I wanted to love this place enough to give it 5 stars, but I just can’t. If it weren’t for the staff, I would have given it 1 star. Every staff member I encountered was TOP NOTCH. Maria in the kitchen and Samuel at the front desk were OUTSTANDING. We had several issues with our reservation; enough to make us decide to never stay here again. We were given the wrong room when we checked in. When we finally got the right room, there was a lot of hair all over the floor & sink in the bathroom. The sofa bed was broken, contributing to a miserable night’s sleep (the VERY LOUD AC/heating unit didn’t help either). There were no sheets on the sofa bed and when I inquired, I was handed a bed in a bag and told to make the bed myself. I reserved a room for 3 people so there was no reason for them to not make up the bed in advance. The only trash can in the entire suite was in the bathroom, there foolishly wasn’t one in or near the kitchenette area. You have to walk across the room to turn the light on when you enter the 2nd room. This was challenging in the dark. There’s a switch when you first walk in, but there was no light connected to it. We were glad we only planned to stay 1 night. I can’t believe we had to pay for this misery. We have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express locations and had expected the same quality we’ve had at other locations. Boy were we wrong!

We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago when visiting relatives in Florida. We booked it for a couple of days as we are moving our dad to nursing care on Cape Coral. All we wanted was a good nights sleep in a clean room. This hotel has been updated so much since we were here before. My husband was laughing at how excited I was to see Dove Body Lotion in the bath room, just coming from the Bahamas, my skins was so dry…they have Kerigs for coffee and tea in the room, new carpeting, walls and ceilings newly painted and the beds are so comfy. Just what we need for this trip. There was some music playing next door, but we had a small balcony to sit on a have a cup of tea before bed and listen to the tunes, they stopped at 9, so not any issues with that at all. We have an early start tomorrow so glad they have breakfast in the lobby. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers. We stayed in room 320 today 3/30 and will stay on 3/31 and head home on Saturday.

Love everything about this Resort but have to single out the staff. From check-in with Diane, to vehicle/luggage assistance from James, James, Dave and NELSON (!), to Sam and the best filet/service ever at Courtside Restaurant and to Chris for the great poolside conversation and delicious food choices. I know I’ve left out a few but everyone at the front desk was helpful and friendly. The resort is recovering from Ian and the staff did everything possible to provide a great stay.

