"The place was quite pretty and the room was small and had very basic facilities ie a kettle and toaster and cup and plate. The rooms were not very sound proof. Hot water takes about 2 minutes to start warming up. Bed was hard. Not necessarily bad things depending on what you’re staying for and how long. I was only there for 2 nights while site seeing. Breakfast was silly at 8:30 to 9:30. If you’re working or site seeing you’re gone by then."

"Absolutely loved my stay at The Bower House! 🌿 Nestled right in the heart of the rainforest, this place is a nature lover's dream. I had close encounters with brush turkeys, parrots, possums, and even tree kangaroos! The staff here are fantastic – super friendly and always ready to help. The Bower House itself is amazing: large, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. The fireplace was a cozy touch, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The views are simply breathtaking, and waking up to the sounds of the rainforest was an unforgettable experience. Just a heads up, the trails can get a bit muddy after the rain, but it's all part of the adventure! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying top-notch comfort and hospitality."

"We had a wonderful stay here. The cabins are really well set up and private, well equipped, modern and comfortable. We were there to relax and watch birds and animals and that all worked out well for us. It is peaceful and quiet, very dark at night. The night viewing platform was terrific as we saw Gliders and Possums we would not otherwise have seen and the birdlife is terrific. We will be back for sure"

"Best air bnb type accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. It was absolutely immaculate. It was clean, extremely well appointed and had everything you could possibly need plus many little extras. Location is perfect to explore the Atherton Tablelands region. Hosts were so welcoming but while they lived in a seperate house on the same property, I never knew they were there, my privacy was completely respected."

"Wow 🤩 My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of our 10th wedding anniversary celebration. If you’re after a tranquil place to relax, unwind, reconnect with yourselves whilst being surrounded by nature and stunning views - look no further! The room itself was stunning, with all the creature comforts of robes, spa bath, extra towels, comfy pillows and warm blankets and it would be remiss of me not to mention the fireplace. Then it has the finishing touches to make it all complete…the decanter of port for the cool winter nights, the love heart chocolates, the full cooked breakfast ingredients in the fridge, tea coffee, fresh bread, scones with jam and cream. It had everything you need! I walked in and immediately felt relaxed. I left with my cup full and will absolutely be returning. 10/10 would recommend, especially for parents who are needing a romantic getaway! The closest thing I heard to Peppa Pig (parents will understand) was the cows mooing in the distance (LOL)."

"This is an amazing unspoiled area in beautiful surroundings . It is off the beaten track, it is about 3kms of gravel road before you see the Rosegums sign. I am so glad we arrived during daylight or i would definitely have thought we were lost. There is no phone reception or internet in the tree houses. To be honest it is just what we needed after over three weeks constantly travelling. We met Dave at the reception and he gave us our house key (no. 7) , he also gave us maps of the area and also some advice. He even helped me to see my first cassawary . The houses are well spaced and you may never see or hear your nearest neighbour. We were upgraded to a two bedroomed house. It was really well equipped full kitchen, Bathroom/ shower Jacuzzi bath plus toiletries. Laundry facilities even laundry powder. On arrival there is a breakfast pack in the fridge for the first morning 4xeggs, cereal, milk,bread spreads, butter, juice. There are no restaurants or shops nearby so i would advise doing a shop before arrival. I had picked up some steaks veg etc . There is also a BBQ if you want to cook outdoors. There is also a stove and timber for those visiting during colder months. There are a number of walks / hikes to do on the property or if you want there are a number of beautiful lakes nearby you can visit. Lake Echam is about 10 km from Rosegums and is a 3km walk around. This lake is very popular for swimming in and even has its own resident crocodile. There is seating for picnics here also toilets. Every morning around 8am Dave feeds the little Parrots and also the musky rats so you get to see these creatures up close in their natural surroundings. We had a great stay at Rosegums , Thank you Dave for everything. Marylin and David Barry. (Ireland)"
