Jollyboys Backpackers and Camp

Jollyboys Backpackers and Camp ★★★

📍 34 Kanyanta Road, Livingstone

"There were many Japanese people there, and there were places to chill, so it was comfortable, but there were a lot of mosquitoes, which was a problem in the evenings."

Elephant Hills Resort
8.6 (41 reviews)

Elephant Hills Resort ★★★★

📍 328 Park Way, Victoria Falls, Hwange

"wonderful place we enjoyed our short stay"

Protea Hotel Livingstone
8.6 (57 reviews)

Protea Hotel Livingstone ★★★

📍 Mosi-O-Tunya Road, Livingstone

"I had an OK stay here. Livingstone was lovely and relaxed. Hotel staff was kind and helpful. Only issue with the activity desk with their sort of aggressive payment requirements. Once I was late for the Botswana Chobe day tour (they had told me it started at 8, when it really started at 7) so I could not pay that morning and then they hounded me to pay in Botswana (at an inflated exchange rate) instead of waiting for my return to pay in USD which I had readily available in my room. That left quite a sour taste in my mouth."

Fawlty Towers Guest House
8.8 (61 reviews)

Fawlty Towers Guest House ★★★

📍 216 Mosi O Tunya Road, Livingstone

"A hotel with a high cost-effectiveness ratio! The location is great, opposite the supermarket 👍 There is a very large garden lawn! The disadvantage is that there are many mosquitoes and the kitchen facilities are a bit rudimentary 😄"

Azambezi River Lodge
8.6 (72 reviews)

Azambezi River Lodge ★★★★

📍 308 Parkway Drive, Victoria Falls, Hwange

"They have a nice restaurant and a good view of the river. Tour operators are onsite for help. Maintenance responds quickly to problems."

📍 68 Courtney Selous Crescent 1, Victoria Falls

"Friendly staff, clean and well serviced rooms each with open access to the pool. Serene and relaxing place to holiday pr work from. The food is exceptionally good - I loved the breakfast spread and dinner menu."

Kamunjila Lodge
8.9 (55 reviews)

Kamunjila Lodge ★★★

📍 55 Mwela St, Livingstone

"We just spent three days in Livingston, at Kamunjila Lodge. We had a very pleasant stay; the manager is French and the staff can organize a wide variety of activities in the surrounding area. They have a very good knowledge of the country and Southern Africa. They will always be there to advise you. The food is very good. We highly recommend this establishment during your stay."

"This is one of the better hostels in Livingstone. It's popular with European and American tourists, and it offers excellent value for money if you're planning to visit the falls. I've stayed here many times. The owner and reception staff are all quite nice, and the restaurant is also decent."

Protea Hotel Livingstone ★★★
"I have never seen a hotel with such amazing showers. Just by themselves, they make a huge difference in the stay. In terms of location, you have hotels that are right by the river and have an amazing view that this hotel does not have, but for business this hotel was perfect. Staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast buffet is plenty, and internet was working as expected."

"It was so much fun. It's in a very strange place, but when you enter, a different world unfolds. I think it was a peaceful place that suited Zambia very well."

Azambezi River Lodge ★★★★
"Overall, the lodge has a beautiful setting, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. However, the dinner buffet was disappointing because the food was not replenished, leaving guests with very limited options. With better buffet management, the experience would have been better."

"many things wrong with such a new hotel. The Staff was awesome and free breakfast buffet very nice. Basically the only time food is available. No real coffee just powdered coffee. No dinner available unless 5 or more guest come for dinner. No snack machines available. Front door room lock is hard to use. The bathroom needs more lighting to put on makeup. Steps from room to pool are too high and could be dangerous for some people to get to the pool from your room. There is a tiny bar in lobby but nothing you would want to sit at. I wanted to buy a bottle of red wine none available. I bought a white wine for 25.00 us. Make sure you have the right plug for this section of S.Africa I had one for east Africa that was not usable only plugs in the room no USB but front dest did lend me a plug. Front desk could not process either of 2 credit cars even though my friends cards were processed(as were mine every where I traveled) Otherwise large rooms big beds nice shower refrigerator in room good air-conditioning. Could not find driver from airport to hotel taxi was 30.00 but we did have a free shuttle back to airport. Call from airport to hotel to get your ride. Hotels are often more expensive than most other places in S.A. I would book as early as possible of date of travel there are hotels closer to the downtown area that has beautiful shops and restaurants. I felt this hotel was a little too expensive for having no real restaurant. I paid about 170.00 nt."

"The lodge was top notch at the end of our trip to Namibia. François did everything to please everyone, shaking up the schedule. Excellent welcome, good food, very popular garden and swimming pool, in short a welcoming place during these last 3 days."
