The Hotel Fujiyama

The hotel is indeed aging but remains charming! It offers typical Japanese rooms and rooms with beds and all of them are tidy and well maintained! The manager of the establishment is adorable and very accommodating. Breakfast is ok! The soup is a treat! Be careful because the restaurant does not offer dinner (at least during our stay). The only negative point is the distance from the “center” but buses pass regularly (except in the evening!).
Fuji Marriott Hotel Lake Yamanaka

The hotel location is remote. Dinner had to be pre-booked which we were not aware of, and told was full when we checked in. Front desk staff was helpful and helped us find a local restaurant for specialty Unagi meal. We drove about an hour & half round trip for dinner. The onsen is clean, has outdoor and indoor. In my opinion, room is overpriced given its remote location.
Almeria Hotel

The location of the hotel is relatively remote, but it is no problem if you travel by car. The design and decoration of the hotel are very fashionable, clean and tidy, the surrounding environment is quiet, and you can see deer, kittens, etc. The hotel has two private hot springs for bathing. You can use it by making an appointment with the staff. The basic ladies' toiletries are all available, and the hair dryer is from Dyson✨ The hotel staff were very helpful and patient. I had a problem with my car when I was traveling by car. I needed to call the local police and get a report for insurance compensation. Thanks to the staff who always helped me communicate in Japanese, it made things a lot easier and saved me a lot of worry. 👍All the staff are very helpful. Although I only stayed for one night, I felt very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel. Although Lake Kawaguchi is more popular, Lake Yamanaka is also good. It is close to Shiratorihama and you can have close contact with many swans😆
Hotel Mt. Fuji

The hotel requires a drive all the way up the hill. Hence, it's not recommended if you are not driving. Onsen and private baths are the best highlights for this hotel, otherwise the food options were very pricey. Stayed in a premium twin room and they placed a lamp right next to the mirror door which we accidentally hit and broke it while using the mirror. The hotel wanted to charged 20,000 yen for the accidental damage but we negotiated for a lower fee. Thankfully they accepted in view that we were sincere about paying but not an exorbitant pricing. Cautious to anyone staying here to look out for breakable furnishing in the room.

The hotel is a not big with 13 rooms. But it's very nice and it's run by a couple. The boss is a very friendly person and he is a very good chef. The dishes prepared by him are very tasty and also looks very nice and attractive. The lady boss is very friendly and also very helpful. I stayed in this property for 2 days from 5th March 2024. In the morning of 5th March, the lady boss tried to contact me to offer me a free cancellation because it's snowing. The hotel provides 2 meals a day (half board) and the room is not big, but very clean. There is a free spa and library of comics. On the 2nd day, we want to go out to take photos because the whole area was very beautiful due to the snowing over night. The lady boss offered her water boots and trekking poles, we didn't see the need of water boots and trekking poles at first. But she insisted to lend us foc. It's proven without the water boots and trekking poles we could not go out. I would like to recommend the hotel and say a big THANK YOU to the couple.
