"Quiet surrounding. Need to drive nearby to find food. There’s drug stores, Uniqlo, Daiso & restaurants within 10mins drive. Hotel’s buffet breakfast was simple but tasted good and they served some speciality dishes. Coffee machine was available all day which was nice since weather was cold. Room was clean and there’s a wardrobe. Just that the pillow was too flat for me and I had to place my jacket below for better support. Not sure if front desk will give extra pillow. Found a cafe operated by an elderly couple behind the hotel. We ordered toast which was yummy. The menu had rice dishes too."

"We went as a couple during the Obon holiday, and it was crowded. It was good that it was close to the downtown area, but the izakayas were fully booked, and we got tired walking around looking for one! We could have changed the hotel to a smoking one, but the room was a bit dusty, and the bathroom was only a single size. It would have been better to bring the amenities in the lobby with you from the start! Breakfast was also crowded, so we couldn't enjoy it leisurely! I guess it was fine considering the time of year and our budget..."

"I visited last year and found it quiet and peaceful, so I went back. The view of Lake Saroma from the room was wonderful, and the sunset on a clear day was especially memorable. The seafood was delicious, as expected, and the assorted platter served at the beginning was good. There was also a numbered card on the table, and when you presented it to the chef doing the kamado-yaki (pie wrap), he gave you a free serving of the finished product, which I think was an ingenious system. There were also binoculars in the desk drawer in the room, which showed consideration for bird watching."
