"The room we booked was not marked as -1st floor. It was obviously a basement with a window. The front desk had a bad attitude and said there were no other rooms. We arrived in the middle of the night and almost early in the morning. We had no choice but to stay. The smell of sewerage was very strong. Seriously, how clean can a basement be? The external environment of the hotel is quite good"

"The location is excellent, the free breakfast is nutritious, and the host is courteous and welcoming. However, unfortunately, the housekeeping staff did not do a good job of cleaning this time. The sheets were not put on, so I had to do it myself. The bathroom was not cleaned properly, the shower head was saturated with detergent, and the kettle was not cleaned, leaving murky water from the previous guest. Other minor issues included a narrow elevator, unreliable Wi-Fi in the Africa room, and parking at a nearby public parking lot (about 6 euros per night), rather than free."

"Our third stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location in the village of Mijas, short walk to everything and right beside the bus stop. It is a traditional spanish hotel, very clean and the staff are extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. The pool area is very peaceful, plenty of sun loungers and choice to lay by the pool or on the large terrace where you can take in the beautiful views. The buffet breakfast was well organised and there was a good choice of hot and cold food and a manned station where fried eggs, bacon and omlettes were made to order while you waited. We had a basic room but it was more than adequate wirh comfortable beds, tv, air con, fridge, hairdryer etc and was cleaned every day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again."

"The hotel offers free activities daily; we experienced gin tasting and yoga at 9:00 AM. There weren't many Chinese tourists, mostly foreigners on vacation. The golf course area has beautiful scenery and a charming, light green estate style. If you stay in a suite, you can enjoy the spa's massage pool and sauna/steam room. I saw on the website that a standard room costs €30 per person. Parking is free; most European hotels charge extra for parking, but this one doesn't."

"This wasn’t the greatest experience ever. We went away towards the end of may, Me, my partner and my daughter. To find the main pool wasn’t even open until the final day of the holiday. The reception was extremely rude about it and lied to all visitors at the hotel about the pool situation. They told me that it wasn’t open since October. Which as you can imagine came a big shock to me, as the main reason of booking this place was because of the pool for the children. Unfortunately, we had to take other trips outside of the hotel, to visit other places with pools and activities. This then became expensive and unfortunately didn’t allow us to do what we wanted to actually do on the trip. I will be requesting a refund of some sorts from love holidays, who never advertised the pool being closed."
