We spent 3 nights in the hotel at the castle park and were very satisfied with the entire hotel offer of this owner-led business. Breakfast and dinner were good to very good, the service very friendly and professional. It is also important to highlight the good location with short paths to the attractions and the old town.

The hotel is just a little away from Erfurt. But you are in 20 minutes by car in the city centre. Parking is abundant and costs 2 Euros per night. The staff is very attentive and super child friendly. The facilities in the entire hotel are modern and extremely maintained. The rooms are very clean and equipped with everything you need. Breakfast was rich and the choice was excellent. The restaurant was very good food. However, we would have wished a small selection of children's foods. If we are back close, we will certainly book this hotel.

Although the rooms are not cleaned at weekend as we have been told, the sauna is not also available from 10:00 to 15:00 because the staff are needed to clean the room. All in all, the hotel is very expensive with the overnight price, especially since the service is incredibly restricted. We will not decide again for this hotel in Erfurt.

Ahorn Hotel - Nie wieder! Achtung: Bilder auf der Homepage sind eine vielversprechende Verarsche. Bezüglich der geworbenen Kinderfreundlichkeit und der Aktivitäten Möglichkeit: Streichelzoo: Nein, Mini gehe mit 4 ausgewachsenen Ziege. Welche man sich hinter einem Zaun angucken kann. Fütterung fand nicht planmäßig statt. Aber diese ist für Kinder unspektakulär, da eine Mitarbeiterin des Hotels einfach reingeht den Tieren essen hinlegt und das war’s. Kinder besonders kleine werden hier nicht spielerisch oder irgendwie mit einbezogen. Indoor Spiel Platz oder diese Mini Planet oder Kids Planet Räume: Das Frühstück war naja - es gab eine Auswahl aber eher essbar als Genuss. Zimmer an sich sauber ( sehen mal nen Lappen und Staubsauger und Bettbezug wird gewechselt so wie Handtücher) aber das Zimmer an sich ist sehr herunter gekommen und überhaupt nicht Kindersicher. Der Service ist schwach, patzig und nicht hilfreich. Fragte nach einem Wasserkocher an der Info - man hat sich gewundert das keine aufs Zimmer sei und mich an die Rezeption verwiesen. An dieser wurde ich drauf aufmerksam gemacht das ich diesen ausleihen könnte für 10€ Pfand- naja Ciatronic Billig Wasserkocher mit Kalk - meine Tochter konnte ich so ihr Schnuller kurz mit dem heißen Wasser abspülen aber einen Tee daraus hätte ich ungern gemacht. Wir fragten ob wir Mittagessen können in einem der Restaurants oder in der Nähe wurden wir auf den Imbiss am außenpolitisch verwiesen da gäbe es vielleicht Bockwürste und ne Pizza ( zu Pizza die überteuert verkauft wurde). Mein Mann hatte starken Hunger und es sich geholt. Danach war er auch nicht besser gelaunt. Wir hatten erwähnt das wir bereit waren ins azdado zu gehen und unser Abendessen vorzuziehen ( hatten nach 15 Uhr) und ich fragte wann dort die Küche öffnete. Es kam ein keine Ahnung und der Hinweis man sollte hoch wenn wir es wollen. Ein Hotel sollte doch über das Haus eigene Restaurant Bescheid wissen. Die zubuchung zur Halbpension wurde uns auch eher abgeraten ( nach dem Frühstück wussten wir wieso). Eine einheitliche Kommunikation besteht auch nicht Hotel intern. Und das 2021 mit reichlich Möglichkeiten eine schnellen, einheitlichen Kommunikation. Das beste am Hotel - man freut sich auf zuhause und lernt sein Zuhause schätzen. Jedes nicht Kinder Hotel ist besser ! Familien spart euer Geld und geht in ein Hotel Nähe eines Freizeit Bad ist besser und günstiger als das !!! Achja - und euere Kinder wird es dort besser gehen sowie euch auch! Zum Ende unseres ( Gott sei Dank sehr kurzen Besuch sonst hätte ich freiwillig eher ausgecheckt. Kam ein vielleicht sieht man sicher - auf mein Anwort Nein fragte man mich ob es mir nicht gefallen hätte und es kam ein Nein von mir. Das war’s - Beschwerde Management ist nicht gegeben. Ich könnte noch einiges aufzählen was mir in den 2 Tagen auffiel aber das würde den Rahmen sprengen. My stay Silvester 21/22, an experience I never wish any other guest! Respect absolute service Desert: no 4 * Classification expect, 1. Station and surroundings - quietly located and beautiful forest nearby, perfect for nature friends and point of start to discover the Th. Forest. 2. Hotel appearance and atmosphere - outdoor area ok , 20 years ago certainly still look beautiful. (But not in principle) atmosphere in the 90s style, few but lovely deco elements can be recognized. Hotel rooms: Suite booked, newly renovated furniture with beautiful wood elements, however wallpapers and hangs old and dirty. Bed with hair picked and bath dirty & dust, (unfortunately technology defect, can happen) Restaurant & Hall: also here in the 90s style, nostalgic who likes it. 3. Silverstergala appearance: , cold & no table deco , 5 gang menu covered and air balloon on the chair, would not be bad in a restaurant. (However for 99,€ incl. 5 gang menu - (was ok and has tasted, but with components that were not even on the map) Glass Sekt, DJ without moderation & function with dance ban (Corona however not communicated before) , Magician reminded me of Max Giermann Magic Show at LOL, (unfortunately the worst arrangement I've ever experienced- Silvester menu would have been the right name to adjust the expectations, Yes I like to pay €99 for an experience and good food, but that was not worth €50. 4. Wellness area and fitness room: beautiful swimming pool with views of the forest (my booking ground) and 2 saunas as well as functional but not lovely relaxing area. (unfortunately not available, at request at Check IN watches, 1 room/h for the entire wellness area Corona ) here would be sauna & swimming pool dividable due to the arrangement. Fitness room - 6 equipment from the 2000er 5. Service - absolute disaster , already at check in could not be made clear statements, at the table swallow - the server went down saying to the kitchen ( who come here and don't even know the dance ban is. (no I asked for the musical entertainment when booking and was pointed to change of band to DJ) a CD would have done it too. Rooms dirty - (reception no idea, look another- OK ). Old suite - yes bath clean but bed with hair- we can have new clothes - (no no housekeeping there) call - (tablet defect, you bring it down to me , I charge it, OK but then it still remains not loadable if......! Personal - dressing different and not representative( for a pension or kneipe -OK) service-oriented equal to zero, unknown and lack of communication, unfortunately believes something unmotivated by management. Hotel management respect and discrete , unfriendly , no guest-oriented behaviour , absolutely disastrous and lack of readiness to resolve (
