"We stayed as a family of 4 the rooms were emaculately clean, the beds were beautiful and very generous sizing, local milk in beauitful glass bottles connecting the local rural communiy was a great touch.All appliances were new and whisper quiet, which meant we all slept very well. Glenys gave us plenty of advice on where to take the children, local hot pools were a hit and the domain next door with playground gardens and basket ball courts for free family fun, the exploding geyser was great entertainment, very handy location to all the walking tracks up mt Te aroha, supermarket and shops easy walking distance from motel. The service was second to none. Rod and Glenys were amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we all had the best stay. We had car trouble, and they opened their garage and time to help us get back on the road forever grateful.Truely, beautiful caring people. We will be back again soon and have told all our friends and family of our new favorite motel"

Opal Hot Springs & Holiday Park ★★

"The cabin is basic but clean and reasonably comfortable, with essential kitchen items provided. However, some issues stood out, including a very dirty kettle and run-down facilities, especially the shower area, with only two showers for the campsite. Laundry is available. No blanket / duvet was provided. The hot springs pool is a nice feature but could be cleaner and tends to be crowded since it’s open to the public. On the plus side, the location is excellent—just a 20-minute drive from Hobbiton."

So much so that if there is no room available I change my plans. I get an amazing sleep in the beds there, the room are always spotless and the reception is informative and very helpful. Its everything you would want in a convenient, clean and great priced place to stay. Highly recommend!"
