Atlantica Aqua Blue

Firstly the hotel is nice and the staff are all friendly. Rooms were clean, restaurant was clean and the pool area etc. Food was fine although a bit repetitive. No made to order omelettes in the morning which we have had everywhere else we have gone. The location is good, we had a beach 5 mins walk away to go snorkelling if you like that. We actually saw a sea turtle swim by us which was amazing. Waters are so clear. Aiya Napa was short distance away which we visiting in the day to a nice lively beach, very busy. Cons- The biggest for me was the room temperature. I can't stand sleeping in warm rooms so I struggled to sleep. The hotel policy is 23°- obviously to save money- and I heard more than one other person complaining about it to reception. We don't have our heating that high in winter let alone sleeping in it when it's 40° outside all day! It's the same in the lounge area (only place to sit in evening) so you can't even get a nice cool feeling anywhere which I found quite claustrophobic. Pool area- I can't stand having to fight for sunbeds, getting up at the crack of dawn to beat all the towel layers. So by the time we came down and had breakfast (9am) all beds were already long gone. Most if which stayed empty with towels on which is such a waste for other guests and extremely selfish. We always try to find hotels which are not like this so if this helps you, great. The hotel won't care as most guest only visit once so it won't change. The first 4 days the pool was also baltic cold, it literally made you not want to go in. It did seem to warm up by our 5th/6th day. Evenings- As other reviews mentioned it was very boring in the evening. There are a handful of seating areas outside by the ”entertainment” around 12, all of these like the sunbeds were gone by 6pm. dinner didn't even open until 7! So you ended up stuck inside in the warm with nothing to do but play Uno every night. The entertainment was poor at best and nothing at all for kids who would be very bored. Any entertainment that was on you had to then watch through the glass while the ”regulars” had the only outside seats by the entertainment. The hotel is probably 70/80% Polish people so maybe they're not fussed on entertainment. Overall it's a nice hotel and location, but may want to consider room only and go out in the evenings to the local town which was thriving. If you don't mind sleeping in warm rooms.
The Blue Ivy Hotel & Suites
4.8/559 Reviews
We have been coming to this hotel since the year it opened sometimes twice a year and the quality is still as excellent as the day it opened . The staff and I mean all the staff are just wonderful always smiling and so friendly and professional just wanting to make sure everyone is having their best holiday . The quality of the food and drinks is what you would get in a top class restaurant but you feel so comfortable as there is never a scramble or a rush for a table. The cleanliness of the hotel bedrooms reception bar outside seating area swimming pool all of these areas are spotless . Each year it seems as though once someone has stayed here they become regulars and friends . A big thank you to Nikos Tryfonas and every member of staff for making our holiday so special again. See you next year to make some more special memories . Best wishes to you all Col & Sue .
Constantinos the Great Beach Hotel
3.9/545 Reviews
As a family we have been going to protaras for about 20 years . We arrived on the 4th May and this was our 2nd time staying at The Constantine Great Beach Hotel and the standard of the housekeeping has declined dramatically compared to our 1st stay. This hotel states that it is a 5* hotel but unfortunately if they allow the maid service to continue as it is then they will lose there rating. On several occasions we were having to ask for towels, toilet rolls, tea and coffee and to have the milk replaced in our room. The maids were saying that they had done it but when checking again they hadn’t so having to chase the maids to get them to do there jobs and then being tutted at for asking for the things that they should be doing. We stayed for a week and in that week we didn’t get clean sheets, but they did make the beds. There was a clump of hair on our balcony which stayed there all week so it proved that the maids didn’t sweep or mop the balcony, dirty glasses were left for about 3 days until they removed them, rubbish was left on the balcony nearly all week . The final straw was when I went to use the UHT milk that they leave in your room for a cup of coffee . When I opened the milk it had gone hard and mouldy so I went to the reception to complain and make them aware of this. I had also filled out one of there questionnaire which I had pointed a few things out to them. The final straw came when I asked if I could have my money back for the late check out fee which was 30 euros because of the things that I had complained about. The front of house manger Maria said that she would ask the hotel manger. After leaving it for about an hour or so I went back to the reception to find out what the manger had said ,Maria said that he had said no which I replied was not good enough because of all the things that I had complained about, the next thing that Maria said to me was uncalled for and very very rude she told me that the next time I visited cyprus was to go and stay at the illiada hotel as though I wouldn’t be welcomed at the Constantinos , I replied to her by saying how rude she was and how dare she talk to me like that as I was a paying guest. I found the hotel manger and explained what had happened and he said he was going to sort it. If you are thinking of staying there and are expecting a 5* hotel expect to be disappointed as in my experience it is bearly reaching a 3* hotel and will continue to decline if they don’t sort out there housekeeping staff.
King Jason Protaras - Designed for Adults
4.7/560 Reviews
My wife and I stayed for 14 nights and had a fantastic holiday. From the moment we walked through the door the friendliness and service was exceptional. This Hotel has the ability to make you relax really quickly. Most of the team we recognised from last year which is always a good sign and I can honestly say the level of service was as good as it gets. A very loud large group did arrive while we were there and at times some of their language was a little choice but we soon found a quiet area away from them. I am celiac so gluten is a definite no for me but this wasn’t a problem with the Chefs as they would prepare the same dish without gluten. Thank you. The room was excellent with a lovely sea view. Too many of the team to single out, you are all a real credit to the King Jason Hotel. Thank you and see you next Year.
Leonardo Crystal Cove Hotel & Spa – Adults Only
4.5/561 Reviews
I have been living in Cyprus for 2 years, and Leonardo is my favorite hotel chain here. This one in Protaras is lovely. The service is immaculate: from the front desk (Yulia) and Aegeo SPA (Katerina), to barmen and cleaning ladies. You will fell valued and welcomed. I’d recommend you to pick the sea view, the Sea in Protatas cost is superb. Also, you might want to splurge on the room with jacuzzi. It’s absolutely fantastic. The guests are usually chill and friendly, you will not be disturb by loud noises. The spa is nice, I chose a massage and would recommend Gabriel as a masseur. The food and drinks are 4+/5, I’d recommend them to include more options and make lunch and dinner selections more different. Also, I’d love them to allow guest to fill their drinks by themselves instead of ordering. For swim you can walk to Konnos beach (take a snorkel equipment to have a chance to see turtles), or take a ride (provided by the hotel) to the Fig Tree Bay.
