Hotels near Stadtkirche Chorweiler in Cologne

We booked this hotel for our first night in Cologne as my husband wanted to see the cars / Formula 1 memorabilia at Motorworld. As we were in Cologne without a car, we decided to book this car-themed hotel for one night. The room was huge - very comfortable bed and pillows. The location was good; we were able to easily navigate from the Central station to this hotel. The hotel has a car theme, and the designers really put a lot into it. From the hotel room ceiling to the elevator (we loved the vroom vroom as the elevator ascended to the floors), it was very cool. The Sunday breakfast was very expensive at 24 Euros per person, however it was incredibly plentiful and included sparkling wine to make Mimosas. There are several restaurants but they were all very busy on a Saturday night; if you plan to eat there, make a reservation. We were lucky to get a table, and if we had not, not having a car would have been an issue. We were happy to stay for a night.

We had a lovely stay for five nights here. It feels like a guesthouse-art gallery-retreat centre, and my German wasn't good enough to be able to work out exactly what it was. no matter, it is well situated on the banks of the Rhine, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were tasty. there is a small menagerie of birds, rabbits, guinea-pigs and a cockatoo called Picasso (who might even greet you with a ”hello” if you give him a rosebud) in the central courtyard. It certainly wouldn't;t be to everyone's taste, but if you like something a bit different, or are open to new experiences, then give it a shot. it is about 25 minutes walk from Hitdorf See, and there are several good places to eat within walking distance.

The hotels in Cologne City are fully booked before choosing this one outside the city. It is very convenient to drive to Cologne. This hotel can park in the courtyard. Hotel facilities are average, after all, it is a small hotel, the room is not very soundproof, but the price is not high, you get what you pay for.

I was born in Leverkusen and always stay at the Hotel Kristal when I'm visiting family at home. The selection and the food in the Kristal are very good, the service really courteous. The rooms are modernly furnished and the bathroom is very chic. It's always clean and the beds are super comfy! The next morning we were all able to have breakfast together, even though my family didn't sleep in the hotel. I'd love to come back, I'm looking forward to summer with the outdoor area!

The room is clean and tidy. The hotel is located near the Cologne Cathedral + the Rhine River. The restaurant can see the cathedral. It is within walking distance from the Cologne train station. It is next to the museum and the front desk service attitude is very good!

Three night stay at this hotel for business meetings in the area. Very clean and neat lobby and room. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke english perfectly. I was not a fan of the marshmallow pillows. Room is pure basic and was adequate. Good hot water supply. I did not try the breakfast so can't comment on that. Biggest drawback was the lack of proximity to any incidental ammenaties or food establishments. There are no convenience stores near by (2-3 kilometers walking distance to the nearest one) and none in the hotel (small refrigerator in the hotel lobby where you can buy limited soft drinks and snacks at the front desk). The hotel would do well to establish a gift shop/convenience store to service thier patrons due to the lack of availability of such in the area. It would have been nice to acquire a cup of coffee any time of day but especially in the morning when a full cost breakfast was the only way to acquire this. Overall though, a pleasant stay with pleasant staff.

Chose this hotel after looking at other reviews on here. The hotel is in a good location and is walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go. The room was quite small but clean and got serviced everyday. We asked for extra pillows and were given them straight away. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a mini fridge where we could keep our drinks. The only downside was there was no kettle/hot drink facillities but this didnt bother us too much as we were so near lots of cafes/pubs
