"This is a very high-end hotel with lovely pools, and the staff are as smiling and courteous as the Polynesians themselves. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient, and it's super close to the airport (less than 5 minutes away). The room was a bit dated, though, with a very creaky bed and minimal amenities. We did attend the Polynesian dance dinner show, and it was absolutely delightful! The only minor downside was the sun lounger situation at the lagoon pool. There's a pool attendant who provides towels, but they don't actually manage the loungers. So, you'd find loungers 'reserved' with towels, but the owners wouldn't return, essentially taking up space for no reason. Plus, there was an American clientele selfishly playing American football in the middle of swimmers and children... Americans, what can you do?"

"This hotel is pretty good for transit. We arrived after 1 a.m., and they offered free airport pick-up, which was quite nice. They also provide a paid transfer service to the ferry terminal and airport the next day, for about the same price as a taxi. The facilities and environment are so-so, but considering the price, I think it's a reasonably priced place to stay during your layover."
