[Abu Dhabi] Gorgeous and magnificent! The most beautiful white mosque in the world
📍 Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, UAE
This beautiful mosque is the largest in the UAE, built between 1999 and 2007 at a cost of 600 billion yen. 🕌 Muslims and tourists alike can enter, making it a popular spot that cannot be missed when visiting Abu Dhabi, with around 1,500 to 2,000 visitors every day. ♡
It is rare to find a mosque in the UAE that is open to non-Muslims. 🕌 Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has seven chandeliers, and the design is said to reflect Islamic aesthetics and architectural styles.
The seven chandeliers are made with millions of Swarovski crystals and 24-karat gold. 💖
The largest chandelier in the mosque is in the main hall.
And in the prayer hall of the mosque is the world's largest hand-sewn Persian carpet! ! 🤍🤍
This carpet has also been certified by the Guinness World Records! The carpet, which covers an area of 5,627㎡, took 2 years to make by 1,200 to 1,300 Iranian craftsmen. (It's a little larger than a soccer field.)
It's amazing that such a huge carpet was made from just one piece of paper! ❣️❣️
In addition, all 1,096 hexagonal columns in this mosque are made of marble, and each one is intricately embedded with gemstones such as lapis lazuli, red agate, amethyst, and pearls. 💖✨
You'll be mesmerized by the marble, sculptures, and geometric patterns 🥰
No matter where you look, the beauty will take your breath away and you'll never be able to stop taking pictures. It was a sight to behold,,❤︎ You can't enter the square, so you can take photos as if you have it all to yourself📷
At night, it becomes a fantastic space, with a different atmosphere than during the day,,🤍🤍
I went sightseeing during the day to take a photo of the reflection in the pond in the first photo, and came back at night💎
I want to go again, and I highly recommend it, it's the most beautiful mosque in the world🕌
A sight you'll never forget💓 👗About clothing: In the mosque, women are required to wear an abaya to cover their skin.
Women are required to wear loose clothing that covers their arms up to their wrists and their legs up to their ankles, and to wear an abaya (scarf) to cover their hair!!
They are sold at nearby malls, so please prepare in advance before visiting.
It seems that they used to be available for rental, but it seems that they have stopped since COVID. We also bought cute abayas at the Dubai souk to wear here❤︎
Men are not allowed to wear shorts or sleeveless shirts such as tank tops in mosques⚠️
