"Have stayed at this Travelodge 4 times in the past year while visiting family. The restaurant serves a great buffet breakfast. There's road noise affecting the rooms at the front of the hotel. Rooms at the back are much quieter but you only get a view of the car park. Car park is now £6.50/day and may get full in the evenings."

"Overall, our stay at Premier Inn Ipswich South was... okay. The room itself was clean and perfectly acceptable, but the biggest issue was the heat. There was no air conditioning, and despite having the window open and the fan on, it was still incredibly warm, making it difficult to get comfortable. The gentleman on reception when we arrived was excellent – friendly, welcoming and a great first impression for the hotel. We managed to get some sleep on the first night, although there was quite a bit of noise from the room above us. It wasn't terrible, but combined with the heat, it meant we only got a minimal amount of sleep. The following morning there was a power cut, which was a bit of a surprise. At first I thought it was just our room, but it turned out the entire hotel had lost power. Thankfully we hadn't booked breakfast, although staff explained it had affected the breakfast service for those who had. The second night was much the same. The room was fine, but again the heat was the main issue. I also had the slightly awkward experience of having to ask a member of staff for a plunger... I'll leave the reason to your imagination! Fair play to him though – he handled it professionally and was a really sound bloke. Overall, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, but the lack of air conditioning made the visit far less comfortable than it should have been. Would I stay here again? Probably not."
