A real mixed bag here, the location is good and the rooms are large, clean, beds comfortable and the ac works well. The staff are friendly. Those are the positives. The food, breakfast in particular is atrocious for a hotel in this price range the restaurant staff idle about playing on their phones. The rooms were cleaned very late in the day on several occasions. The internet is weak from the rooms.Whilst the front desk staff are friendly they are pretty clueless and on wanting to escalate certain issues I am told that the management are based in Puerto Princessa. With good management and a complete overhaul of the menu and some internet boosters this could be a great hotel.

The best hostel around. Amazing activities, from the daily island hopping tours to the evening games. Great kitchen with delicious food and good drinks. Comfortable and clean rooms with a great location and incredible sunset view.
But the best thing about outpost is the staff. Always on hand to make your stay better, forever happy and engaging. Really the best group of people that I will never forget.

Good wstay overall, a few hiccups here and there but staff were doing their best to deliver quality services, no major issues. We stayed at the ocean view room which is fantastic to wake up with morning view or sunset view. They could have done better to make sure the room is ready at check in time.
Restaurant food was actually really tasty and well done, highly recommend to spend at least a lunch and dinner at the hotel. Airport transfer was also comfortable and staff didn’t mind stopping us at the locations on the way. I also booked island tours at the hotel which was made easy and quick, no hassle looking for one outside.

I understand why reviews of this hotel are so mixed. I first stayed in the newer part - a beautiful room on the 3rd floor, overlooking the beach. The room was clean, new and sparkling. There was a modern key card lock system, a fabulous bathroom and great views. Then, I was transferred to a room in the older section. Here, the bathroom had only a hand held shower head, the grout was discolored and the water didn't drain well, leaving me standing in a puddle while using the sink. The wood furniture and floor was scuffed and worn. The door lock used a key and was a bit flimsy. That said, it had a balcony overlooking the beach that offered the same great views. Avoid the first floor, as others have said, because people walk by on the way to breakfast and there is little privacy. El Nido beach is very busy, with walkers, vendors, even motorcycles, so be sure to get a higher floor.

We had a wonderful stay at the funny lion! The entire property is clean and beautifully designed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The private beach is lovely. The only minor suggestions are to put more storage on the room. Another luggage stand and some wall hooks would make it easier to stay organized.

I have been here before and I am happy to be back! The day to day maintenance was impeccable. Shared bathrooms were always clean. Angelo from the front desk was very helpful. He recommended attractions we can go to and helped us with our inquiries. The breakfast was good. This place is also near the area with many restaurants and quaint cafes.

It's quite a distance from the city. When checking in, you can take a tuk-tuk to the big fork intersection of the asphalt road (next to El Nido Beach Hotel), inform the hotel staff, and they will drive a tuk-tuk to pick you up. It takes about 5 minutes to drive to the hotel; When you get out of the hotel and go to the city, you will take a tuk-tuk to the beach intersection, and then walk to the city for about 15-20 minutes. The hotel has beautiful scenery, good service, a beautiful swimming pool, and affordable prices. It is very suitable for vacation and relaxation, but the restaurant fees are not cheap.

The facility itself is nice but for the my version of a 5 star rating the resort would need to meet the standard of Peninsula Tokyo or the Park Hyatt in Kyoto. Unfortunately the facility doesn’t not meet that standard. What will make up for the lack of the amenities, cleanliness and attention to detail is the service provider. From the front desk to the waiter and waitress, to the cleaning Male/ladies, the service staff will go above and beyond to meet your needs. Last draw back is the sand flies (nik nik as the locals refer to them) are pesky little suckers….literally which makes one hesitant to enjoy the beautiful beach on the resort…which then leads to you missing the beautiful sunrise and sunset that one would expect in paradise. Over all, yes i would gladly return to this facility. It is probably the best on the island but I cannot on good conscience say the this is a 5star resort.

