Amazing
LleslieshaoThis is a mid-sized hotel with relatively new rooms and facilities compared to traditional hotels. Check-in started at 3:00 AM, and all private baths, breakfast, and dinner were arranged in advance upon check-in. While the timing wasn't ideal, it was still more reasonable than wasting time and having other guests take up space. The airport pick-up agent was very welcoming, and the breakfast and dinner were pretty standard compared to other Japanese onsen hotels, with no major flaws. Arima, one of Japan's three most famous onsens, is certainly quite good, and being only 26 kilometers from Kobe, a single night's stay was sufficient.

Great
MMeowVanThe service was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and generally able to communicate in English. Their service is so good that they wipe down all your luggage upon arrival at the hotel, and my bags came out cleaner than when I came!
The food also left us speechless. I’ve never tasted such a delicious meal, and I consider myself a foodie. The dishes were prepared fresh right in front of us. Every detail was attended to, from presentation to taste. It deserves a 100% without a doubt. Since I had a food allergy, they were careful to leave out the allergen in all the foods. I was really thankful for that, because it’s not always a given at Asian restaurants.
The establishment itself is dated, but that’s why we chose it in the first place- to feel the aura of tradition. Having said that though, it was slightly inconvenient that there was no shower inside our room. However, it wasn’t too much of a problem because the shared shower/onsen room was just a short distance from our room, and it was generally not occupied. When we stayed there, there was a storm going on, so the the rain crashing on the window and the outside blinds gave off a spooky feeling, which added to the sense of adventure.

GGuest UserThis is quite a traditional onsen hotel, featuring both 'Gold' and 'Silver' springs. Our one-night stay for five people, including two meals, cost a total of 5000 RMB, and we were quite happy with the value. Upon arriving at Arima Station by bus, you can call the hotel for a pick-up service. Check-in is at 3 PM, leaving plenty of time to explore the small town afterwards, but be aware that most shops close by 5 PM. The Kaiseki dinner wasn't particularly impressive, but it was definitely filling.

AAndrea ElijhaOverall, the experience was pleasant, with the only minor drawback being the price, which was a bit steep. While I had hoped for a more traditional Japanese garden and architecture, the hotel itself leans towards a modern Japanese aesthetic.
Visiting in summer, gazing at the lush green mountains through the window truly feels like a picturesque framed view, and the hot springs were wonderfully rejuvenating. However, I suspect autumn would be the most opportune time to visit, to witness the mountains ablaze with crimson foliage (assuming the trees aren't evergreen).
A misunderstanding arose at check-out due to unclear communication regarding payment policies between the booking platform, the hotel, and myself. The hotel insisted they had not received the online payment and demanded offline payment for a range of services, including breakfast, dinner, taxes, accommodation, and private onsen. As a customer, I initially thought I was being double-charged, as I had already made a payment online. The total cost for the two-day stay was approximately 221,110 JPY, which converts to roughly 11,000 HKD or CNY.
Upon immediately contacting Trip.com's customer service, they confirmed that our online payment covered both accommodation and meals, and advised that the hotel's demand for offline payment for these items was contentious and unnecessary. It was only later clarified that the payment made on Trip.com was merely a hold to secure the room and would be fully refunded upon check-out.

Great
NNormanThe location is excellent for visiting nearby sightseeing spots. For example, Kitano Ijinkan and Herb Garden. The high speed railway is also right next to the hotel, which makes it very convenient. I have been to other hotels such as Hotel Okura and Meriken Oriental Hotel. After visiting all of them, I still think ANA Crowne Kobe is not only the cheapest but the best in terms of location, services, and amenities. For example, gym is Crowne is free compared to the other two. They also got adapters for foreigners unlike the other two. Furthermore, they got a lot of restaurants inside and nearby which makes it a very appealing place for a business trip.
++tengIt takes about 20 minutes to take the bus + walk from Shin-Kobe Station.
It is a 10-minute walk from Sannomiya Station.
The location is convenient and the environment is OK.
The restaurant is relatively small and it is a bit difficult to find a seat when there are many people in the morning.
GGuest UserGreat hotel.Great value for money when we stayed.Location excellen bring near the shops and food establishments.zKpbe is well worth a visit and in reality it's as good if not better than Osaka. Room sizes were good. Would definitely stay again here at this hotel.
GGuest UserAlthough there is only an indoor hot spring and no outdoor scenery, the facilities are quite complete. The hotel provides bathrobes and slippers for children, and there are small games for children to play on the 4th floor.
I didn't see any options for dinner when I booked via Ctrip, only the basic ones. The basic set meal only has 2 slices of teriyaki wagyu beef, which is not a big portion but just enough. Additional purchases on the spot are not allowed. But if you want to change to barbecue or increase the quantity, you can try to communicate with the hotel by email in advance. On the contrary, breakfast is in buffet style with many choices. The taste is not bad overall.

Very Good
KkarekarekareBook a female dorm room for 4 people, but I was alone so have the room for myself. The bed is futon style, a thin foam and then the futon mattress itself. We get a new white sheet upon check in. There's a thin full body mirror, small rack for suitcases and personal belongings, but if you need to, there's also safe box near staff room. The female dorm room is on the 2nd floor, next to the shared kitchen so you can kinda hear other guests cooking or working on their laptop with the wifi. You can have your coffe, tea, cup ramen and even light cooking is allowed as they provided the pans, and also some seasonings. The sink and the toilet is next to it, hairdryers are available and the toilet has bidet seat.
The shower room are on the b1f floor, which a little bit of hassle because you have to pass the staff room everytime. You can wash & dry you clothes too in the utility room next to it, but I dont know if they charge or not. Another kitchen and TV room is also here. Rental towels, bath robe, one time use shaver are also available.
Over all a pleasant place if you only looking to for a place to sleep, and wash your self. It's 5 minutes walk from Oishi station. There's a small river near too which also a nice place for a small walk.
KKKOne word ”positive”. This Xiaoduli is the other garden of another hot spring hotel above. There are kaiseki dishes and fire dinner. In the evening, you have to go up for a minute to eat, so you must go to the 7/F public bathing hot spring to soak first, and then go to eat. You can book a family room (two of them) for 45 minutes per room per day. Before arriving, you can call to book a car to pick you up at the station, and the hotel will email you in advance. The two meals included are very rich, with delicious ingredients, including beef and fish. There is a self-service water bar in the middle lobby, with hot and cold green tea, coffee, etc. There is no toilet in the room, you have to use the public toilet, but it is very clean. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down to the hot spring street, where you can spend half a day.
