful coastal towns. French riviera is the place for you. While the water is chilly in the Atlantic beaches near Bordeaux even in the middle of summer, the Mediterranean Sea is warm and perfect for swimming.
You can also visit larger coastal cities like Nice or Marseille, or head to the countryside and lavender fields of Aix-en-Provence. With some amount of planning. Cot d'azure can be done without going broke.
During the Olympics in France, celebrities from various countries choose the Detker Collection hotel group
Aman was once defeated by it. With only 9 locations worldwide, each one is a Masterpiece. This cliffside villa hotel, built in the 19th century, is located on the southeastern Mediterranean coast of France, atop the cliffs of Cap d'Antibes, overlooking the shimmering blue coastline. Since 1870, it has been renowned as an inspirational retreat for writers and artists.
The hotel is hidden within 22 acres of lush gardens and pine forests, featuring 118 rooms, suites, and two private villas. The rooms are decorated in classic French style, with abundant use of botanical patterns that complement the greenery outside the windows. Each room allows guests to enjoy the lush garden views and the sparkling Mediterranean without leaving their rooms.
The hotel's restaurants face the sea, with dishes exuding the fresh breath of nature. Combined with the chef's exquisite culinary skills, every bite is accompanied by a breath of oxygen-rich air.
With a history of over 130 years, the mast standing on the seaside rocks, paired with the world top ten ranked infinity pool beside it, becomes one of the hottest photo spots on Instagram during the height of summer.

The severely underrated small town of Antibes in the south of France should not be missed
After returning from the south of France, what I can't forget is not Nice, not Monaco, not Èze, but Antibes, where the winding coastline is too beautiful, where the orange old town in the sunset is intoxicating, where the simple yet tasteful lifestyle is enviable, where it is a small town that not many people in the country know the name of - Antibes.
From Nice Ville train station, you can buy a train ticket to Antibes. If you don't have an app, you can buy it directly on site, which is very convenient, and the ticket sellers all speak English. You can buy a round-trip train ticket from Nice to Antibes, which makes the return trip worry-free. The train journey is less than half an hour, and when you come out of Antibes train station, go up the overpass, and after crossing it, you will find the bus station. The bus costs 1.5 euros per person, just get on the bus and buy a ticket. Get off at FONTAINE station, cross the road and go through a small path in a residential area, at the end of the path there is an inconspicuous little door, which is the starting point of the Cap d'Antibes walking route.
From the starting point to the end, it takes about 3 hours to play and take pictures along the way. The walk is very beautiful and natural, and you can feel the blue and tranquility of the Mediterranean up close. There are no toilets or shops like cafes along the walking route, so it is recommended to prepare in advance. Only when you reach the end will you encounter a Cafe, where there is a small restroom that can be used.
You can take the same bus back from Cap d'Antibes, and after getting off at the train station, stroll along the port to reach the old town of Antibes.

Many international students, after returning to their home country, cannot forget their life abroad, and ordinary tourism cannot create such a deep attachment.
The biggest reason, in my opinion, is that studying abroad is ultimately about life - living day in and day out in that place, experiencing firsthand the way of life, cultural environment, and cultural differences abroad... Traveling is just a superficial way of seeing things.
So when many friends consult me on how to choose a travel destination, I always suggest choosing a place to live for at least half a month and experiencing it, which is definitely better than going to many cities.
Another reason I think is that it shows us a different way of life. Maybe you would say, isn't going to school in China the same? Ten classes and homework after class. Isn't going to work just going to work and then going home? What's different?
Here I have to say it's really different. In foreign classrooms, there are classmates from various countries, and group assignments are truly a cultural collision. You can sit wherever you want in class, and the professor doesn't care. There's a presentation every day... These are experiences that you can't have in China.
.
Not working overtime is one thing, and July and August are vacation months every year. You can take a vacation however you want for two months. You can fly to other cities every week to take a look. Secondly, there are countless art exhibitions, music concerts, or just take a bottle of wine and have a picnic under the Eiffel Tower, or have a picnic by the Seine River...
These are all things I have never seen in my home country. Here, we don't emphasize which way is good or bad, but we suggest that if you have the time and opportunity, you must go out and take a look. Really, not only will your mind and vision be broadened, but most importantly, you will learn what critical thinking is, which is really important for young people!
The small town in the picture is called #antibes, where I went to school. It's only 15 minutes away from #Nice train station, and it's a particularly peaceful place.
Small partners who travel to Nice can come here and take a look. Compared to Nice, it is more commercialized there, while here is closer to local life.
