"Check-in was efficient, but the staff's demeanor could be improved; they appeared unfriendly, possibly due to the large crowd. I was only provided with two bottles of water upon arrival for my 5-night stay. The buffet breakfast was good in terms of variety but became monotonous due to the lack of change in the dishes offered daily."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 5-8 minute walk from Banqiao MRT Station, Banqiao Station, and the Far Eastern Department Store. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. However, my only complaints were that in our twin room, the air conditioning vent blew directly onto the bed, and the shower head had very weak water pressure. What was truly unreasonable was our check-in experience. We arrived at the hotel around 12 PM. At that time, there were no other guests at the front desk. We asked if we could complete the check-in formalities early and then wait for our room to be ready. The front desk staff, however, rigidly stated that at 12 PM, they only processed check-outs, and check-ins could only be done strictly after 2:30 PM. This was despite there being no one else at the front desk, not even for check-out. It's beyond my comprehension why they insisted on being so inflexible. If there were no other guests, why couldn't they process check-ins for customers who arrived early, instead of making us wait until precisely 2:30 PM?? We had no choice but to wait at a nearby coffee shop until then. When we returned at 2:30 PM, we found 7-8 guests already queued up, all trying to check in, with only one staff member handling everyone. It was utterly ridiculous. 😓 I truly wonder what management was thinking; this process felt incredibly inefficient and showed a complete lack of customer consideration. From the very moment we attempted to check in, we formed a poor impression of the hotel. We will definitely not be staying here again in the future!"

"Our family of 3 stayed at the Caesar Metro for 6 nights in a Family Room with 2 single beds. The room was smaller than expected and it was just as well my wife and daughter are both of small stature otherwise it would have been a bit of a squeeze sleeping. The hotel is fine overall. We did not have breakfast included in our stay but there are plenty of local breakfast places nearby, including a very famous ********* breakfast place where there are always people queuing up for fried dough sticks, baked bread and soy milk. We did not get to use the gym as we were out a lot and we were slightly put off by the small swimming pool so we did not use that either. The children's tented playroom is a nice touch however. Room for improvement includes the glass swing doors to both the WC (it is separate) and the shower/bathroom both of which never seem to close properly and both leave a see-through half inch gap even when shut. This could have been quite embarrassing with a 7 year old daughter in the room. The hotel is conveniently located 5 minutes walk from Longshan Temple MRT station and close to the bustling Huaxi Street Night Market. I would stay here again next time I am in Taipei as it is a reasonably priced and convenient 5-star hotel."

"-Shower and toilet are separate, which is more convenient. -Breakfast is way too pricy so I did not buy. -Each floor is equipped with a water dispenser, a thoughtful and eco-friendly touch that ensures I never have to worry about staying hydrated. However, the complete absence of trash bins in the public areas can be rather inconvenient at times, making it challenging to dispose of waste promptly. -The view from the high-floor rooms is absolutely stunning!"

"The hotel generously upgraded our rooms from twin single beds to twin double bed. The location is absolutely fantastic and strategic as it is located just across major transportation nodes for HSR, Local Train and Metro. The rooms may look a bit dated but if aesthetic isnt a major concern, all else considered, it was a convenient and pleasant stay."

"We stayed at the Palais de Chine twice - one night before a 5 day tour and 3 nights after. We had a Superior King room on both occasions that was at a corner so we had windows on two sides. We could sit in the circular bath and look out over Taipei Main Station! We managed to leave a couple of items behind after out first stay but the hotel was able to return them to us when we stayed the second time. We found all staff members to be friendly and helpful. Note it takes a good 10 minutes to walk through the shopping centre maze to get to / from the MRT to the airport."

"Stayed here out of convenience because our event took place in one of their function rooms. The lobby is grand, the room is spacious and luxurious although the decor is a little dated. The fact that they still use physical keys says alot, which also means the lifts are not restricted to in-house guests only. Even the aircon in the room is still turn-type thermostat. The room is abit like a junior suite where there's an additional door separating the entrance and bathroom from the bedroom. I do wish the lights are brighter, too dim for my liking. The side table lamps and floor lamp are also manual control, so you have to turn them on/off one by one. The bed is firm but the pillows are too soft and sinks without support. Clean and spacious bathroom, do note however they don't provide single-use disposables so bring your own toothbrush. The water pressure in the standing shower is good, but the hot water for the bathtub is not hot enough. Location wise isn't too convenient. The MRT is about 7 mins walk away, considering you also have to go downslope from the hotel lobby which is situated above a park at the top of the slope. There also isn't much else around in terms of local food and stuff, except for 7-11. It's connected to Regent Galleria in the basement where there are more luxury boutiques from Sisley to Chanel, Hermes, Issey Miyake etc. 5* service, every staff I've met throughout my stay has been most friendly, helpful, attentive, polite and full of smiles."
