We had a fantastic stay. Right in Darling Harbour, we went to the maritime museum and aquarium and animal park and the imax cinema. We went to the little snail restaurant. Yes there is a construction site in front but from our room you could still see the water and buildings lit up at night and I didn’t mind watching the cranes at work. I have to compliment the hotel on the temperature of the room, it was perfect, we didn’t touch the aircon control at all.

The hotel is at a strategic location with easy access to all the tourist attractions. The rooms are clean and cozy too. Nothing to complain about.

I am staying for 5 nights here, the room is quite big, and has the separating door for bed, it has a pool and gym, breakfast cafe is next to the hotel What i considered this hotel is because their washing machine and dryer inside the bedroom. The minus are - this is old hotel, and for that price i guess i can get more facilities than here - the bed is very smallll ( smaller than queen size) - the lobby also very small ( but u can get free coffee in the lobby ) - smelly When u out from the lift, u can smell something that is like old and food idk whats that but it is so smelly. For Cleaning they always change the towel and helping us to throwing the trash.

We booked hotel for convenience for our wedding. Pros: The location is awesome, only 7min walk from Gadigal Metro Station and about 5mins from Townhall station. Check is smooth, we were quickly allocated a room. If you are a member with IHG they will allow you to have a later check out. The size of the room was very good. Cons: The cleanliness of the room was very sad, quite disappointing that a 4 star hotel doesn’t have late night housekeeping. There were grey stains on the pillows. Dirty bits in the shower. Housekeeping service was very bad. They somehow made the bed with our personal items wedged between the sheets which took up a really long time to find. They didn’t bother to replace towels and remove all the rubbish from our room. All in all, not the greatest experience. Would not recommend. Poor service, overpriced.

It was a pleasant experience here. The location is super accessible to tourist places in sydney. Fish market, opera house... Etc etc.... most of the places will all be walking distance. Location is tip top already to ferry ports as well. Hotel staff were really friendly and providing great care. Room wise it's tidy and clean. With rather good tech devices built in already. Breakfast was good amount of variety and enough seating. Will surely be coming back again for a visit!

The hotel is close to Darling Harbour, Queen Victoria Building, town hall and so on. It’s very convenient for traveller. The service provided by Parkroyal is excellent. Staffs are well-trained and willing to provide help. Nonetheless, looks like the building was built long time ago before becoming a Parkroyal hotel. There’s no hand-held shower in the bathroom. Worse, the bathroom accessories are old, and the water pipes in the wall are making loud noise when turning on the shower tap. Such a noise from either downstairs or upstairs woke me up in the early morning.

Great location and overall an amazing stay, but soundproofing could be much better. Take note that there are rooms without the balcony , which I should have asked prior checking in. The hotel is in a fantastic location — very convenient and accessible, which made exploring the area super easy. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. However the housekeeping service, the blanket’s sheets were removed by us but she just left on the floor instead of cleaning it up and the vanity kit was not restored. (I’m not entirely sure how is housekeeping like in AUS, but it’s not the best) That said, the walls are extremely thin, and noise was a consistent issue throughout. You can hear people talking and walking in the hallway, the housekeeping trolley rolling by, and even the closing of nearby doors, which is surprisingly loud and jarring. The other rooms are very close to each other, so you can even hear the other rooms alarm(which kept snoozing 3 times from 7am) the doors do not have a soft close to when it closes it keeps banging— it gets disruptive. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this might be something to keep in mind. But if you’re okay with a bit of background noise, the hotel still offers great value in a prime location. REMEMBER to ask if there’s any renovation works happening prior to booking (we had ours on the last day and the drilling was so loud)

Very good and centralised location- walking distance to Chinatown, Pitt St Mall, George Street for main shopping & dining areas, with easy access to light rail, metro and train stations. World Square shopping area is just downstairs with a Coles supermarket and many eateries/bakeries around. The bed was comfortable, but I find the amenities are very basic compared to hotels in Asia countries (for example they don’t provide cotton pads/buds). The hotel is showing signs of ageing esp the bathroom but the room is quite spacious for a central hotel (we had both shower box and bath tub). Concierge is very helpful and courteous, the hotel supplies umbrella for rainy days which is a very nice gesture. Overall it was a great stay, thank you Rydges World Square.

Room was right next to the elevator, so constant deep hum/roar from that keeping me awake. View was right into an office with workers 20 feet away, pretty great... Cockroach in the room. Led with the bad, here's the good: location. It's downtown, short walk from all that stuff. Overall, could be worse - perhaps not worth the price?

Very nice and helpful staff. Good bedding. Excellent location. Note there is a bar next to the hotel that can play music until around 11PM on Thursdays to Saturdays evening. So bring earplugs and/or ask for a quiet facing room (there are some looking towards the inner courtyard) An extremely good price for value
