"If I come to Pécs again defenately book at the Sopianae hotel! The location is excellent, very close to the Árkád Shoping center, and the city center. Parking within the hotel is safe and comfortable. The receptionist is very pleasant and ready to help with any questions, also very good breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable."

"I recently stayed here for one night and this was an ok experience. Check-in was smooth but lacked a bit of friendliness; no smiles, no 'welcome to our hotel', The room was big and clean as was the bathroom, but in comparison with the room size, this was a small area. The shower door didn't close properly but on the other hand the shower was excellent. Bed's were ok. Soundproofing is not the strongest point here. Breakfast in the morning exceeded my expectations and was really good with plenty of choice. Add to this ample and free parking space and you end up with a solid passing score."

"Great hotel just a few minutes walk from the center of Pecs. The staff is very friendly and spoke English very well. Breakfast is well done and was a very welcome way to start our days in Pecs. There is limited parking on the street, and if it is taken, there are spots available for use for hotel guests but you will need to pay a small fee for it. Be advised, the entrance to the hotel parking is narrow. We did not realize we could have stayed parked on the street for the weekend and parked our van in the hotel lot, receiving a couple scratches on the side in the process as it was night. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable. Even though it was February, the room did get warm one night (we like sleeping in a cool room) and so we opened the window and were pleasantly surprised to find how quiet the area was. We previously tried to turn on the air conditioner and although the unit would turn on, the blower did not. The room thermostat showed 23 degrees even though the thermostat was set to 20. We did not raise this with the staff as the open window served our purpose and the fresh air was welcome. Highly recommend this hotel and if we return to Pecs we would be glad to stay here again."

"This is an 800-year-old building with modern and practical interior decoration and spacious rooms. It is stress-free for a family of four to stay in. I just don't know why when booking the hotel it showed that it could only accommodate two adults and one child. It takes a long time for the bath water to get hot water. In addition, there is a chair where the kettle is placed. When standing up from that chair, you have to be careful not to hit your head on the corner of the cabinet. The entrance to the hotel parking lot is relatively small, and it is difficult for a large SUV to drive in. You can park on the street for 10 euros per day. Breakfast is 10 Euros per person. Children 5 Euros. Attached are photos of the surrounding area of ​​the hotel"

"There are good and bad things, the bad part first: It's not worth getting full pension, as they serve the same food all week, with no variety but the taste is not bad. Plates, cutlery, glasses, and where the food is served are mostly dirty and poorly cleaned. Also when I took water from the machine for my daughter, it came out dirty, as the machine is not clean, so reccommend you to buy whater and soft drinks. There is no room cleaning, and the service is not good. The gym you need to pay. The good part is that the room is clean, no problems, and the wellness area is amazing and clean. In short, you get what you pay for in a 3-star hotel, but they could make an effort with the cleaning and service. I stayed for 5 days."

"The hotel is in a residential area (unusual for a hotel). It has a few parking spaces in front and a small parking lot in the inner courtyard. The rooms are large and spacious. The bathroom is okay and clean. The carpet in the room is quite worn. The rooms on the upper floor have a balcony, while the ground floor rooms have access to an inner courtyard (perfect for smokers). The pool is quite small, and the rubber lining was wrinkled. A few major downsides: it was very difficult to communicate in English at the reception! The second downside is breakfast: plenty of fruit, but the rest of the dishes were limited in variety: only omelette, sausages, and wieners, a few types of cheese, and yogurt. For a 4-star location, this is too little. We arrived for breakfast on the first day at 9:10, and the food was almost gone, with no replenishments despite breakfast being served until 10:30 on weekends. What bothered me the most was the attitude of the lady who seemed to be the manager; she refused to serve a couple who arrived for breakfast at 10:15. She closed the door and drew the curtain. For dinner, the menu options were limited and expensive. We ordered a dish, they came back and proposed something else, then returned and proposed yet another option. As a result, we ate in the city for the rest of our stay."
