The hotel location is remote. Dinner had to be pre-booked which we were not aware of, and told was full when we checked in. Front desk staff was helpful and helped us find a local restaurant for specialty Unagi meal. We drove about an hour & half round trip for dinner. The onsen is clean, has outdoor and indoor. In my opinion, room is overpriced given its remote location.
The hotel requires a drive all the way up the hill. Hence, it's not recommended if you are not driving.
Onsen and private baths are the best highlights for this hotel, otherwise the food options were very pricey.
Stayed in a premium twin room and they placed a lamp right next to the mirror door which we accidentally hit and broke it while using the mirror. The hotel wanted to charged 20,000 yen for the accidental damage but we negotiated for a lower fee. Thankfully they accepted in view that we were sincere about paying but not an exorbitant pricing.
Cautious to anyone staying here to look out for breakable furnishing in the room.
The hotel is adjacent to Lake Yamanaka, and there are direct buses from Shinjuku and Gotemba. Each room is a trailer, and some rooms face Mount Fuji. Although it is partially blocked, the overall environment is very good, with a bathtub, a sauna, and firewood and charcoal for barbecue, which is a great experience.
This hotel is completely self-service, including check-in procedures. You check in at the machine by filling in the 6-digit number obtained by the reservation, and then the machine will tell you the designated room and door lock password. I booked it on Ctrip Business Travel, but the order did not give me this 6-digit number, so I couldn't check in on site. Later, I called the hotel and communicated for a long time. The hotel sent a guy to help me complete the check-in. It is recommended that Ctrip report this problem to the supplier and solve it.

I stayed in a room with a view of Mt. Fuji. Around 6am, I was able to see a beautiful view of Lake Yamanaka after walking for about 5 minutes from the pension. This pension is run by a husband and wife team and offers a relaxing atmosphere with a homely atmosphere.
The room itself is a sleeping environment with only minimal amenities. There are hand towels, but I didn't see any bath towels, so please bring your own if you need one.
If you want to eat a convenience store bento or other meal, you can rent a table in the dining room on the first floor, so you don't have to worry about it. Microwave, water, boiling water, refrigerator, toilet, and washroom are shared. You can take a bath until 11 o'clock.
It was cheap so the cost performance is good.
I would like to use it again if I have a chance to go nearby.
Good value for money, the room is simple, clean and tidy, the surrounding environment is very beautiful, the location is equivalent to a villa complex in the suburbs of China, there are few people and it is quiet, it is very suitable for people who like to travel on two legs and families who drive here. The hostess is great, she answered all my questions and taught me how to sort garbage. I stayed there for one night and then climbed Mount Fuji. I climbed to the top on my birthday and came back to stay. I came down the mountain to catch the bus very late and didn’t have time to eat. My feet couldn’t walk anymore. The hostess saw that I was alone and helped me cook a bowl of birthday longevity noodles in the middle of the night. It was so warm. By the way, I like the layout of the public area! Perfect
CCheryl YiEnvironment: It is very close to Shiratorihama Beach of Yamanakako, a 5-minute walk. There is also a FamilyMart at the intersection of the hotel, which is very convenient for eating.
Service: The boss is very nice, actively asks and provides help. The hotel can rent bicycles, both ordinary and electric, which is very convenient for playing in Yamanakako.
Facilities: The hotel facilities are relatively old, but very clean. The villa has only two floors, and the toilet is shared, but there were not many people on the day I stayed and I didn’t meet other people. There is a free hot spring on the first floor. After taking a bath, you can go upstairs to sleep.
If you come to Yamanakako to play, it is still recommended to choose this place for accommodation! It is a 10-minute walk from the bus stop, and the road is easy to walk. The boss is Chinese and communication is stress-free and enthusiastic, making guests feel at home. The bed is also comfortable to sleep.
SSMO32Booked last minute the night before. Great price and location. Low price was the main reason for booking. The shock and big surprise was the 11 out of 10 service and TLC I got from the owner Marie. I stayed in a room with its own bath shower toilet. Best customer careI have ever had even compared to a high end hotel for $200 a night. Yes you read that right. Something about these smaller hotels and the quality of service can't be matched. Very clean and very cute stay for exploring the Fuji mountain area. She speaks Chinese, Japanese and some English. And an amazing cook. Wow I was thankful I chose to eat at the hotel and not out somewhere else. My Bed was also very comfortable. Great sleep. It was More comfortable than the Disney Hilton Tokyo bay for $200 a night. Terrible beds.
YYaang LiuVery comfortable and spacious place. Recommend.
The landlord is friendly. He showed the flexibility and delivered my breakfast in advance in the night, which enabled me to depart to the Fuji mountain for a long distance and time consuming trail early in the next morning.
LLuvidGreat location for a Fuji view + nearby cafe The Park was a phenomenal experience. Definitely enjoyed the next door combini aswell. However do not like the group requirement to eat at the restaurant and lack of microwave in the rooms. Still highly recommend.
GGuest UserOverall very satisfied. The location is next to Lake Yamanaka, very quiet. There are Chinese staff in the hotel, communication is barrier-free. When I went there, I almost couldn't buy a ticket. The staff helped me to find tickets for nearby stations and arrived smoothly. They also provided pick-up and drop-off services, which is very important because it is not convenient to take a taxi here... The hotel has electric power-assisted bicycles, which are 1,000 yen cheaper than those on the street. This car helped a lot. You can see Mount Fuji a few steps from the hotel entrance, and you can see the red Fuji in the morning. The hotel is a bit old, but the facilities are clean and simple, and it is quite comfortable overall.
JJX SohLovely view of mount Fuji everyday. Room is huge with ample walking space. Bathroom and toilet is separated space
There is a large onsen that you can use everyday, with yukata provided.
Location is along a stretch of road, easily accessible by car. Do note that the car park can get filled up quickly.
UuuukaThe room is a five-minute walk from the Hirano Beach of Lake Yamanaka, facing Mount Fuji, which is great, but there are not many restaurants around, so it is suitable to drive there and buy food to cook in the B&B. By the way, choose 101 or 102 to have a direct view of Mount Fuji. Then you need to check in by yourself. If the mobile phone link cannot be done, there is a small house next to room 101 with an iPad to handle it.
MMarco29thvery nice hotel with Japanese style room and breakfast. we've got push bike rent for free and around 6pm they offer hot chocolate and marshmallow skewer to cook in the fire, in the gardenin front of the mt. Fuji. the onsen is pretty good too and rooms are big. I would book it again
AAnonymous UserI like this place very much. The service is good. It is a Japanese-style hotel. When we arrived on the first day, the grandfather at the front desk carefully used his own handwritten map to tell us how to get to Lake Yamanaka, the station, and nearby restaurants. The hotel also provides breakfast, which seems to be prepared by the grandfather and the workers. It tastes very good! Bathing is a Japanese bathhouse. When I went in, I was the only one using it. It was very comfortable.
It is very close to Lake Yamanaka and the bus station. It takes about 3 minutes to walk to the bus station and about 8 minutes to reach the lake. It is very convenient for tourists who come to the plains to chase the sunrise of Mount Fuji.
In short, it is highly recommended!
RrheazzzzI had low expectations for a hotel with public toilets and bathrooms, but the actual stay experience far exceeded my expectations. The facilities were very clean and there was no discomfort. The traditional Japanese room was large and the table and the kotatsu were very comfortable. Not to mention the excellent location, with Hirano Beach just outside the door.
