"We chose this hotel as it was very near all the shopping streets. However, for the price we paid (about SG$120 per night), it is definitely not worth it. Before arriving at Kobe, was paying the same room price (and even less) at Osaka and Kyoto but these other hotels were way way better. Breakfast was very sad, can skip and go elsewhere to eat. Room was so so cramped. Overall it is no value for money."
"Staying at this hotel was an unforgettable experience! The onsen was of the highest quality, providing a serene and rejuvenating escape. The service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. My room was incredibly spacious, featuring luxurious amenities that added to the overall comfort. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, offering a perfect spot to unwind and take in the scenery. If you're looking to indulge in a high-end Japanese experience and have the budget for it, this hotel is an excellent choice"
"The hotel is worth the price and quality. The location is good, the service is good, the facilities are complete. It is a hotel that is guaranteed with awards and is well-known by people in the area, making it easy to call a car and travel very conveniently."

"The city view room has a view of the town. The interior is similar to other rooms. It is more convenient to take an outdoor hot spring on the same floor, but you need to go to the lobby on the first floor to get the key. The hotel facilities are user-friendly. The staff are very nice. It is worth coming to Arima. A wonderful memory"
"There was a small dry blood stain and a hair on the pillow when we first went into our room. The hotel is dated but the service was great. Breakfast was good also."
"The hotel look a bit old but everything were fine
Spacious room with sufficient facilities
The location of the hotel is convenient which you could reach out to Metro/ JR within 10mins walk
There are Donki, 7-11, Family Mart nearby and you can get all you need
One problem with the hotel is the slope before entering the hotel.
Will be tough if you are having heavy luggage with you"
"room is huge for Japan standards. we are a family of 4 and we had the 4 beds in 1 room. You can tell the hotel is dated with the old school kind of radio knobs and light knobs but we enjoyed the space. The lobby is large and spacious, very grand. The hotel shuttle bus also brings us to town everyday, its convenient. Very nice little family mart right downstairs is great !"
"A choice that completely exceeded my expectations!
I like the local culture more because I stayed in a hotel!
The service is perfect!
The details are really admirable.
Highly recommended!"

Excellent
朗朗影This hotel is very comfortable. I like the big bathtub in the room the most. After soaking in the hot spring outside at night, I can relax in the bathtub when I return to the room, and soak again the next morning. just! The driver was very good. When he realized he didn't pick us up, he apologized first. The dinner we had at Goodnight was exquisite, and it was so comfortable to sit and chat while eating!

TTan SH DennisDormy has been a fave of mine. The last time I patronise Dormy was 2023. I have since moved on to Nono. My recent visit to Dormy, Kobe was a by default due to the absence of Nono. Moreover, its Onsen is well designed and the better than most hotels in Kobe.
Areas Dormy should improve on:
1. Overcrowded breakfast experience. Some kind of timing or queue sequencing (like Nono) should be in place.
2. Food quality has dropped! Prawn tempura and katsu are with minimal meat and mostly flour! Fruits and salad are so low in selections and quality.
3. Seating management was overwhelmed by tour groups. This also made breakfast experience lousy!
Either specify timing for tour group breakfast or extend breakfast timing to ensure better spread of guests.
4. Low quality F&B: Rice was cooked in the most non-Japanese way! Staffs were unenthusiastic. Food decoration also sloppy! The 前菜 look unappertising!
5. Amenities area adjacent to the bath. Rethink how to ensure the cleanliness and safety. The place is very often overflowing with ice cubes and used paper cups ; and wet floor near the machines.
Trip.com provides good discount. It is time to segregate offerings based on level of privacy and comfort; and Hotels that take on tour-groups and non Tour-group. This will great help in hotel choice-making.
AAriel Kenneth AmpolThe basics done right. This is what Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sannomiya does well. It's a fantastic location less than 5 minutes away from Sannomiya Station, which is the heart of transportation in Kobe. The facilities are basic, but done really well. The beds are comfy and the water is indeed soft. I enjoyed my stay.
MMeowVanThe service was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and generally able to communicate in English. Their service is so good that they wipe down all your luggage upon arrival at the hotel, and my bags came out cleaner than when I came!
The food also left us speechless. I’ve never tasted such a delicious meal, and I consider myself a foodie. The dishes were prepared fresh right in front of us. Every detail was attended to, from presentation to taste. It deserves a 100% without a doubt. Since I had a food allergy, they were careful to leave out the allergen in all the foods. I was really thankful for that, because it’s not always a given at Asian restaurants.
The establishment itself is dated, but that’s why we chose it in the first place- to feel the aura of tradition. Having said that though, it was slightly inconvenient that there was no shower inside our room. However, it wasn’t too much of a problem because the shared shower/onsen room was just a short distance from our room, and it was generally not occupied. When we stayed there, there was a storm going on, so the the rain crashing on the window and the outside blinds gave off a spooky feeling, which added to the sense of adventure.

