"I booked a room with a cot but the room was not big enough for a cot so could not move around room and cot squashed next to bed. Cot was not ready on arrival despite phoning ahead to book cot. Carpet was dirty. Ceiling had cobwebs. Baby blanket dirty. Sheet on travel cot not safe as a double sheet folded around the travel cot mattress making it easy for baby to pull up. "

Lakeside Park Hotel & Spa

"We stayed here overnight after attending a family wedding yesterday, and it was the perfect venue for such a special occasion. From start to finish, the service was exceptional and every member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The food was absolutely 5-star, beautifully presented and every one of the three courses was delicious. Our room, The Mallards, was bright, airy, and overlooked the lake. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was excellent too. A huge thank you to all the staff for their professionalism, attention to detail, and seamless service throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this hotel for weddings, events, or a relaxing getaway!"

Park Lodge B&B ★★★
"The owner of the B&B is very polite, hospitable and kind. The room and bathroom are generally very clean. The dining room is also very clean. The food is quite delicious and there are different menu options. Only the heater will automatically turn off at night, and improvements will be made after feedback. There are not many parking spaces, so those who drive should ask."

Travelodge Ryde Isle of Wight ★★★
"We chose the Travelodge as we had been invited to a wedding. It was first time visiting a Travelodge so we did not know what to expect. The staff where friendly and helpful. We order the breakfast to go we did not what this would be. Due to the weather being really hot as was on the bank holiday there was a fan in the room but could not open the window which did not do me no good as I suffer with asthma. My mum ate what was in the breakfast to go but what in the breakfast to go I did not eat the cereal, flapjack or the chocolate du pain as I did like any of this. I drank the milk and water from the breakfast to go. I will remember not order this next time. The room was clean and tidy."

Lakeside Park Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"Overall the hotel is okay. We had a great time and the staff were helpful and friendly, but generally the hotel felt a little tired and that expense was being spared. Rooms were clean and tidy. Spa and pool nice, but quite busy, especially during times open to children. Breakfasts not the greatest. Chose to eat and drink at nearby restaurants rather than the hotel. Grounds very nice, but the building would probably be better for a bit of a revamp."

The Fishbourne ★★★★
"I am writing this review publicly as I was unable to find a direct contact email for the venue, which would have been my preferred way to share these concerns. As a former hospitality professional myself, and someone who used to co-own a pub in Devon, I am offering this feedback as a matter of professional advice to management. We visited The Fishbourne Inn just after Easter following a lovely early evening walk with our dog. To start with the positives: the food and drinks were very good, and the majority of the staff we encountered were lovely and welcoming, the colors of the trees and the light in the area is amazing. However, there were two issues that significantly soured the experience. Firstly, arriving to find staff members vaping right by the entrance provides a very poor first impression. It lacks the professional standard that the rest of the venue and the kitchen seem to strive for. Secondly, and most importantly, was the conduct of a lady working behind the bar (short blonde hair, glasses). Her behavior was incredibly nasty to observe; she used condescending, "classroom-style" childish tactics when presenting beers, specifically doing so behind the back of a gentleman who was simply standing near the bar chatting with his friends. It was a masterclass in divisive behavior. If you work in hospitality, you must be hospitable and a "people person." We all have to deal with toxic people in our working lives, but a friendly pub is the last place you expect to find it—especially from the staff. This individual’s prejudiced and rude manners were a total disservice to the rest of your hardworking team. I hope management takes this seriously. Toxic front-of-house behavior like this can ruin the atmosphere for everyone and is a major liability to a pub's reputation. Manners and professional boundaries are essential, and they were sorely lacking here."

"Beautiful hotel with great accommodation and lovely staff. Would highly recommend, close to main bus and train station. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bar downstairs has a homely and warm feeling to it, as do the local punters. Overall a great stay. "

St Helens Coastal Resort ★★★★
"This is the second time my family and I have stayed on this site and on both occasions it has been excellent: well maintained; clean; quiet with a smart range of accommodation- which is well spaced out- and in a good location to explore the area. The staff are helpful, professional and friendly. On this trip, a particular mention goes to Barnard and Pete. When we raised a small issue regarding our caravan,it was met with understanding and dealt with quickly, efficiently and with a smile- all much appreciated. The booking process was smooth and efficient and the pricing is competitive. There was even a welcome pack for the dog! St Helens itself is pretty with a lovely local pub and convenient corner store and nearby walks. We have been coming to the Isle of Wight at Easter for over twenty years and stayed in a range of places- this will be my first choice every time."
