Foz do Iguacu Hotels with Airport pickup service

Wonderful hotel with the unique experience of staying with the Parque Nacional de Iguaçu. The building itself is also a piece of history and the facilities are top notch. The staff is very attentive, informative, and friendly with the exception of the registration/check-in desk. Most of the employees at the front the desk acted as if they were being bothered to perform their job which was such a stark contrast from the rest of the hotel staff. We are a younger couple that had been traveling for a week prior to arriving to the Belmond and we saw the difference in the treatment one such employee (Martins) gave to us, as compared to other customers who may be older or appear wealthier. In fact, we enjoyed the hotel very much regardless and wanted to extend our stay but we were met by ambivalence by Martins and Samuel at the front desk and instead of extending for three more days chose to save the money to stay another property next week.

Clean and quiet room. Great buffet breakfast. Good value for money. In central location, lots of places to eat nearby. Nothing more to say, but one of the best in town for the money, good friendly staff too. Oh and the gift shop sells weird but wonderful gourmet chocolate, including bacon flavour

Wonderful hotel, great service, delicious and varied breakfast. The only thing that left something to be desired is that there is no shower stall in the bathroom.

Hotel bem localizado próximo à rodoviária internacional, mercados e padarias. A estrutura do prédio é antiga. Tem estacionamento bem amplo. Os quartos são bem amplos e limpos com ar condicionado, mas que precisam de uma manutenção. Gostei da cama, confortável. Banheiro grande com boa ducha que esquenta. O cofre é cobrado R$ 3,00 a diária, nunca vi isso em outros hotéis. O café da manhã bom, mas deveria ser servido as 6, por conta dos passeios com agências. Antes das 7 já tem fila de hóspedes esperando para tomar o café correndo para não atrasar os passeios. Não gostei muito da recepcionista, achei um pouco ríspida. Em geral, a estadia for boa.

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Foz do Iguacu, and we stayed at this property. Check in went smoothly, and the staff member who checked us in was very helpful, both when we checked in, as well as when our tour company failed to show up for our tour. He started the process of helping us make other arrangements for the tour, and then his colleague, Wagner, stepped in at the shift change. Wagner's help was invaluable!! We had another issue with a pick up later that evening for an event that we booked through the hotel, and he not only called the company, he also empathized with us and took a genuine interest in getting to know us while we waited for our pick up, which finally showed up an hour after the scheduled pick up time. The only negative that is worth mentioning is that all correspondence from the hotel before our arrival was in Portuguese, a language that neither my husband nor myself speaks. I reached out twice to the hotel to ask them to send emails in English but did not receive any acknowledgment of those emails and actually, subsequently, received another email in Portuguese, presumably to do a web check in from my guesses based on my knowledge of Spanish and some of the similarities between the languages. It turns out, none of that impacted our ability to check in in person, but what if it had? I realize the hotel is in Brazil, but consideration should be made for those of us who do not speak the language, or at least acknowledgment when proactively asked to send a translated summary of what is being requested. Ultimately, we appreciated the staff's kindness and assistance (including giving us a place to shower and change clothes after a long flight while we waited for our room), and hope they take the above suggestion about their correspondence into consideration.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, the beds are comfortable with new beds. But this hotel highlights the attention of the staff, I had several personal problems related to work during the visit and the team was all the time dealing with helping me to solve, The hotel staff were very helpful and helpful.