LLucky101I recently stayed at the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel during my visit to the Kobe Exhibition, and I must say it was an excellent choice. The location is ideal, just a 15-minute subway ride to the exhibition center, with a direct line making the journey straightforward and hassle-free.
The hotel's proximity to the subway is a major plus, offering seamless travel around the city. Notably, there's only one line change required to get to Osaka, making it convenient for day trips or additional business meetings.
Surrounding the hotel, you'll find a plethora of restaurants catering to all tastes, ensuring you won't go hungry. Additionally, there's a massage center nearby, perfect for relaxing after a long day of activities. For those traveling by night buses, the station is conveniently close, making late-night travel plans easy to manage.
While the hotel amenities were generally good, I did miss the availability of free coffee, which would have been a nice touch. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay.
Overall, I highly recommend the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel for its prime location, convenience, and the abundance of nearby facilities. It’s an ideal choice for anyone visiting Kobe, whether for business or leisure.
FfeeencielA traditional Japanese hot spring hotel with gold and silver baths.
I personally feel that the gold bath is really good for the skin.
The hotel has thoughtful service, you can have dinner in the room, and the hotel will confirm whether there are any dietary allergies in advance.
The location is also good, you can go around the hotel, the steamed buns and beef patties sold in the small street are delicious. The hotel has a special car to pick up, and I will come to the gold bath next time!

EEmily_journeyGreat location and worth for value, spacious room for a solo traveller
10 mins walking to Sannomiya center and metro station
Easy to connect anywhere in Kobe and to Osaka
Nice facilities and fully provided amenities & toiletary. Highly recommended.
GGuest UserThe hot spring is small, but there are few people, and there are both gold and silver hot springs.
Meals are between 350 and 600 per person, which is pretty good. Breakfast is more than 100 per person, which is quite cost-effective.
The front desk can communicate in English or a translator depending on the personnel situation, and the service attitude is very good.
There was a foreign waiter in the restaurant who said he was learning English, but his English was actually very good.
There were no reviews when booking, so it was a successful adventure.

++tengIt takes about 20 minutes to take the bus + walk from Shin-Kobe Station.
It is a 10-minute walk from Sannomiya Station.
The location is convenient and the environment is OK.
The restaurant is relatively small and it is a bit difficult to find a seat when there are many people in the morning.
KkarekarekareBook a female dorm room for 4 people, but I was alone so have the room for myself. The bed is futon style, a thin foam and then the futon mattress itself. We get a new white sheet upon check in. There's a thin full body mirror, small rack for suitcases and personal belongings, but if you need to, there's also safe box near staff room. The female dorm room is on the 2nd floor, next to the shared kitchen so you can kinda hear other guests cooking or working on their laptop with the wifi. You can have your coffe, tea, cup ramen and even light cooking is allowed as they provided the pans, and also some seasonings. The sink and the toilet is next to it, hairdryers are available and the toilet has bidet seat.
The shower room are on the b1f floor, which a little bit of hassle because you have to pass the staff room everytime. You can wash & dry you clothes too in the utility room next to it, but I dont know if they charge or not. Another kitchen and TV room is also here. Rental towels, bath robe, one time use shaver are also available.
Over all a pleasant place if you only looking to for a place to sleep, and wash your self. It's 5 minutes walk from Oishi station. There's a small river near too which also a nice place for a small walk.
