Kimono is deeply rooted in Kumamoto's heritage: Kumamoto has a long history. Influenced by local culture and foreign exchanges, the kimono style is unique. The fabrics made with traditional Higo weaving techniques are crisp and textured. The patterns often incorporate regional symbols such as Kumamoto Castle and Aso Volcano, as well as elements of Kumamon, a bear that symbolizes bravery. When you wear them, you can feel the past of the ancient city and appreciate the tenacious and passionate cultural core of Kumamoto.

Clothing scenes outline colorful pictures: Walking in the spring Kumamoto Castle in light pink and white kimonos, showing the softness; the summer Amakusa Islands, the seaside scenery is charming, and the refreshing blue and white kimonos blend into the blue sea and sky. And at the lively Kumamoto Festival, the gorgeous kimonos are matched with celebration drums and gorgeous floats, full of vitality. Kumamoto's four seasons and special festivals all create an excellent atmosphere for kimonos.

Professional guarantee of high-quality service: Kumamoto's local makeup artists carefully design makeup and hairstyles according to different scenes and kimonos, paying attention to details; photographers are familiar with the beautiful scenery of Kumamoto, accurately capture elegant moments, patiently guide poses, and follow up to leave you with unforgettable memories.

When you step into the charming land of Kumamoto and embark on a kimono - wearing journey, it's like opening a vivid regional epic, leaving you with an endless aftertaste.

【Member's Day on the 27th】Free VIP Lounge Access! A Trip to Kumamoto Full of Surprises, Limited Time Offer!

Because I snagged a special fare ticket to Kumamoto with HK express, I arranged a trip to Southern Kyushu 😝 Before departure, all I knew about Kumamoto were Kumamoto Bear, Kumamoto Castle, and Mount Aso, having no idea what other attractions there were 🙈 In the city, the main mode of transportation is by tram, and then I got curious when I saw a station named 'Zoo', so I did some research online and discovered there were a lot of animals, and even a vast field of rapeseed flowers. The visit was indeed full of surprises 😍 There were so many types of animals, and most of them could be seen up close. In the end, I spent over 3 hours there before I was willing to leave 😝

Explore Kyushu!

My two-week self-drive trip through Kyushu was an unforgettable experience, showcasing a different side of Japan beyond the usual Tokyo and Osaka itineraries. Starting in Fukuoka, I indulged in the city’s famous Hakata ramen, with Hakata Issou serving up one of the best bowls I’ve ever had. From there, I drove to Nagasaki, a city rich in history and culture, before heading to Kumamoto, home to the impressive Kumamoto Castle. One of the highlights was visiting Mount Aso, where breathtaking volcanic landscapes stretched as far as the eye could see. The journey continued to the charming onsen towns of Kurokawa, Yufuin, and Beppu, each offering a unique hot spring experience that made for the perfect way to unwind. These towns had a distinct charm, with traditional ryokan stays, open-air baths, and serene nature all around. Along the way, I was constantly in awe of Kyushu’s stunning scenery, from rolling hills and lush forests to coastal views and steaming onsens. Unlike the bustling cities of Tokyo and Osaka, Kyushu offered a more relaxed and immersive travel experience, filled with natural beauty, rich history, and incredible food. Whether it was savoring fresh local cuisine, soaking in a secluded onsen, or taking in the picturesque landscapes, Kyushu proved to be a hidden gem with so much to offer. This trip was an eye-opening journey into a lesser-explored part of Japan, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable adventure. #travel #couplestrip #naturalwonders #thingstodo #myitinerary #localfood #kyushu #japan

Kumamon-Themed Railway

Don't miss the adorable Kumamon Railway when you visit Kumamoto City in Kyushu, Japan. While Kumamoto is famous for Kumamon, there's a lesser-known Kumamon Railway in a slightly off-the-beaten-path area! The Kumamoto Railway connects Kamikumamoto to Kita-Kumamoto, and it's serviced by Kumamon-themed trains. At the quaint Kita-Kumamoto station, you'll be delighted to see two Kumamon trains arriving simultaneously, making for a fun experience. Kids will be thrilled by the numerous Kumamon decorations on the train and will eagerly take photos with the train's exterior. Kamikumamoto Station is only about 10 train stops from the center of Kumamoto City, so it's definitely worth spending a little time to take a ride on this whimsical Kumamoto Railway with your children!