Staying in a tent hotel for the second time, the first time in Taiwan, it is not disappointing at all. The tent is surrounded by tropical plants and feels very private. The tent is not brand new, but there are no mosquitoes. We stayed in the tent closest to the beach. It takes less than 1 minute to walk to the beach and the gradient blue sea, super beautiful! There is also a small space in front of the tent, perfect for taking pictures everywhere! The only problem is the poor road.
Lying in front of my small balcony, watching the starry sky at night makes people feel incredible. Sleeping and listening to the rhythm of the waves gently beating is really super comfortable.
The tent is air-conditioned, so you don’t need to be afraid of waking up from the heat, but it will light up until it is true. It is recommended to wear an eye mask to sleep, otherwise people who are more sensitive to light will get up at 6 o'clock!
For dinner, I will go to a restaurant and bar in another district. The food is much better than the town’s. The cocktails are super gorgeous and delicious, so I’m not afraid of being hungry.

For example, there is a flushing faucet at the door of the room, so you can rinse the sand off your feet before entering the house. The service is particularly good, every waiter you meet will greet you warmly. Pay attention to needs and provide services at all times while eating. The only downside is that the food in the restaurant is on the salty side. The three dishes I ordered for dinner were all very salty, and all the salty foods at breakfast were also very salty!

LLenamakkarenaFloresitas impresses with a quiet location right by the sea. If you want to switch off for a few days and focus on the essentials, this is the right place for you (if there isn't construction going on next door or the generator is running - both of which were completely bearable). In one of the log cabins (without AC) or (in our case) rooms with air conditioning, the most necessary things are available: a comfortable bed and a small bathroom with shower and toilet. Our room was relatively clean, I don't understand why the mirrors in the Philippines never seem to be cleaned. In addition, the water from the tap is rather brownish and is not recommended for washing. Right in front of the room door: white, fine sand that stretches from the sea over the entire complex. Many hammocks and seating areas invite you to linger. The WiFi throughout the property was the best we've had since arriving in the Philippines. The food was also really, really tasty - Gemma goes out of her way to fulfill her guests' wishes. Speaking of guests: here too you have more peace and quiet - we were apparently the only ones in the complex on two out of three nights (over the weekend). But there are a few things you can do: rent a kayak cheaply at the resort and explore the area yourself, go snorkeling, firefly watching from another resort a few 100 meters away, or book a private boat trip through Ursulas Resort (neighboring resort). The hosts also try to help as best they can, but sometimes there was a lack of mutual communication. But in the end, with their help, we were able to be picked up in the van right from our front door.
All in all, we felt the price was a bit too high for the simple conditions and the remote location (outside of all the hustle and bustle of tourism). But we still really liked it and would come back at any time.

SSarinaCVRAmazing location spent the whole day on the beach relaxing! Exactly what we needed. Delicious food, great-priced drinks, and super awesome staff members. Some minor points, the loft we chose was great however the fan was WAY TOO LOUD. Probably needs replacing with a new one. The bathroom/showers were cleaned well though could do with a face-lift, the soap dispensers were also always empty.
Overall, we'd stay again but would be better prepared!

GGuest UserWe were undecided on where to stay in El Nido but kept coming back to Isla Amara and decided to book. We are so glad we chose this hotel. We were given a family room. It was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good and different every morning. Now for the location - WOW. STUNNING. 50 metres from one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen. Palm trees, white sand and crystal clear water very safe for swimming. Lots of restaurants and bars with gorgeous views and all the lanterns from the palm trees at night gave it a magical feel. The sunsets were beautiful. It's about 20 minutes by trycicle from El Nido town but feels a world away. I would recommend Isla Amara and Lio Beach if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.

GGuest UserThe tropical garden is beautiful, with the restaurant’s veranda, the pool and the bungalows all around it. Staff are nice, very helpful and polite. The location is also good in Corong corong, with pool and bar on the beach, only five minutes tricycle ride from busy El Nido as well as from beautiful Las Cabañas beach, but with a few nice restaurants and bars nearby, so everything is somehow close. The bungalows around the pool seem good quality, with lovely verandas. The “beach bungalows” are outside the garden, along a lovely path that leads to the beach bar. They are quite basic and a bit rundown, would help to have some extra items of furniture to make them more comfortable, including a shower curtain, but are clean and decent. Perhaps the value for money is better for the garden bungalows than the beach bungalows. Breakfast not the best, but there are quite a few choices as well as fruit. Would come back for the location, the garden and the nice staff. PS great massages available near the pool.

