"Huge hotel with great facilities, but gym, sauna, onsen and pool have to be paid extra and at high prices. That left a very bitter aftertaste. The room was large but a bit dated and could be cleaned better.
The service at the reception could be nicer and speak better English. However, the rest of the service staff were extremely nice and helpful. Early check-in was possible free of charge.
The hotel is very close to Kobe airport, but only offers a shuttle service for the train stations. Why not also for the airport is somewhat questionable."
"The hotel is ideally situated between Sannomiya and Motomachi Stations, making both easily accessible on foot. It's right on a shopping street and surrounded by many convenience stores, making the location superb. While the room was a bit small overall, the bathroom was quite spacious, and the wet/dry separation was a huge plus. The rooms are well-appointed and felt very clean. The lobby offers self-service amenities like skincare products and tea bags. There's also a self-service laundry room on the 10th floor where you can wash a good amount of clothes for just 600 JPY – perfect for families on vacation. The staff are fluent in English and highly professional. Both check-in and check-out are self-service, which is very convenient. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kobe."
"Just a few mins away from both Sannomiya station and Motomachi area. Equipped with a public bath facility and the coin laundry. (There was a queue after 9pm. Go for it earlier!) Staff were attentive and helpful. Only drawback- the view of my room was like completely blocked by other buildings, and we were not able to get enough natural lights. It was even darker than the average at night."
"Traveling with my family, we picked this hotel for its convenient location near the bus stop. It's also an easy 7-8 minute walk from the train station, so it was really simple to find. The surrounding area is packed with fantastic dining options, from yakitori to gyudon. Regarding the hotel itself, while the lobby isn't huge, they do provide toiletries. On the plus side, the room was quite spacious, and the cleanliness was excellent."
"Great that the hotel has shuttle bus service from Sannoymiya station, and the service is fantastic. It was hassle free and easy to get to the hotel. Other services were great as well, however, the laundry service was less than great. There are not enough washing machines for the size of the hotel, and many guests are always queuing for the washing machine. Also, the bell captain is inconsistent with the way of managing the laundry queue. Sometimes, there is a waiting list for guests to register on, while other times, there is a need to wait in person for the key to be available."
"The view outside the room is great as it is close to Kobe Harbour (not quite sure) but it is pity that the soundproofing not quite well as we can hear noise passed from another guest room. And I don’t recommend the dinner buffet here because the menu is limited
Overall it is good ,the surrounding of the hotel is very beautiful"
"The location of the hotel is great, surrounded by convenience stores (a 24hrs Donki is at the opposite of the hotel, with FamilyMart and 7-Eleven along the streets) & affordable restaurants. The train stations for four lines and also the transit bus to Kansai Airport is only an 8-10 mins walk away, granting easy access not only to varies tourist sites in Kobe, but also to Osaka and the airport. The room is not spacious but we have enough room to spread out 1-2 luggages (hotel rooms in Japan are typically very small), the double bed is comfy and big. The room is soundproofed, we knew there were children and families staying on our floor but we only heard them once from the hallway, the room enable us to get a good night's sleep in such a busy area. The public area and room are clean, staff clean the room every 3 days, but you can also request room cleaning service every day by telling the reception. I personally enjoy the shower very much, the water flow is strong, and the rainfall shower did an excellent job to wash our tiredness away. Shampoo, conditioner & shower gel is provided, other disposable toiletries are available on the lobby floor. There are 3 washing machines (wash & dry) for all guests on the 2/F?? which can be paid by coins, the laundry room is usually fully occupied and it is better to avoid after-dinner hours, it would be perfect if every room has its own washing machines like other hotels. During our stay (which is the hottest time in summer), the hotel thoughtfully provided ice-cream soda for guests at their cafe every night after 8PM, that is a suitable place where you can get refreshed and chit-chat after a long day. Overall, we appreciate the professional service of hotel staffs and enjoy our stay at the hotel, we would recommend The Royal Park Canvas to those are looking for an affordable, quality hotel with convenient location."
