"Booked this last minute in our way from the airport to Arthur’s Pass. The room was great with all we needed in the kitchen as well. There is a small gas station not far away where you can buy some food to cook. Other than that there really isn’t much at the town. But we loved it. Also the owner was super sweet and welcoming. Great to be able to park right in front of your own room."

"My husband and I booked the Verandah room in the lodge at Gunyah for 2 nights, earlier this month, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We were looking for a quit spot to relax for a few days and this is exactly what we got! The house is beautiful and Simonetta has furnished it beautifully. She and the rest of the team did a great job looking after us, checking in too see if we had everything we wanted. She is a fabulous cook and we had 2 wonderful dinners in that beautiful dining room! My husband and I both enjoyed the old world glamour an enjoyed walking around the garden. The house and the garden and Simonetta as custodian are all treasures and I wished we could stay longer! "Our last night in New Zealand could have been ordinary. Instead we thoroughly enjoyed our Farmstay, interacting with lovely and interesting people and feeding and holding adorable fluffy alpacas! The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The town has good restaurants and cafes. And it’s just 17 minutes from Christchurch airport, making it a super-convenient place to stay."

"We took the ferry from Wellington to Picton and drove to Rangiora. It was a comfortable stop on our way to the west coast of the South Island! Our hosts were so helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed! Thanks again for your hospitality"

"Location is good, 10-15 mins walk to the terminal.This is a hostel which we already knew when made the reservation, so no blame on the small room size,rare service, and uncomfortable mixed smell.However, the most terrible thing is the room we stayed is very noisy. The noise came from the neighbors having parties till 2:30am, what’s worse was that finally they finished the party and there was another source of noise caused by Woolworth moving in stock from 5am….. The window of the room cannot be closed tightly, so you can hear all sounds from outside. We rarely have any sleep all night. The TV is Samsung, without any other apps but YouTube. Besides, it can only do screen mirroring on”Android “ cellphones (what? R a kidding me?!) The bathroom: many little scratches on the wall, the most weird thing is the shower hub, the water can “fly” above out of the hub, so every time after a shower, you got a flood in the bathroom. I rarely give negative reviews, but this one deserves. Never come back."