Excellent
GGuest UserWe were visiting my son for parents weekend at FGCU. The location was excellent. The price was higher than when we moved him in. The breakfast left a little to be desired. The room was clean.
GGuest UserVery pleased with our experience. This is not a new hotel but everything was nice. Pillows and mattresses comfy. Location was easy to get to and staff was helpful. Our high-light was Tammy who works M-W in the breakfast area. She is a GEM!!! She spoke to every single guest and you felt like she was hosting old friends in her own home. We found out that she used to sing so we talked her into gracing us with her talent! We weren't disappointed nor were those who heard her down the hall and stopped by to say how much they enjoyed hearing her! Seriously, she was such a sweetie! We asked her about local things to do and she took her break time to give us detailed information. I'd stay here again just because of her! The only negative thing was that the pool could use some chemicals. The walls were full of green algae.
GGuest UserVery nice hotel! Rooms are very spacious and accommodating! Stove top and dishwasher so no need to eat out if you don't want to. Its conveniently located smack dab right in the middle of so many major shops and stores! Close to downtown Ft. Myers, makes it an awesome getaway!
GGuest UserThe location is perfect, it's very close to Bell Tower, Dave & Buster's and many good restaurants. And it's also only 20 mins from Downtown.
In general, the hotel is clean. However, I found a little hair on the toilet, I have to use a disinfection wipe to clean it by myself.
Besides that, the fitness center is big enough and the swimming pool is also nice.
GGuest UserWe love this location right in the middle of downtown Fort Myers, Florida. We've stayed here a few times, including before the recent renovation. There is a an interesting variety of rooms with different layouts which we enjoyed. This time we chose a King room with balcony and city view. The balcony is small but big enough for 2 people and while it does have an ok ”city view,” it also looks down upon another roof below with all the air conditioners (something we do not like when paying extra for a ”view”). However, you can also see the river along with a bit of Patio DeLeon, in the middle of downtown Fort Myers. At night, is where the view shines with all the colorful lighting and usual music can be heard from live musicians. This room is fairly large for a boutique hotel with a larger than usual TV. However, the TV and dresser on which it sits are oddly placed in a corner at an angle, and pretty far from the bed detracting from the size of the screen. Programming is not in HD and also not set to the correct proportions (everything was vertically compressed) and the remote does not allow adjustments for this. It has a nice kitchenette area with a mini fridge but no microwave which we thought it should have given the price for the room and how inexpensive small microwaves cost (It may have been an option but it should already be there). Shower is very nice but every 30 seconds the water pressure dropped, then climbed back up - no biggie, just odd. Toilet paper seemed cheap for this type of hotel but all other items seemed to match this type of hotel. You have to pay $3 per bottle for the 2 bottles that are already in the room. It's like ”nickel and diming” for something as inexpensive as bottled water - like having no microwave, it takes away from the experience given the price of the room. Some light fixtures were not fully seated into the ceiling and like most hotels, the air vent in the bathroom had visible dust (I realize most people don't even look at these things, but I tend to notice it). The bed, although newer, was very firm, and not what we typically find in an upscale hotel. The walls are ”thin” allowing sounds from outside and adjacent rooms to be heard which is just an observation, not necessarily a negative. Front desk personnel were friendly, professional and helpful. Parking options are basically valet or one of 2 nearby parking garages. One parking garage is literally across the street which worked great for us at a lot less than using valet - pros and cons to each. The ice machine on our floor was not working which requires you to acquire ice on another floor (we were on the 7th floor - the top floor). There is a nice little rooftop bar which has a similar view of the city as our room but a little higher. The bar area has decent seating with a good mix of small couches, chairs and high top tables. We did not eat or have room service during this stay but it's available. Overall, it's a very nice, small hotel in an ideal, convenient location and we will definitely go back.
GGuest UserGeneral, chain hotel with good value for money, often staying, can be accepted, that is, staying one night temporarily, is considered clean, breakfast is simple but can be full, fruit and meat and juice are considered good.
GGuest UserThis is a beautiful space for dinner and drinks with friends or business associates. I visited on a very hot humid evening and the waitstaff had the doors open in the bar area negating much of the AC. When it was time for dinner, we moved to the dining area that was closed off and the AC was welcomed relief. The food is good but a little pricey. I tried the flatbread which was very good ($18). Add ons like prosciutto are available for an additional charge. The restaurant service seemed a bit slow with only a few people in the restaurant. Parking at the hotel is expensive.
GGuest UserTo be fair the hotel was pretty good. The outside was not appealing to the eye but the room itself was very nice: facilities get a 5. Made reservations for one night about two weeks before my arrival. I had to push my reservation back by one day to accomodate my appointment so I canceled the reservation on expedia and made a new reservation ( 4 days before my arrival). I stayed at the hotel honoring my new reservation. I was charged for both my canceled reservation and my actual reervation. When I called they told me that they did not receive a canceled reservation from me until the day of my stay (which is false because I canceled before this date and received coonfirmation) they refused to refund me and told me to call expedia. I called expedia and they sent the refund to the hotel and the hotel refused to refund the money to me citing that they will honor their policy for same day cancellation ( which again was completed 4 days prior to my arrival) I offered to send my cancellation confirmation to them and they still refused my refund so they made double the amount of money from me (charging my card for the night I did not stay and the refund issued by expedia) very shade business between America's Best Value and Expedia.
GGuest UserEven though there was only two girls that had to do all the rooms and it took longer than expected to check in it was an absolutely great stay very comfortable and staff was amazing
