Spanish Central Plateau Hike ~ Albacete (Region) This Gothic-Renaissance tower, built in 1555, features seven towers: the first has a Gothic spire, and the remaining six are Renaissance. Highlights include a relief of Saint Ignatius of Antioch, the city's patron saint, a bell from 1447, and a crest depicting a crowned warrior in a defensive position. Its interior features a perfectly maintained snail-shaped staircase where you can admire the tower's monumental beauty, especially its handrail, carved in incredible detail into the stone. This is not the original tower; the original was a smaller one belonging to the Monastery of Santo Domingo. Andrés de Vandelvira completed this tower after his wife's death. Alcalá del Júcar is listed as one of Spain's most beautiful towns. As you might guess, the town is located along the Júcar River, forming one of its meanders, formed over time. Located in the northwest of Albacete Province (Castilla-La Mancha), it forms a harmonious whole at the foot of the castle, from which it derives its name. (Alcalá means "little castle" in Arabic.) Spanish Central Plateau Walking Tour ~ Albacete (Region) Our guide, Belén, explained everything very well and was a pleasure to visit. We learned many details about the origins of the deposits and how they are treated in Albacete. The tour included a guided tour of the following areas, followed by an elevator ride to the first floor for an immersive tunnel tour, and finally to the top floor, where we had free time to enjoy the views of the city. Spain's Central Plateau Rampage ~ Alvaset (Greater Region) La Roda Alvaset Station is a must-see for photos! 🚉✨ Located in the city of La Roda, Castilla-La Mancha Autonomous Region, very convenient from Pejerol, both backpackers and railway fans must come and walk ~ This train station is operated by Renfe and is super convenient! An easy train ride takes you to Alvaset in 16 to 23 minutes, in addition to the city of Real in about 2 hours, Madrid in 2 hours and 30 minutes, and Valencia in about 2 hours! Perfectly connected to popular cities in the Central Plateau, perfect for friends who want to go wild ~👣 The train station has a long history, and the design is super distinctive! Similar to the Villarovledo station next to it, it has a two-story building, the exterior is a rectangular base design, the doors and windows are also small triangular gables for decoration - the style is nostalgic and European, taking pictures out of the video super Feel😍 Spain in September is really chill, the weather is comfortable, perfect for walking and taking pictures of new landmarks! Spanish Central Plateau Adventure ~ Albacete (Region) Albacete-Los Llanos Train Station is located northeast of the city center, less than a ten-minute walk away. This modern, flat-roofed complex of three buildings was completed in 2010 with the arrival of the AVE (high-speed train). It still retains the mosaics that decorated the old station in 1967, which were destroyed to build the current station. High-speed, long-distance, and medium-distance trains depart from its nine tracks and four platforms, connecting Albacete with major Spanish cities. High-speed trains take a surprisingly quick one and a half hours to reach Madrid. Alicante takes just 45 minutes, while medium-distance trains take two and a half hours to reach Ciudad Real. The Minateda paintings are located in five caves. Animal-based hunting themes predominate. They date back to between 6,000 and 1,000 BC.
