"We stayed for one night and loved it. The staff were very friendly but profesional. The house is beautiful and the room lovely, comfortable and tasteful. Breakfast was just right. I cant say more other than that we want to visit again. It is right next to the Sissinghurst garden and you mererly need to walk a few meters to get to the entrance before it gets too crowded."

The Bull Inn Lodges

📍 1 Regent St, Rolvenden, Cranbrook

"Room rate was significantly reduced after we booked, but my email to them was ignored. Queried at check in and they simply weren’t bothered - just asked if we were booking for dinner! There was absolutely no chance of us handing over any more money when they’d already ripped us off. Bathroom was dirty, only a small amount of toilet paper left for us, no milk for the cereal; except 4 small pods for the hot drinks. Definitely not value for money, having paid £135. Didn’t bother complaining, as they clearly aren’t interested. Woken at 2am with the toilet cistern constantly running and then again at 4:30 by a vehicle directly outside the room leaving the gravelled car park. Would not return under any circumstances."

"Booked 6 of us in for Christmas lunch. We were so glad that we did as we had a very enjoyable and stress free time. All communication with the staff before the day was excellent and informative. Our table was in the bar and although the bar was busy there was plenty of space around the table so we didn't feel hemmed in. Great atmosphere too. Food was delicious and plentiful and our server, Tilly, was efficient and friendly. All staff were cheerful and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our lunch."

"Hesitate to share this in case it books the place solid, but if you stay here you can wander around the estate at 5am in spring in peace and quiet, return to a delicious breakfast in beautiful Victorian huge old house, and get into the gardens before the coach loads of tourists. Plus homemade cake and tea at 4pm. What’s not to like? Had a lovely two nights here."

The Bull Inn Lodges ★★★
"The lodges are lovely, as is the pub itself. The staff are friendly and helpful. However, we were very disappointed with the breakfast, which consisted of two squashed almost stale croissants in a plastic container in the fridge, with a choice of rice crispies or cornflakes, yogurt and fruit juice, to be eaten in our room. There was no table service or cooked breakfast option. There was no WiFi in the rooms, nor in the pub itself. The evening meal in the pub was disgusting. My pork was just a lump of fat that I couldn’t even cut with a knife."

"Such a lovely hotel! Staff are really welcoming and helpful. The hotel is beautifully clean and cosy, our room was huge with a nice bathroom stocked with lovely Bramley toiletries and fresh white towels. Cold water provided in room too. The food is cooked fresh and is delicious! It’s also beautifully presented. The room had some little brownie treats that were divine!! My only slight negative was that some fresh milk is put in a little thermos flask on arrival, probably just enough for 2 maybe 3 cups of tea or coffee, then there’s no more milk until 8am the following morning which arrives outside your bedroom door. We were gasping for a coffee and wake very early, perhaps some little milk sachets would be better?? Or milk dropped off at 6:30/7? This is the only little niggle hence 4 stars not 5. But would go back and recommend just would take some long life milk with me."

"I had a very positive experience during my stay. The hotel staff and management were excellent—friendly, professional, and welcoming. The hotel was clean, the rooms comfortable, and the food very good. The location was perfect for the work and meetings I had scheduled, and I would be happy to return. Air conditioning would have made the stay even more comfortable, particularly during the warmer days. I want to give a special mention to the management team for making my visitors feel especially welcome. Also, the more premium wine selections were very enjoyable and worth the extra few quid!"
