"I was so happy with my stay that I felt compelled to write another positive review, specifically to praise the hotel's public area maintenance and the breakfast restaurant. The cleaning staff here are incredibly dedicated 👍. Whether I was returning to my room after surfing or heading to the restaurant, I'd see them diligently maintaining the hotel's public spaces (watering the lawns, scooping debris from the pool). The staff who cleaned our room were also amazing – it was spotless! The mini-bar was restocked promptly on the second day, which really impressed me. A highlight of the breakfast restaurant is that it's open until 1:30 PM, which is incredibly convenient for surfers 🏄. You can sleep in, surf, and then leisurely enjoy brunch – it's so relaxing, and there are so many options. The wontons and noodles were both delicious, and the chef at that station was very friendly. When checking out, the lovely Miss Lucky was incredibly thoughtful. I wanted to keep a room card as a souvenir, and she patiently helped me pick out a good one for a long time (she really went out of her way to find a new one for me), which was very touching 🥹. The only minor flaw was that I couldn't use the complimentary ice cream and drinks that came with my stay (yesterday, after surfing, I wanted ice cream but there was no one at the shop; today, after surfing, I went to the drink shop and although it was open, they wouldn't start making drinks until 11:30 AM). So I didn't get to use any of these freebies hhhhhhhh. But that's a small detail that doesn't detract from the overall experience. The hotel itself is perfectly fine, and the staff are all very enthusiastic, so it still gets a full 💯 score! One small suggestion: it would be even better if there were more washing machines and dryers. Otherwise, I imagine during peak season, guests would have to wait a long time. It's fine now, but two washers and two dryers for so many guests really does need to be increased."

"This is the fourth hotel I've stayed at since leaving Haikou and traveling along the East Route. Over these four nights, I've experienced everything from guesthouses costing two to three hundred RMB a night to hotels over a thousand RMB. Each had its pros and cons: guesthouses offered great service, with attention to small, thoughtful details, while hotels boasted better facilities and amenities, and richer breakfasts. Overall, they were all pretty good. But today, I stepped into a real pitfall, a complete disaster, a total rip-off! The Sanson Seaview Surfing Apartment (Wanning Riyue Bay Store) I stayed at today was incredibly bad, not just a little bit. For over 900 RMB, I had to park in a public parking lot, then stand in the scorching sun waiting for a shuttle to take me to my room. After an afternoon rain, the parking lot was full of potholes and puddles, parking spots were hard to find, and they charged 20 RMB for parking. I paid 20 RMB to go out for dinner, and then another 20 RMB the next day just to leave. Then there's the hygiene issue: the room floor, bathroom, and laundry area were all disgustingly dirty. There was a shared pool next to the balcony, but no basic swimming gear like a swimming ring was provided. And what kind of toiletries were those? They were worse than what you'd find in a private guesthouse costing 200-300 RMB! The TV didn't even work. I honestly can't understand who gave them the audacity to charge over 900 RMB a night. You could find any random place in Riyue Bay that would be miles better than this Sanson Seaview Surfing Apartment (Wanning Riyue Bay Store). No service, no amenities, no decent facilities, not even basic cleanliness. One word: terrible. Two words: utterly rotten. Bad review, bad review, bad review – Sanson Seaview Surfing Apartment (Wanning Riyue Bay Store)!!! Also, I'd suggest that unless you're specifically here for surfing, you really shouldn't stay in Riyue Bay; it's extremely inconvenient."

"The service here is absolutely top-notch! We got lost, and the hotel arranged a shuttle to pick us up. When we left, the driver even dropped us off at the intersection and helped us load our luggage into the car! The environment is fantastic too! It's right next to the bar street, which gets incredibly lively at night! My friend and I went to three different bars! The atmosphere was amazing! Surfing is also super convenient from here! Seriously, if you're coming, you *have* to stay at this hotel! My friend and I both agree that this place beats 99.9% of the hotels in Riyue Bay! It's a shame our itinerary was already set, otherwise, we would have definitely stayed a few more days!"

"This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. From the moment I checked in, they refused every single request I made. The room had a terrible smell. They wouldn't even give me an extra duvet, and after a lot of pleading, they finally brought one that smelled absolutely awful. The hotel has no humanity whatsoever. The hot spring is just a pit in a field with tons of mosquitoes. My daughter tried to ask a question to the manager on duty in the lobby, but he was completely dismissive, acting like he had immense power. This hotel feels truly terrible!"

"I came to Shimei Bay a few times. I stayed at a homestay with an elevator for the first time. I didn’t need to climb the stairs. It was very convenient. It was really convenient to bring elderly and children. The twin room was very spacious. As soon as we arrived at the homestay, the housekeeper handed over the mineral water intimately. Then gave us 2 cups of iced coffee in the room, which was delicious. The rooms are equipped with projectors, the resolution is relatively high, the movie is very comfortable, it is quiet here, suitable for vacation, come next time"
