Travelodge Windsor Central
9.1 (79 reviews)

Travelodge Windsor Central ★★★

📍 34 King Edward Court, Windsor

"This hotel offered absolutely no air conditioning or refrigerator. Only heating. Luckily, we arrived at night, and sleeping with the window open and no mosquitoes made it barely acceptable. The location was excellent, right next to a subway station and with a view of Windsor Castle. Unfortunately, I took an Uber, and after 8 PM, there was no elevator directly to the hotel; carrying my luggage up two flights of stairs was a real ordeal. A pleasant surprise was meeting a hotel manager from Hong Kong who could speak Cantonese with us."

📍 Sir Christopher Wren Hotel, 52 Thames St, Windsor

"Unexpectedly close to the train station and the hotel is nice. Enjoy having breakfast facing the river. Already recommended to my friends."

De Vere Beaumont Estate

De Vere Beaumont Estate ★★★★

📍 Burfield Rd, Windsor, Old Windsor

"A beautiful estate and so much to explore nearby. It's quite close to Windsor center and only a few min drive away from Windsor Castle. The layout of the hotel was a bit confusing at first because the main hotel reception is a little hidden, but easy enough to find after one or two attempts! The room is reasonably spacious for two and fairly clean. I only wish there was a fridge! One of our curtains fell on the second day of our stay. We were out when it happened and found it fallen when we got back. We went to reception to let them know (this was around 1pm) and they said they'll send someone over to take a look. We waited in our room until 6pm, called reception again, and no one came. We went down to reception the next day to inquire again and were told that maintenance had left for the evening, but that they will be sent to our room straightaway the next morning. We went out the next morning, came back, and found the curtain completely removed!! No replacement. We asked reception if someone was going to come replace the curtain and they basically said they couldn't fix it at this point, and that they could change us to a twin bed room (we were originally in a double) that was much, much smaller. Not the kind of situation I would expect from a hotel that flaunts its customer service. We also asked for room service on all three nights and not once were our bedsheets/duvet changed (we had an orange juice stain in the middle of our bed that was still there every day). Overall the location is great and the hotel is super aesthetic, but we didn't like the fact we had to stay in a curtain-less room for 2 nights with no compensation or alternative (and had to chase them to even do something about the fallen curtain)."

"Second visit to this hotel. All the staff are friendly and want to help. We have been here two nights on this occasion."

Oakley Court

Oakley Court ★★★★

📍 Windsor Rd, Water Oakley, Windsor

"The hotel courtyard is exceptionally beautiful. Guests can relax in a rocking chair by the river or sit on a sofa on the lawn, basking in the soft sunlight in the morning or evening, admiring the canopy-like ancient trees and watching the boats gently gliding across the water – a truly poetic experience. The hotel also offers a variety of stylish public spaces for guests to read, enjoy tea, and dine – simply wonderful!"

The Royal Adelaide Hotel

📍 46 Kings Rd, Windsor

"A lovely stay in a well positioned hotel in Windsor! Very good breakfast with plenty of choice. Only downside was our room was not serviced on our 2nd day!"

The Crown and Cushion

The Crown and Cushion ★★★

📍 84 High St, Eton

"Accommodation in the local bar. The bar downstairs is in the direction of Eton in Windsor. It is very quiet. The bed is suitable for two people. There is no elevator. The wooden stairs are relatively narrow and retro. milk. A very quiet town and more comfortable than London ~ 10 minutes walk from the train station. Dinner in many bars is very good👍"

Travelodge Windsor Central ★★★
"Its right next to the Windsor Eton Central station, where plenty of restaurants and shops located, and a few minutes walk to Windsor Palace. There is only 30min free WiFi for the entire stay, need to pay extra for WiFi daily. Staff are very friendly. The building is showing wear and tear, our sink could not drain due to the stop was stuck and difficult to turn open. I had to go downstairs to ask for help since there is no hotel phone inside the room. The chain to the tub stop was broken and I could not unplug to drain the tub after use."

The Royal Adelaide Hotel ★★★★
"This was the worst hotel I stayed in during my ten-day trip to the UK, a stark contrast to the hotels I stayed in during the other nine days. The hotel photos were misleading, and the experience was extremely poor. If you're paying over 300 RMB for a room, I suggest you don't even consider it. First, there were very few room options. We had two rooms; one was a room that looked like a guardhouse near the garage, and the other shared a door with another room, with absolutely no soundproofing. Second, there was no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up the narrow stairs ourselves. Third, the hotel was tiny and right next to the road, making it very noisy. Fourth, the breakfast selection was limited, and you had to pay extra for anything extra. Fifth, the service was terrible. Our family of four went to eat in pairs, and when the two of us arrived after the first two had finished, the staff insisted on putting us in the same tiny seats the first two had been sitting in, without clearing the table. There were plenty of empty seats available, and when we asked them to clear the table or find us an empty seat, the staff were extremely reluctant. Sixth, and most importantly, the hygiene was appalling. It felt like the blankets and pillows hadn't been changed at all; they still had stains and an unpleasant smell from the previous visit. We didn't even dare to take off our clothes to sleep, let alone take a shower. Since I usually have comfortable accommodations and haven't left many reviews, I didn't take any photos or videos. However, after contacting Ctrip, they compensated me with 10,000 points. Overall, this was a very poor accommodation experience, and I hope others won't make the same mistake. If you encounter the same problem, I suggest not checking in immediately and calling Ctrip to change hotels."
