Hotel Spa Norat Torre Do Deza ★★★★
"The room is quite spacious. They could offer drinking water in the room. I also preferred a shower instead of a bathtub, but everything was very clean. The breakfast is very complete and varied, everything is very fresh! The coffee from the machine is very weak for Portuguese people and the orange juice could also be better. The mattress needs to be replaced; just breathing against the pillow made me hear the springs creaking. The spa is very nice, although it was quite crowded, it was quiet. It's a shame that some things don't work, are broken/switched off, and the pool water is a bit cold."

Hotel Alda Lalín ★★
"Black mold! in our room # 219. We had the room booked for 10 days. I developed a cough our second day staying, by the sixth day of our stay, my husband developed a cough that was so bad he couldn't breathe. We did not spend much time in our room other than sleeping, as we were there visiting family. I finally noticed on our sixth day of our stay the black mold in the ceiling. It looked like a shadow at first, because of the recessed edges of the ceiling, but it was the length of the bathroom door, and heavily concentrated. It was midnight when I noticed it, so we did not inform the staff at that time. We slept wearing our masks, that we always wear when traveling. The first thing in the morning, I began packing up the room, while my husband informed the front desk of the situation. They were very surprised and apologetic, and immediately assigned another room. My husband's reaction to the mold severely hampered the remainder of our trip, as he did not have the energy to do all the things his family were planning for us. My cough receded, but my husband's continued, and we went to urgent care when we got back to the States, where he was treated for a bronchial infection, with a steroid shot, antibiotics, and inhaler. I will also note the bathroom in room 219 was one of those very small chamber-type stall showers, where you can't move, and have to squat to reach soap or shampoo, because there are no shelves in the stall. If you are over 200 lbs, you will have a very hard time taking a shower. When we were moved into room # 103, the shower was in a full-size bathtub, so I was relieved to be able to move, but the shower door does not seal off the water, so in spite of positioning the shower head to point in the complete opposite direction, we had water flowing out to the floor. At that point, we only had a few days left of our stay, and I did not want to pack everything up again and move to another room, so we dealt with it. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Marta is a gem. The breakfast area is clean and welcoming, with good a nice continental breakfast selection. The location was pretty convenient, just on the edge of town, close to the 24 hour gas station/convenience store. The attached restaurant, Villanueva was very convenient, and accommodating, with great food, and service."

"It's my second time here and I have to say that it's the best place you may want for your stay nearby Lalìn. Very warm welcome, fantastic interior decorations, comfortable bedroom, WiFi available, and an outstanding breakfast. Just looking forward to get back here during next business trip. PS. The fireplace in the upper room nearby the bedroom is really captivating, but even the breakfast room is really from a fairy tale...."
Hotel Balneario Baños da Brea ★★★
