I went to watch a concert with my friends for a few days and booked this newly opened InterContinental. The experience was average. The hotel facilities are new, the receptionist is handsome and polite, and the cleaning lady will greet you proactively. Poor experience: When checking in, I asked for an upgraded room type or a room facing the People's Park, but I was told that this was not possible. They also said that the room currently arranged was on a higher floor and could see the Erqi Tower. As a result, when I entered the room, I saw nothing but rooftops and construction sites, and a building facing me. There was no coffee companion in the room. I called the service phone to ask for it and was told, ”We don't deserve it. If you need it, go to the restaurant and see for yourself.” When going to the swimming pool, except for the swimming pool, all other pools and saunas cannot be used, and the gym is still being renovated. The service staff at the breakfast counter were expressionless and did not greet anyone with a smile. It is conveniently located next to the City of David and the Pedestrian Street. The egg-filled pancakes downstairs are delicious and can be used for breakfast. The overall environment is very good.

The hotel is located right of the centre of city. The walking street have bundle of restaurant and street food, solely the foot step away from the hotel which is super convenient for the guest. The revolving restaurant at the roof top serve the guest breakfast is the plus point of this hotel. The breakfast food variety is good and they have provided 4 to 5 type of soup noodle immediately cook for you. Although hotel itself shown a certain of age, the maintenance and cleanliness still managed well. The only drawback of this hotel is the mattress and pillow is not really comfortable since you can feel the metal spring when you sleep.

The room is OK, no towels, there is a face towel. The cup is disposable and relatively hygienic. There are dirty things in some places, but it is acceptable. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, the TV remote control is not working well, the USB charging is not working well, and there are few charging places.

The next trip to Kaifeng was even more unsatisfactory. There were no taxis or online ride-hailing services after getting off the train, and the traffic jam near Qingming Shanghe Garden was even worse. Apart from the large number of people, the scenic spots have nothing attractive.

The hotel is relatively old, after all, four stars are not bad. The customer service was very warm and polite, and took the initiative to ask if the room was satisfactory. The bathroom facilities are not ideal, and the water in the shower and basin faucets is relatively small. It is more convenient to go out, and there are many choices for eating.