"I particularly enjoyed the outdoor onsen complex; it felt exceptionally clean, and I appreciated the wide selection of toiletries, opting for the POLA brand myself. The entire facility was spotless, and soaking in the baths was incredibly relaxing. They even provided complimentary cold drinks, massage chairs, and Yakult. This hotel attracts many Japanese guests, which speaks to its quality. The location is also excellent, not far from Motomachi Station and conveniently situated right by the Nankinmachi (Chinatown) entrance. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience. Oh, and a special mention for the late-night noodles – they were genuinely delicious! My son even managed to eat two bowls in one sitting, which is high praise indeed! 😂"
"Great location near Sanomiya train station with lots of food nearby. Also have a supermarket and daiso nearby. The place also provide happy hour wine and snacks like candy and pancake. Kids love it."
"Location is quiet and away from the buzzing night life of Kobe. There's a Family Mart across the street and a 7- eleven further down. It's about 15 to 20 minutes walk to the main shopping district.
Breakfast variety is more towards traditional Japanese style, with a mix of western such as omelette, sausages, bacons. Disappointed that they don't have cereals/ muselis though."

Amazing
LleslieshaoThis is a mid-sized hotel with relatively new rooms and facilities compared to traditional hotels. Check-in started at 3:00 AM, and all private baths, breakfast, and dinner were arranged in advance upon check-in. While the timing wasn't ideal, it was still more reasonable than wasting time and having other guests take up space. The airport pick-up agent was very welcoming, and the breakfast and dinner were pretty standard compared to other Japanese onsen hotels, with no major flaws. Arima, one of Japan's three most famous onsens, is certainly quite good, and being only 26 kilometers from Kobe, a single night's stay was sufficient.

Great
MMeowVanThe service was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and generally able to communicate in English. Their service is so good that they wipe down all your luggage upon arrival at the hotel, and my bags came out cleaner than when I came!
The food also left us speechless. I’ve never tasted such a delicious meal, and I consider myself a foodie. The dishes were prepared fresh right in front of us. Every detail was attended to, from presentation to taste. It deserves a 100% without a doubt. Since I had a food allergy, they were careful to leave out the allergen in all the foods. I was really thankful for that, because it’s not always a given at Asian restaurants.
The establishment itself is dated, but that’s why we chose it in the first place- to feel the aura of tradition. Having said that though, it was slightly inconvenient that there was no shower inside our room. However, it wasn’t too much of a problem because the shared shower/onsen room was just a short distance from our room, and it was generally not occupied. When we stayed there, there was a storm going on, so the the rain crashing on the window and the outside blinds gave off a spooky feeling, which added to the sense of adventure.

Great
독독락당The Unizo Inn was one of the best locations I have stayed at in Japan. The room, relative to Japanese standards, is quite spacious and their degree of cleanliness is enough for even me, someone seldom fickle about cleanliness, to perceive. In addition, they also have a water dispenser situated just outside the elavator in the hallway leading to the room for anyone who might need some hydration. On the other side of the water dispenser was a VOD ticket machine for any guests interested in viewing the hotel's selection of movies. While I did not make use of this service, I am certain there are some travellers who would be most pleased to have something to entertain them even in their room. While I did not decide to have breakfast included with my room for the duration of my stay, the area in which the hotel is located makes it a prime location to acquire breakfast, whether that be a Matsuya right below the hotel or, my preference, Yoshinoya a little ways away. On the note of location, though, the hotel is well situated near Sannomiya station, giving ease of access to other regions of Kobe. That said, the wealth of restaurants and stores near the station alone could probably keep one interested in food occupied for a while. The staff were overall very friendly and the experience as a whole was most enjoyable. One point to note, however, was that like every other hotel I have been to in Japan, there is a stark absence of three-holed outlets so North Americans with three-pronged plugs should be aware of this and come prepared with an adapter of some sort.
NNormanThe location is excellent for visiting nearby sightseeing spots. For example, Kitano Ijinkan and Herb Garden. The high speed railway is also right next to the hotel, which makes it very convenient. I have been to other hotels such as Hotel Okura and Meriken Oriental Hotel. After visiting all of them, I still think ANA Crowne Kobe is not only the cheapest but the best in terms of location, services, and amenities. For example, gym is Crowne is free compared to the other two. They also got adapters for foreigners unlike the other two. Furthermore, they got a lot of restaurants inside and nearby which makes it a very appealing place for a business trip.
