Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort

Flagstaff
My wife and I recently stayed overnight at The Twin Arrows during a Flagstaff getaway. What a great experience! A previous review noted one disappointment after another. Perhaps, based on that review, the ****** and hotel ”upped” their game, because we had a fantastic time! First of all, the customer service was excellent. As good, if not better than what you would receive in Las Vegas. From the ”kids” at the valet and front entrance to the check in staff, housekeeping and gaming staff, everyone was friendly and very helpful. We were also very happy to see that most, if not all of the staff was at least native, more probably Dine. Okay. So this five-story property isn't much to look at on the outside. But once inside, you realize where all the time and money was spent! A gorgeous foyer, spacious ****** with wonderfully high ceilings, a cool sports bar and café, an elegant steak house, and artistically wonderful hallways. Our room was spacious, clean and very quiet (a very heavy room door helped). It was tastefully appointed with cool native decor with hints of art deco. (BTW - we had a King view room.) The bathroom was very, very spacious with a two-sink set-up (a rarity) and a separated toilet. The walk-in shower was big enough for two. He had a terrific dinner in the Zenith steakhouse and a wonderful breakfast (including wonderful fry bread) in the Four Elements Café (reviewed separately). Here is the big suggestion. If you are looking to be close to downtown Flagstaff, this is NOT your hotel. Located off of the I-40, this hotel is PERFECT however if you want to be close to Winslow, the Homlovi Ruins, Walnut Canyon, Meteor Crater or the Petrified National Forest and Painted Desert. We used to think that the La Posada was the only elegant game in town in the area. This property has changed our minds. We will be back!

Came in with low expectations. Many of the low-middle and middle tier hotels were very pricey or booked out for the weekend probably due to events about town. You get an overall feeling of disrepair of the building; there were big gouges in the concrete in the area we were directed to park. Right outside our room were two plywood panels propped up on the railing that had Danger or something like that written in faded marker. The room furnishings, overall color scheme felt dated and old, the paint was bubbling on the bathroom door and there was trash behind the central cabinet. On the bright side, there were value in the amenities included in the (high) room rate, a large fridge, a microwave, breakfast in the lobby and there was an outdoor swimming pool we didn't use. Breakfast selection was good, a couple of different cereals, toast, bagels, muffins, hot food included eggs, sausage and waffles. There was decent coffee, tea, and a dispenser of apple and orange juice. Unfortunately, the waffle irons were not turned on and both had dripping waffle mix in a mess. Possibly a sign instructing guests would be helpful. The seating area was adequate for the amount of people there around 630Am. We had a room with 2 double beds; the bed was fairly comfortable, there are only three pillows on each bed, it would have been nice to have a fourth. There's a rainfall shower head in the bathroom which had decent water pressure, but can present a problem if you don't want to get your head wet; there were no shower caps provided. The towels were softer and fuller than I expected. There was no box of tissues in the restroom/sink area. Overall, very basic and adequate for our one night stay that was part of a group negotiated rate. Breakfast was the highlight. Not a hint of any luxury though and wouldn't stay there again for the prices we were forced to pay that weekend.

Do not give this hotel money. I will just leave the email I sent to them as a review. ”Hello, I booked a room in Hotel Aspen inn suites from from June 7th until the 9th. Upon arrival we were told we would need move all of our things from our room the next morning because they needed the room that we were given. We were told we would be given an identical room later the next day, but where my irritation comes from is that if the room was identical why did we need to repack all of our things instead of giving the free room to the people that were coming the next day? The manager said it's because the people had booked it almost a month and half ago, but so did we. We paid for the room for two full days thinking we would have a fridge, only to be told we needed to pack it all up. We wasted money on food that we in turn had to throw out because of your hotels inability to schedule properly. The room was also in a sad state, the phone was on the floor with no table , there were only 4 towels in a room meant for 6 people, no wash clothes, the sofa bed actually hurt to sleep on and there were no pillows or blankets for the sofa bed. The second room didn't even have a sheet for the sofa bed. I am requesting to have a partial refund for our room. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. If you are going to have someone leave a room they paid for, at least give them a warning before they arrive. Having the manager tell me that we agreed to this was also infuriating seeing as we had no other choice, we had to agree or have no room at all. I had 3 children with me, I can't sleep in my car. ” I use the term ”manager ” loosely. She was basically just telling my it was our fault for agreeing and if we wanted we could leave the entire time I was talking to her. The pool also had a lock on it the two days we stayed there, and your socks turned black if you walked in the floor.

Hard wood floors make this a much better value than other 2 star hotels in the area. Small but a clean bed and bathroom are all that's needed.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Flagstaff

This stay was so disappointing. We're Diamond members so we get to a lot of Hilton properties. The front desk staff was very kind and accommodating on check in, but it was the room maintenance that was just awful. The AC/Heat vent leaked all night and you could hear the drips. The rug was pulled back and worn out in front of the refrigerator and coffee maker and the staples were exposed so when I went to make my coffee in bare feet in the morning, the staple went right into my foot. The bathroom light flickered like a strobe light whenever you turned it on. These aren't service concerns, these are safety concerns. I mentioned it to the front desk, but they didn't seem concerned. If the leak had drenched towels it probably was leaking to the floor below. And if exposed staples are going into guests feet because of lack of room maintenance, it's a problem.

As usual the Hampton Inn here is a very good place to stay. The facility is affordable clean very well maintained with excellent and very helpful staff. It is close to shopping, restaurants and the campus of NAU. Parking is plentiful.

Watching the sunrise early, the effect is good. There is also a warm, delicate and thoughtful service at the front desk, beautiful people and sweet language. One thing is that the heat of the air conditioner at night is just collected by the curtains.
Fairfield Inn & Suites Flagstaff East

The hotel is a relatively new and advanced motel in the United States, the service is very good, the suite I live in, the bathroom is very big, the son's sofa bed can sleep well. It is the location too far from the Grand Canyon. I am set too late and during the tourist season, I can only live there. By the way, it was a bit hard.
