"We stayed just two nights at this wonderful hotel, and didn’t want to leave! Lapazul is a little slice of heaven on earth. When we arrived, following a warm welcome from Monica, as the only guests, we had the place to ourselves and were given the best room, with an outstanding view of the surrounding forest down to the coastline. We spied toucans, butterflies and parrots, which made our mornings. The rooms (and the entire hotel) is spotlessly clean and the much-needed AC works well. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and we were well looked after by George, who went above and beyond the call of duty, to help us. Definitely get a 4x4 to negotiate the short but steep road up to the hotel. We loved every second of our stay at Lapazul!"

"This B&B is gorgeous. Super clean and you are catered to and taken care of daily. The caretaker Dama always made beautiful figurines with towels daily and kept all very clean. Teddy is an amazing right hand who went above and beyond with us and was patient and kind. We learned so much about wild animals while there. He shared a video with us he took at night taken of a Kinkajou right at the property. There were monkeys all over the trees and they made a show that was so much fun. The sloths are so adorable and we saw a family of them sleeping. Their gardens are like paradise/jungle with abundant flowers and vegetation all very beautiful and organized. Such a pleasure to open our eyes in the morning to see this beauty all around us. The owners are very kind and welcoming. They thrive to make you happy and tended too. The breakfast a delight that has to be tried to describe. The homemade bread and homemade marmalade are delicious and exquisite. The Dutch pancakes as well. All natural and healthy. Smoothies were yummy too. I strongly recommend this B&B if you are in the area or even close by… The Matapalo Beach has that black volcanic and which make your feet feel like velvet. Beautiful breathtaking sunsets. Man we really want to come back to Costa Rica and stay at Jardin De Los Monos. You should too."