++tengIt takes about 20 minutes to take the bus + walk from Shin-Kobe Station.
It is a 10-minute walk from Sannomiya Station.
The location is convenient and the environment is OK.
The restaurant is relatively small and it is a bit difficult to find a seat when there are many people in the morning.
GGuest UserGreat hotel.Great value for money when we stayed.Location excellen bring near the shops and food establishments.zKpbe is well worth a visit and in reality it's as good if not better than Osaka. Room sizes were good. Would definitely stay again here at this hotel.
GGuest UserAlthough there is only an indoor hot spring and no outdoor scenery, the facilities are quite complete. The hotel provides bathrobes and slippers for children, and there are small games for children to play on the 4th floor.
I didn't see any options for dinner when I booked via Ctrip, only the basic ones. The basic set meal only has 2 slices of teriyaki wagyu beef, which is not a big portion but just enough. Additional purchases on the spot are not allowed. But if you want to change to barbecue or increase the quantity, you can try to communicate with the hotel by email in advance. On the contrary, breakfast is in buffet style with many choices. The taste is not bad overall.

Very Good
LLucky101I recently stayed at the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel during my visit to the Kobe Exhibition, and I must say it was an excellent choice. The location is ideal, just a 15-minute subway ride to the exhibition center, with a direct line making the journey straightforward and hassle-free.
The hotel's proximity to the subway is a major plus, offering seamless travel around the city. Notably, there's only one line change required to get to Osaka, making it convenient for day trips or additional business meetings.
Surrounding the hotel, you'll find a plethora of restaurants catering to all tastes, ensuring you won't go hungry. Additionally, there's a massage center nearby, perfect for relaxing after a long day of activities. For those traveling by night buses, the station is conveniently close, making late-night travel plans easy to manage.
While the hotel amenities were generally good, I did miss the availability of free coffee, which would have been a nice touch. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay.
Overall, I highly recommend the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel for its prime location, convenience, and the abundance of nearby facilities. It’s an ideal choice for anyone visiting Kobe, whether for business or leisure.
KkarekarekareBook a female dorm room for 4 people, but I was alone so have the room for myself. The bed is futon style, a thin foam and then the futon mattress itself. We get a new white sheet upon check in. There's a thin full body mirror, small rack for suitcases and personal belongings, but if you need to, there's also safe box near staff room. The female dorm room is on the 2nd floor, next to the shared kitchen so you can kinda hear other guests cooking or working on their laptop with the wifi. You can have your coffe, tea, cup ramen and even light cooking is allowed as they provided the pans, and also some seasonings. The sink and the toilet is next to it, hairdryers are available and the toilet has bidet seat.
The shower room are on the b1f floor, which a little bit of hassle because you have to pass the staff room everytime. You can wash & dry you clothes too in the utility room next to it, but I dont know if they charge or not. Another kitchen and TV room is also here. Rental towels, bath robe, one time use shaver are also available.
Over all a pleasant place if you only looking to for a place to sleep, and wash your self. It's 5 minutes walk from Oishi station. There's a small river near too which also a nice place for a small walk.
CCamilla TamI booked this place at the last minute as we wanted to extend our stay in Arima Onsen by one night and most hotels were fully-booked. I searched on *********** but couldn't find any suitable accomodation so thought to try Trip.com. This hotel came up only on this site and I was delighted to find it. At first I was concerned by the lack of reviews, but all the reviews were good and the room looked ideal for a family of four; 2 western beds and 2 tatami beds, with spacious living area and separate bathroom and toilet. It was really great value for money. The size of the room was very generous, and the facilities were great. We made use of the Onsen baths and the table tennis room during our stay. None of the staff spoke english but this wasn't an issue as they were all adept at using google translate. The location is also fine - it is situated between the town and the ropeway, so it is easy walking distance to each, which was very useful since they dont offer any shuttle service. All in all I would reccomend it for a short stay in Arima onsen as it is really good value for money.
