Crieff Hydro

Crieff Hydro ★★★★

📍 strathearn house, Ferntower Rd, Crieff

"We enjoyed our stayed as a family but the service and food in the buffet style restaurant at night was very poor as food was cold and we were finished eating before we received our drinks. We eventually managed to speak to a manager about it. However, we have stayed before and ate in other restaurants and they were good. Upgrades to winter garden bar were nice but again service for drinks very slow. Overall a 6.5/10 stay."

The Tower Gastro Pub & Apartments

The Tower Gastro Pub & Apartments ★★★★

📍 81 E High St, Crieff

"We did not eat there but stayed in a superior suite. It was spacious with a very comfortable bed, settees and dressing table ( only wee gripe is that this lacks a light to do make-up - maybe change the mirror to a light up one?) The bathroom had a powerful shower and luxury smelling toiletries. All the members of staff we encountered were very friendly. We had a bit of a miscommunication over our dogs but they dealt with this very much to our satisfaction. Would love to return if we are ever in Crieff again."

Leven House Bed and Breakfast ★★★

📍 Comrie Road, Crieff

"March 2025 Third visit, would return again I have stayed here before, this time as a couple with my wife, on a trip for our wedding anniversary, We were made welcome straight away by Duncan and Nicola. Leven House is situated just off the main town centre on the A85, and is a short walk from all the town bars and restaurants Our room had been made up as a double, the en-suite included a powerful shower over a bath for those needing a soak after a busy day. There was ample storage and hanging space for clothes. Food at breakfast is freshly prepared to order by Duncan, your let him know what you want the night before, and chose a time so that he does not get overwhelmed with orders all at the same time. There is a private car park to the rear of the house, this is accessed by 31 steps [ we counted !] which may be dificult for people with mobility issues. Outside the house on the road are parking bays which are charged for by the local council during the day, but are free between 18.00 and 06.00 The only mark down is the one for location and is very minor. Leven House is situated just off the town centre so handy for all amenities. However the rooms at the front of the house overlook the main A85 road which can be a bit noisy at times if you are a light sleeper. However the rooms at the front have a wonderful view. The house is clean, tidy and well presented and all staff are courteous and helpful, I would recommend Leven House to all and would definitely return to Crieff and Leven House."

Comrie Hotel ★★★
"We were a group of six, staying at The Comrie Hotel as we were climbing Ben Chonzie for charity. We absolutely loved our stay. The accommodation was grand and immaculate. Our breakfasts were yummy with probably the best porridge ever! June and her staff work incredibly hard to make sure your stay is wonderful. June does something other proprietors could learn from. She has time for all her visitors and she cares for each and every person who walks through her door. She was the icing on the cake for our fantastic weekend. Now June, read my lips, " We will be back!"😘"

The Tower Gastro Pub & Apartments ★★★★
"What a little gem of a place! Was going to an event in Crieff and added an hotel stay as a wee pre-Christmas treat. Beautiful festive entrance to the hotel, friendly reception who admitted they were having electrical issues and no power in some of the rooms. These things happen, no fuss required and issue fixed before we'd even realised. Room was amazing - superb views over Perthshire, super comfy king size bed, beautiful en-suite and the added bonus of a wee kitchen completely with full size fridge, 2 ring hob, kettle, toaster and microwave. Plenty of cutlery, plates, pots etc and even a bottle of Fairy Liquid for any washing up. As it was a cold night decided to stay for dinner rather than brave the elements - the most impressive fish and chips, hanging over the plate. The fish was the whitest, freshest, flakiest fish I've ever had. Husband had to "falling off the bone" ribs. A couple of drinks and we were off to our gig."

Coorie Inn Restaurant and Rooms ★★★★
"We had a lovely stay in this beautiful restaurant with rooms. We stayed as a family for two special birthdays. The service , food and bedrooms were faultless. We felt very spoiled and looked after - the staff are professional and a delight. Loved the touches in the bedrooms, toiletries , coffee machines and robes all top notch. The beds are so comfy too. Breakfast was amongst the best we have had and dinner was right up there too. Can’t fault it at all. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you for making our stay so special."

Leven House Bed and Breakfast ★★★
"We had a comfortable 2-day stay in this beautiful house and enjoyed a good hot breakfast each morning. Being able to sit in the garden with fabulous views across to the distant mountains was a bonus, as we had warm, sunny days. The owners are lovely people, helpful and friendly with advice if you need it on where to eat and places to see. The only downside for us was the size of the room which was a small double with no drawers or wardrobe (just 4 large hooks on the wall) so we were living out of the suitcase for the couple of days we were there. It wasn't a major issue, but in hindsight, I would have a bigger room next time. The location was very good, a 3 minute walk into the centre of Crieff to some great restaurants. Our favourite was Craobh (pronounced 'kroov') and also Delivino."

The Royal Hotel ★★★
"The hotel is welcoming and has a certain charm, staff very professional and good at their jobs, also very friendly. The room is well proportioned but with very little storage - not an issue for us as this was just an overnight stay. Sadly with these styles of rooms and furniture, cleanliness can be an issue as there are so many nooks and crannies and on closer inspection many areas have been missed or not deep cleaned. This was the same for the bathroom (just basic things like on top of the soap holders etc - nothing to affect the stay). Outwith the control of the hotel, late guests were very noisy and kept us up, the rooms are not soundproof at all and you can also hear water flushing and floorboards moving. We enjoyed a drink at the bar with some games - a nice touch, had a lovely meal in the (slightly cold) restaurant and breakfast was delicious and hearty. The location in Comrie cannot be more central - near to a number of cafes and quaint shops. I’m not sure the stay was quite worth what we paid for the night but it was at the end of the holiday season and the staff made up for any shortfalls."
