Before it was served a drink at the end of the afternoon, after the pandemic has no more, I believe that it should give the customer the option to pay a symbolic value to return to these drinks at the end of the afternoon.

I stayed here for three nights after a business trip to Rio and São Paulo. I was given initially an inside room but when I asked for one with an outside window as quickly given one. The room was clean but small. For two people with handbagage only it is okay but not if both have suitcases. There was a small table and two chairs but this does not offer space to relax at night. The WiFi worked well even for parts of the terrace. The location is good. It is near the busstation from which busses depart to the falls and Argentina. There are numerous places to eat nearby. A breakfast buffet is included in the price. It is not like those of business hotels I’ve stayed in e.g. does not have natural yoghurt or nice cereals and far too many cakes for my continental European liking but there was a lot of choice and good coffee. Front desk staff spoke English and were very friendly. Note that there are no cAsh machines nearby - the nearest is in super muffato and this one didn’t seem to like foreign cards.

Upon arriving at the hotel at 11 am after a full night of travel, I was asked to stay and wait until 2 pm or until a room opened up. I then requested an upgrade, hoping a higher level room would open up sooner. As a Wyndham Diamond member, not only did they not recognize my status or any membership with them at all, they also tried to charge me for the upgrade and did not allow any early check-in. It was only after mentioning that I was Diamond and showing them on the app that Diamond members can get free upgrades that they allowed me to be upgraded and check-in early. While I'm happy with the result, I've never had any other hotel neglect to acknowledge my status, especially if it's that respective brand's top-tier status. I've also never had to remind the hotel itself of their own membership benefits policy. To me, it seems almost embarrassing that they did not know how to treat their Diamond members. Other Wyndhams I've stayed at were happy to upgrade me, oftentimes without me even requesting it. For the stay itself, the suite was nice and very large. Two queen beds with a small seating area. TV was positioned a bit oddly, but still watchable. I liked that they had a microwave, kettle, and fridge, but the fridge was stocked full of drinks that they laughably did not know or have the prices for. There was also a vent in the room that was making odd noises and allowing warm air inside. The room did have a nice view, though, and the location was not bad. Finally, breakfast was actually quite good, with decent variety and hot food options. Check-out was a breeze and very quick, thanks to me not consuming any minibar drinks.

We love this resort. Sadly, we only stayed two nights, and I feel like we should have stayed at least three days. One problem I had is that I requested a room with a king or queen bed size, and they ended up giving me a room with two beds. Overall, the place is awesome, the drinks are perfect and we're excited to see the expansion of this place.

My wife and I ran into some issues at the border when we tried to cross. Somehow the Argentine visa is much harder to get than we initially thought. So we were stuck on the Brazil side - after seeing the awesome Iguazu falls. We looked up some quick hotels in the area so we can camp out until the visa came through (which never did btw) and found this gem of a place. Literally a 10 minute walk from a pretty sizable indoor mall. Front desk staff were very accommodating- and helped us navigate our stressful scenario fantastically. Claudia and Jacir went well above the normal expectations And in our view are the gold standard of hotel staff. The whole place was elegant. The food delicious. The wait staff very attentive to our needs. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Iguazu area. They really made our last few days in Brazil enjoyable -even though it was an unexpected stop - we don’t regret a minute of it.

The hotel is perfectly located, around 10 minutes from the airport and about the same again to the entrance of Iguassu falls. Rooms were spacious and comfortable with huge beds but they were looking very tired and even battered in places and are in need of modernising. The balcony had no outdoor furniture which seemed strange. The main pool was freezing cold as were the smaller pools around the houses although I think this is the norm for Brazil? They were too cold for our kids to enjoy unfortunately. Our hot tub was also cold on arrival but a quick call to reception sorted this promptly. Reception staff were excellent, they were super helpful with any queries and helped us organise our excursions and spoke perfect English. Breakfast was excellent and evening dinner in the buffet was also good but it does get very busy in there at certain times. We didn’t use the other restaurants as we were on a half board package but the menus around the pool were good for lunch. Cocktails were also great and reasonably priced. There is a brilliant entertainment programme on throughout the day with various activities, including the high ropes course which was completely free of charge! We also enjoyed the games room in the kids club. The general feel of the whole resort felt like it was missing something and needs a lot of money investing into it. We were only there for 3 nights which felt like the perfect duration for what we had planned. The resort has the potential to be something really special but at the moment it is far from a luxury resort but a good base for visiting Iguassu Falls.

We stayed here while going to Iguazu Falls. The Iguazu Falls airfield and the entrance to the Falls Park are only 3km away and I couldn't find a driver willing to take an Uber. This hotel is about 1km from the airport, so you can walk if you don't have big luggage. If you leave your luggage at the hotel and become light, you can walk straight to the entrance of Takino Park in 25 minutes. The hotel has a very large swimming pool and amusement facilities. With a breakfast buffet, the couple stopped at a reasonable price of 7000 yen. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant for 80R = 2400 yen. Recommended if you don't go to Iguazu town and see the falls on the Brazilian side. I was able to enjoy the sightseeing of the waterfall in about 3 hours.

