On arrival we were allocated our room and we asked about where we could go for lunch, we were told that everything in the area was shut and the only option was the pool bar, this was actually not true. We then went to our room we were really disappointed, the room was very dated and we had a view of scaffolding outside, our balcony was also over looked by at least 6 others. I had asked for a view of the lake but when we got to the hotel we quickly realised that there isn't a view of the lake. We asked to change rooms and to be fair we were offered another room to look at. This room was marginally better so we took it. Some of the staff were really friendly and helpful but most were not very helpful at all and most of the time there was no one sat on reception because they were outside having a cigarette. It didn't help that there wasn't a TUI rep at out hotel (not the hotels fault I know). We had to find everything out about the area ourselves, there is nothing in your room giving you any information about the hotel or the area. There is a shuttle bus that takes you down to the main village of Torbole at 9am and 10am and picks you up again at 4pm (we only found this out when we asked). You can walk but its is incredibly steep and feels like more than 2km. Again I had to ask about this, but reception can give you a bus pass which means you can travel free on the bus in the local area, the buses run much more frequently, reception have a copy of the timetable and on request also let us have a copy of the ferry timetable. We wanted to hire a car but that was near on impossible and as for taxis, they are very few and far between. This hotel is very remote and due to the transport issues/buses only run until a certain time, you couldn't go out at night which was really disappointing. Drinks were very reasonably priced and the main bar man was very happy and friendly. We actually didn't rate the food very much. Breakfast is probably one of the worst we have ever had, felt very much aimed at the German guests. There was never any scrambled or fried eggs ready when we went up and I could never find the lady who was cooking them. Most of the breakfast didn't get replenished when it ran out. Dinner is chosen at breakfast time from a menu offering 4 different options, some of the food was good, some of it was rubbish and not really what i would expect from Italy, most of the time we would eat out at lunch time and just have the buffet salad for dinner. The hotel shut off the aircon halfway through are stay it was still quite warm at night and the rooms are quite stuffy, we asked if they had any fans and were told no, we slept with the patio door open but there was noise from the road. This is a moan about TUI now, if you do go to this hotel book with Jet2 and not TUI, Jet2 were at the hotel 3 times a week and did a welcome meeting for their guests. Wonderful clean hotel with friendly staff. Close to Riva exhibition centre and easy walk into Arco for restaurants. Breakfast selection is good and well stocked bar. Only minor thing was reception/bar closing at 9pm as it was off season. We were travelling for business and would have liked a drink at the hotel after the restaurant. We were back at the hotel by 10pm - 11pm.

The breakfast is very rich, better than many five-stars along the way. No one pulls luggage, you want to live by yourself, everything else is okay, the location is in the center of the Fassa Valley, it is convenient to eat and play around, and the cable car is very close to the hotel. The curtains are not good for shading and should be improved.

This hotel is nothing short of amazing. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The location has mountain views and is less than 5 mins walk to Orrido di Ponte Alto. Staff even told me to visit the Orrido di Ponte Alto and coffee on the house after I return from it and made good the offer. The room is huge and decadent with classy furniture and drapes. Did not expect this. Waiters are super attentive. If only all hotels are like this!

Holidays are expensive luxuries- especially nowadays, and decisions about where to go cannot be taken lightly. It speaks volumes therefore that, uniquely, immediately after returning from our stay at the Villa Nicole this summer we set about booking to return to the same hotel next summer. It was that good. The hotel itself is tucked away off a quiet avenue a short stroll from both the town and the lakeside-both easily walkable either along the road or using paths and cycle ways. From the moment you enter the lobby you are greeted by both the amazing staff and your wonderful surroundings- views across the very pleasant, relaxed bar area and out to the new pool and bathing facilities, with multiple comfortable loungers either by the pool itself or in a separate green and shaded area for when the heat gets too intense. The staff, without exception, were wonderful- remaining efficient and knowledgeable about what they were doing whilst at the same time sharing humour and jokes under the twinkling, watchful eye of Maitre d' Ignatio, who's dry, deadpan humour set the tone for the entire team. They made the whole stay a pleasure and are certainly one of the main reasons we will be returning. The rooms were well appointed and clean and the food was amazing- a wide choice of both local and international dishes and no repeated offerings throughout our two weeks and so beautifully prepared and presented. Riva is lovely and interesting, the hotel and its facilities are great and the staff are the best!! Looking forward to next summer already so BEWARE IGNATIO- the peg man is coming back! Nice hotel , everything new and modern , super comfortable and large bed , very beautiful bathroom , abundant and excellent breakfast , very close to the museum that I suggest to visit , and at less than 1 km walk you reach the center , I advise you this beautiful hotel for who wants to stay in Trento
