"Stayed for a one-night layover - hotel is very close to the airport but unfortunately there aren't really any sidewalks on the way to it so it's not walkable. While we took a cheap taxi, if you contact them they will also send over a shuttle for free. As with everywhere in the area including the airport itself, English was not particularly fluent but some desk staff spoke enough that there wasn't any problem, and translation apps work well now otherwise. The room was huge and everything was clean and pleasant. Zhang was particularly helpful taking up our bags and shuttling us back and forth to the airport which is also the metro stop. Great experience."

"A truly five-star experience with five-star service. While some facilities are a bit dated, the room was spacious and the overall stay was very comfortable. We received complimentary welcome fruit upon check-in and a small farewell gift upon departure. The hot water for the shower wasn't quite hot enough, but when we reported it to the front desk, their response was incredibly quick. The engineering team immediately came up to adjust it – that level of responsiveness is truly commendable. The next day, we booked the hotel's car service to visit Shaolin Temple. The concierge team generously upgraded us to a Mercedes-Benz executive van free of charge. Our driver, Mr. Liu, was an excellent driver – both fast and steady. We wish the hotel continued success and a flourishing business."

Environment: The environment is very good, life is convenient, there are many places to eat and play downstairs. The shopping mall is right next to it, and the transportation is convenient. David City mall is conveniently located right downstairs, offering a diverse array of shops and restaurants to suit all budgets, making dining and entertainment incredibly accessible. There's also a small gate from the hotel that leads directly into People's Park, just a few steps away. While the park is quite large with rich vegetation, it offers limited recreational activities. * **Excellent Service:** Hotel service is outstanding. Dedicated staff provide comprehensive assistance from pre-check-in to post-check-out. When guests head out for sightseeing, staff at the entrance proactively offer bottled water. Areas for Improvement: * **Room Odor:** Upon entering the room, there was a noticeable lingering smell of wood paneling or new furniture."

"Let's just say, my first hotel stay in Zhengzhou was quite an unpleasant experience. Allow me to outline a few issues. Firstly, the most immediately noticeable thing upon entering the room was that the children's bed wasn't properly made. Then, in the bathroom, I found short hairs on the toilet when I wiped it myself. Secondly, the front desk informed us that food deliveries could either be brought up by the delivery person or via a robot. As we were with our child, we opted for robot delivery for safety reasons. However, the delivery driver left the food downstairs. I waited for over 15 minutes, but it never arrived. Assuming the robot was busy and my order was queued, I called the front desk to inquire about the wait time. To my surprise, they told me they were busy, the robot wasn't working, and they could only send it up once they were done with their tasks. This really highlights the poor service attitude of your front desk staff. We ended up going downstairs ourselves to collect the food, only to find that my order had no receipt. This certainly annoyed me. Leaving the delivery person aside, how can you permit unidentified items to be left in your lobby? Meals are simply placed there without receipts, and it seems no one in the lobby is responsible for overseeing this. What if a dangerous item were hidden inside an unreceipted order? Your hotel's safety awareness is severely lacking, and your management in this area is quite deficient. Thirdly, and quite unexpectedly, your restaurant was perfect. I was initially curious why breakfast was served on the 28th floor. Upon arriving, I discovered it offered fantastic views of the Erqi Tower, and the staff even activated the rotation feature, allowing us to enjoy a revolving rooftop restaurant experience during breakfast. This was an excellent experience. The restaurant staff also provided very good and enthusiastic service."

"The hotel's location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the East Station. However, walking there in summer can be uncomfortably hot. While the hotel is a bit dated for a Holiday Inn Express, the rooms are surprisingly spacious, though some of the fixtures and fittings are quite old. The breakfast, however, is a significant cut above other Holiday Inn Express locations, though it gets incredibly crowded during peak hours, making it difficult to find a seat. The hotel's immediate surroundings also present some significant drawbacks. South-facing rooms directly face a shopping mall under renovation, and the mall across the street seems to be constantly either receiving deliveries or disposing of trash. To top it off, the road right in front of the hotel is a one-way street. These external factors are indeed quite problematic. Fortunately, the hotel staff are all very attentive, and any issues or feedback are promptly addressed. The hotel is also reasonably priced, making it a worthwhile stay despite its drawbacks."

When night falls, stroll in the courtyard that has hosted historical celebrities such as Zhou Enlai and Puyi, touch the architectural texture engraved with the mark of the times, and the historical sense of weight and modern comfort experience are perfectly blended here. "The room was very nice but too cold. We asked the hotel to get a blanket and they gave us a mobile heater which worked fine. The breakfast buffet has a lot of variety only on Sunday when it was very full, the hotel didn't fill up the empty food even when it was still 45 minutes before the end. The service was very attentive with drinks and the dirty dishes. On the second morning, we left for breakfast with ”please don't disturb” on the room but the room service came in and cleaned the room. It's a good service but the staff should respect the guest's decision about entering the room."

"The service, especially from the ladies at the reception was excellent, the room large and nice. The location is very separated, it's far to go to find a food shop or a restaurant. The VIP-Club had excellent food and very friendly and helpful people. The restaurant downstairs confirmed my bad experiences with Sofitel restaurants."