Simply amazing hotel. All renovated. Impeccable facilities. Restaurants. Piano bar. Everything perfect. Tranquility and quality at the maximum limit. GGuest UserOur experience at the Belmond can only be described as magical. The hotel itself is beautiful, every member of staff were lovely, the cocktails at Bar Tarobá were incredible, and the pool was great - our whole stay could not have gone smoother. But, what makes this hotel so special is the access to the falls. Being inside the national park before and after it is open to the public is an unmissable experience - you only have to step foot outside of the lobby to be greeted with a beautiful view. We decided to walk the trail at sunset after it had closed to the public, and we were the only people there. During the day, as you can imagine, it can be packed, so being able to experience it privately was so unique - plus, it gave us the most amazing photo opportunities! As we were walking the trail we thought to ourselves ‘this in itself is an experience we’re sure some people would pay more than the price of the hotel for!’. It was an unforgettable evening to cherish forever. The hotel concierge was excellent, arranging wonderful experiences for us - including a boat trip (which they supply towels and ponchos for). After staying here on the Brazilian side, we stayed on the Argentinian side for two nights, but, if I were to go back and repeat this trip, I would definitely only stay at the Belmond and just do a day trip to the Argentinian side with the help of the concierge. The breakfast and lunch buffets at Ipê Restaurant were delicious, but our meal at Itaipu was stand out - by far the best meal we had in Brazil. Being so full after starter and main course but could not resist a dessert - you have to have dinner here! Having visited a number of other wonderful Belmond properties, it is without a doubt that this one is a favourite and would absolutely love to return. There is no question about it, you simply must stay here when visiting the falls - you will regret it if you don’t! And finally, this Belmond is absolutely incredible. Five stars is simply not enough. It is a seven star hotel.

GGuest UserGreat place to go with family and friends. Great place to go with kids. Good things: huge place with great variety of activites; external (cold) pool, internal (warm) pool, special pool with 6 slides for kids (and also grown up people ;) ), great food and variets (menu changes everyday). There is a place with rescued animals, nice tour along their ”farm” where many vegetables from the salad bar grow. Rooms are pretty fine, some humidity smell but there is not much to be done and nothing terrible. The things to be improved: I must say that a hotel MUST have people that speak other languages, at least English! Most of the people did not speak english nor spanish nor french nor any language apart from portuguese. At the end, we alywas made ourselves understood and got what we wanted but this is something that makes the difference between and Excellent place and The Best place. Another thing to be improved is the system that is used for charging consumptions; due to connectivity issues, they were many times duplicated. Also, related to the account, I found several room bar consumptions that were not done by us. They shold be more careful with this kind of things as I believe that not all the people checks this. Anyway, there are things to be improved but this did not prevented myself and my family from having a wonderful vacations on this hotel. We will definitely return and we are sure that the suggested things will then be solved. ;)

GGuest UserEverything about the hotel is wonderful, I went as a child and I want to go back more often. The service, cleanliness, tutors, location, everything was perfect. The hotel is located on the main route of Foz do Iguaçu, where transport is very easy. For children, there are several game rooms where parents don't have to worry about their children's safety. And for adults, there are bars everywhere. Attractions outside the hotel are spectacular, well worth a visit

GGuest UserMy one-night stay was marred by the worst sound proofing I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. We were in a connecting room, and could hear every noise from next door as if it was in our room. Noise from the corridor was also bad. For what seems to be a new build hotel there were quite a few defects: the sound proofing, the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, there were gaps in the main and connecting door frames letting light in. It’s clearly not the fault of the staff or management but it smacked of poor quality build (as did other signs of damage to the fabric of the building such as cracks in the exterior wall) and did impact our stay. That said, it’s a really nice hotel in many ways. There were so many positives about my stay: great service from staff, really good breakfast, excellent outdoor swimming pools. If it wasn’t for the noise and light issues I’d have given it five stars.

GGuest Usertook the public bus from Foz airport to within 300 yards of hotel which is off the beaten track in an exceptionally hilly town so selecting the stop at the top of the hill is pretty important! friendly welcome at reception on arrival, efficient check in with all important info explained carefully. large comfy clean room with fridge and efficient A/C. breakfast included was pretty good with toaster to make cheese & ham toastie. nice pool with plenty of bed chairs (although only 59F so not used). buffet dinner with a la carte choices ok but unexciting. recommended Ten minutes walk (uphill) to public bus for Argentina or Paraguay (stops OUTSIDE bus Terminal) or falls (stop inside)

LLucas MExcellent hotel in Foz do Iguaçu! Special thanks to the attendant Alisson who helped us with numerous tips and made our experience in the city much better. He gave tips of locations, programming, security, attractions timetables among others.

JJackScarlettWe stayed here so base ourselves well to visit the falls. It’s not that well located to anything else but Uber’s are about £1 for most journeys so that did not matter. The hotel is very dated and in need of a clean/refurb. The safe did not work in our room. We told the staff and they gave us further instructions for how to activate it and it still did not work. We booked a trip to the Argentina side of the falls including a boat tour, using the hotel staff. They neglected to tell us we would need cash to to change into Argentinian Pesos which meant we had to awkwardly borrow cash from the (very good) tour guide. The staff also forgot to book us onto the boat tour (which we had paid for!!) which meant the tour guide had to frantically organise this at the last minute. There are not enough lifts in the building and they are too small. There was consistently a long wait for the lifts which was very frustrating. The windows to the room were filthy. In terms of positives, it’s easy to find as it’s massive. There was also a decent selection in the buffet breakfast.