TT M ShaneVery well located close to thd main thoroughfares of El Nido but far enough to feel quiet and relaxing. Spectacular view of El Nido terrain at the rooftop restaurant/pool. ”Comfortable Chic” is how I would describe it. Right next door to Friendz, if you can t stand your teenagers to close. They can have their own little vacation from you even if you're together. I just wished the wi-fi was a bit stronger, but hey - I came to El Nido to get my face off the phone. The staff was really accommodating in all aspects of our trips - from shuttle services to bike rentals to restaurant suggestions. They also had the Ferry service office at the mezzanine, so our ferry ride to Coron was ticketed on the spot. I would stay in this hotel again, fo sure.

Dolarog, a true pet-friendly resort! The resort in itself is superb! It’s like a hidden gem of El Nido and the greatest thing about it is it’s truly a pet-friendly haven! What I like about it is that it’s still in the main island but gives off that exclusive feels. We stayed for 8 days in total at the beachfront villa called Lagen which is a few meters from the beach overlooking their jetti way and that awe-inspiring giant limestone directly in front of our villa. Getting to the resort is other via speedboat or their private access road from Vanilla Beach using a golf car. You know that you’ll have an excellent stay when the owner, Mr. Edu picks you up(or sometimes the son) from Vanilla beach for a more personal touch. How hospitable right? He also has a selection of Italian wines from his cellar as he is Italian, I had Chianti btw over dinner with the beach, stars and the moon as our backdrop. Truly magical! The rooms are always kept clean by the staff who are also very friendly. The main Receptionist, Tata is attentive and very pleasant not to mention very informative. I would take her as my head of staff if only I could! She knows her products and knows when to recommend it, the type of staff who is not in your face all the time to promote an offer. I must say she is one of the nicest resort staff I ever come across with. Food is relatively good. Home cooked and unpretentious. As with any advice when you go to a limited supply area such as El Nido, don’t get your expectations too high on having a western dish so much because obviously, you will have some issues so I only ordered I know locally sourced here like seafood or their filipino dishes like the menudo and chicken curry which are my faves! Filipino breakfast is good. You might wanna carry spare powerbanks as the resort rely on their own generator for electric supply. From 6am-9am and 12noon-6pm there is no electric power. Also, TV is not available (not sure abt other rooms though) but who needs a TV anyway? It’s not like you chose to go to El Nido and sit all day on Netflix and stay indoors duh! I rented a motorbike for 500/day basis and this really helped me in exploring or going out of the resort but the resort offers complimentary shuttle via their golf car to Vanilla beach for free but I wanted to leave and come back on my own time. This is also a 20 minutes walk to Maremegmeg beach by beachside access. Tricycle ride cost between 150 going to town from Vanilla beach btw. Overall our experience is a great 4.5/5 with .5 leaving for improvement on the land access before the Dolarog gate. Also, I’m pretty confident even without any advertisement or active social media promotion, the resort will do just good but let me tell when I posted 1 picture of Dolarog on my socmed, people flocked my DM to ask if I was in another country. We had a balcony in the room plus a really really good view, you can just chill out at the balcony overlooking the beach. The room has sofa inside and super spacious. The breakfast is plated tho. Too bad, there's no pool as stated om the website. But hey, they offer free kayak, so you can do some activity at the beach. There's a lowtide during morning.
Location wise, if you do not want in a crowded place it is recvommendable. If you're a person who loves to party at night, it's just 5mins ride to the town where bars are situated.

GGuest UserMy wife and I stayed her for 3 weeks last year and have already booked it for 6 weeks in February and March of 2024. They are great people to deal with. The Kitchen and gathering spot was made available when we wanted to cook. Although it is an older place the rooms are newly refurbished and all decorated with a different theme. There’s a lot of charm here and you should enjoy your stay. I would have rated it a 5 but the road is a bit of a challenge getting there. It reminds me of a castle that appears out of nowhere and that’s why I like it. It is very quiet and away from the main roads.
