"The apartment is located about 10 minutes walk from Hakone Yumoto station. Check in instructions was easy. The rooms were big and comfortable. Kitchen was a useful size, only thing is the ports and pans were slightly dirty."

From the receptionist in the parking lot to the front desk and lounge are first class As soon as I entered the wooden house, I smelled a faint woody fragrance, and my whole person suddenly relaxed a lot. You have to take off your shoes when you enter the hotel, and the front desk will take care of them, so you directly step on the tatami with your feet, soft and comfortable. The room is very large, there are three doors from the main door of the room to the position of the bed, so the room is very quiet. The bed is very large, moderately soft and hard. There are also hair loops for long hair. The whole arrangement is very careful. The view of the room is first-rate, and soaking in a daze in the open-air hot spring is a first-class enjoyment. Dinner and breakfast are in the restaurant on the second floor. Arrange a time with the waiter to go to the first floor and they will show you where to eat. Dining is in a semi-private room with tatami mats, and no other guests will be seen. The waiter for both meals is the same person, needless to say, polite, with a bright smile, very hard to explain the dishes in simple English. It is suitable for people who like to be quiet, slow, and [not to see people]!"

"Location was good. Mount Fuji view from the room. You are able to see the whole lake. Check in staff was detailed and informative. But nobody was there to help with bags. There’s a few steps up to the lobby and there’s not slope for us to push the luggages. We drag it up and down ourselves.  Not much selections with food. Breakfast was bad and expensive. Dinner was okay at French restaurant. Good thing was there’s an onsen in the hotel. Parking was free. "

"Haha a very pleasant stay here. Staff had extremely good service, private hot tub was why we chose this hotel. Food served was delicious too. The room is pricey but also comes with a few free gifts & some free drinks and snacks."

"An excellent kaiseki and outstanding service—one of the best experiences of my life. The onsen offers a stunning view of the mountains, and there's also a water amusement park nearby with free admission for guests. In the morning, I was greeted with a delicious breakfast featuring a wide variety of delicacies. Recommended."

"Hotel experience was mixed. Positive: the hotel site has a lot of history, the Japanese garden was beautiful and the best part of the hotel. The included meals were good but not spectacular - yet the setting with a view of the Japanese garden was beautiful Negative: the facility was dated with little catch up updares. Only one lock key can be provided n made my wife n my visit to the Onsen very inconvenient as we had to wait for each other all times. The outdoor access for men Onsen had to go thru a common area for men n women so need to re-clothe to get thru, not great. Facility for the Onsen bath were dated n worn out. The in room lighting was dim n equipment facility visibly outdated. The worst was I discovered a big size cockcroach in the bathroom when I got back from Onsen bath in the morning. Smashed it n picture enclosed. We had high expectations coming in to the hotels with strong recommendations by Japanese friends. Was quite underwhelmed. I had stayed at other well rated Ryokans before n most have met or exceeded my expectation. This one fell far short of it."

"Very happy with the hotel. Nice, clean room. Location wise is pretty good, accessible by public transport, hotel provide 2 way shuttle bus on request from odawara station and hotel. Buffet breakfast and dinner is excellent, good variety of Japanese and western food, free of alcoholic and non- alcoholic drinks. Location is next to Lake Ashi , nice view from hotel. There are eateries and shops down the road from hotel. Highly recommended. Definitely would come back again for future trips with family and friends."

"Japanese-style hotel, small and exquisite, with meticulous service. Breakfast and dinner are quite attentive, rich, and taste OK. The hot spring is very comfortable and the room is spacious. The downside is that the transportation is inconvenient, and you can choose to charter a car. The public area is small and there is no courtyard. Moreover, the room we were arranged in the corner of the first floor, and the private bath in the room is facing a wall of earth slope. The family open-air private bath is arranged at the foot of the mountain, just looking at the earth slope. When taking a bath, I didn’t enjoy any exquisiteness at all, and there was no scenery in the official picture at all. The arrangement of 6,000 yuan for one night to pick up the airport is really a nuisance."

"Nice place, helpful staff, gave us the opportunity to enjoy onsen late night when we arrived. Room was spacious, with all necessary staff for short stay, only downside was a bit of a sewer smell in the room."

"A great place to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Japan. Dinner and breakfast are amazing, not every girl can handle dinner. Traditional clothes that are provided and in which everyone walks around the hotel, enhances the feeling that you are in medieval Japan) There is a store at the reception and everything you take can be paid for upon check-out, since there is nowhere to carry money, and everything else, there are no pockets in traditional clothing) Well, the onsen was good, when we stayed there, it was cool and pouring rain and sitting in hot water and looking at bamboo plantations was great. The price for a private onsen is generally ridiculous, in my opinion 2500 yen for 45 minutes."
