"The Deluxe Queen Kitchenette room we were allocated (#15) was in the back corner of the complex. The window looked into a brick wall at the entrance to Room #14, and a bright fluorescent light was on all night. We wouldn't rate it as 'deluxe' and, at best, three stars! One of the curtains was hooked onto the net curtain as it had broken off the track hooks. The sink looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. The kitchenette cabinets could do with an upgrade. All in all, we wouldn't stay there again."

"The was the fourth time we have stayed at this motel in Moree and have been really pleased with its standards and staff. However, whilst it is still clean, well equipped and comfortable with a great king bed and large TV, we found the maintenance standard had really slipped, at least in our room No 20. Shelving missing off the refrigerator door, a bathroom door that didn’t close properly and needed shaving and no plug for the basin. The bathroom door is a natural result of building movement. I understand that. However, when we mentioned these to the owner/manager he seemed totally unaware of these things or that our basin was an old fashioned one that still needed a separate plug. Unfortunately because we have stayed there so often and this one of the more expensive motels in Moree, we did not do our usual inspection before accepting the room. Lesson learned!! 
To top it off we hardly got any sleep because of a very noisy outside air conditioning unit on the neighbouring room and our own air conditioner inexplicably turning itself on automatically, again very noisily at 2.30 in the morning. When we asked to move rooms the unhelpful take-it o- leave-it attitude of the owner decided us to cut our financial losses and check out rather than face another night."

"This motel is run by a really great family - I think this motel is here or 'established' for a reason and I think staying a few days you'll see that there is a family of sweet and caring people running this motel and I can only really communicate not to get the wrong idea if on a one-night stay. Had I stayed only one night rather than the three I did stay for, I wouldn't have realised, but by the end of the second day it started to add up. On that note, by the second day of my stay I could start to catch up on much needed sleep, benefit from the mineral rich artesian tap water, try a soak in the aquatic centre's spa virtually opposite the property, enjoy a quiet, low on stress, calming spacious street. If it helps, it's just good to live in regional Australia around a nice family, it was just the environment and the decency of the hosts. The best way to view this motel is to give it some time and you'll see that they have it all right, and that is why they have been in business for a relatively long time. However, I realise some customers might not fit well with this business but it's my belief that it's purely a coincidence not to book a long enough stay to see how great this motel is. Yet there are others such as myself who unintentionally booked more than two days and started to realise that the property has got it for other reasons. To summarise - enjoyed the serenity, the uncluttered Warialda Street, the harmony of being in a caring environment without pretence, and overall if my review is worth anything is to communicate to prospective guests that the motel is the way it is for an overwhelmingly kind-hearted reason."
