Hotel Weber Ambassador
"I paid a premium price for a very disappointing experience at this hotel. While the views and location score a 4, the service, facilities, and cleanliness were completely unacceptable. Let me start with the few positive points: First, the shuttle bus from the port to the hotel. It's €8 per person for a round trip, which is a very reasonable price and extremely convenient. They also offer a free shuttle to and from the city center, which runs late into the night. From what I observed, many hotels on the island don't offer a shuttle, so this was one of the main reasons I chose this place. Second, the location is great. The hotel is situated on a hill, offering breathtaking views of the small harbor. You can walk down to the beach in two minutes, making it very convenient for swimming and sunbathing. Now for the negative aspects: It seemed like my partner and I were the only Asian guests during our stay, which made it easy for them to remember our room number (they stated it at check-out before I even had a chance to say it). This led me to believe we received some 'special treatment,' right? This 'special treatment' included: 1. Returning to our room at 3 PM to find it hadn't been cleaned. After a furious phone call, two people came to clean. We went to the lobby bar to wait. Upon returning, we discovered the door lock was broken. We couldn't get into the room from the outside (the room door uses a retro key, so if the lock was broken, it wouldn't turn). After calling the front desk, we waited ten minutes with no one showing up, so we had to call again. Someone eventually came and fixed it. I can't help but feel this was a chain reaction to our complaint about the lack of cleaning. 2. At check-out, I knew we had to pay for the two round trips on the port shuttle (€8 per person), but the front desk immediately quoted me €40. If I hadn't insisted on seeing the bill, they would have just charged me directly. When I got the bill, I found an extra €8. I asked the front desk what it was for, and they repeatedly tried to fob me off, saying it was for the shuttle. After a strong argument, they finally admitted it was for the mineral water from the mini-bar. This 'mini-bar' consisted of four bottles of mineral water in the room fridge, nothing else. Is that even considered a mini-bar? Luckily, we hadn't drunk any of it and had bought water from a supermarket. During our two-night stay, staff even came to check if we had used the mineral water on the second morning and noted that we hadn't. As soon as I stated we hadn't used the mineral water, they immediately agreed to deduct the €8. So, if I hadn't asked for the bill and hadn't noticed, they were planning to overcharge me? 3. After requesting room cleaning, we returned to find that apart from making the bed and changing towels, nothing else had been cleaned. This included the bedside tables, bathroom counter, etc. Furthermore, all the towels in this hotel were grayish and had yellow or black stains, making them completely unusable. 4. During breakfast on both days, no service staff came to proactively ask if we needed coffee, even though they served other tables. In conclusion, putting aside any potential discrimination, this hotel, apart from the views and relatively convenient transportation, was very disappointing. The next time I visit Capri, I will definitely choose a hotel with a Chinese flag outside."
Hotel Villa Brunella
Albergo la Prora
"The room was clean and the location was great! The view from the balcony was amazing! I don't recommend bringing large luggage because it's on a hill. The breakfast was also very delicious! They also provide gluten-free snacks for breakfast if you request them."
Villa Patrizi
"We enjoyed our stays here. The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful with all the sightseeing, travel and food recommendations around Capri. The room was perfect. The location was also very central, with a short walk to Capri center. We’d come back and stay here again if we every back in capri"
Palatium Mari
"Everything was wonderful, terrace inspires, delicious coffee and good breakfast ))"
La Residenza Capri
"The hotel front desk staff was very welcoming. As we were the last guests to check in that day, they asked us if we had eaten as soon as we entered the room. They also upgraded us to a sea view room with a balcony for free. The room was large and clean, much better than the photos. Breakfast was a la carte, and some were also available for pick-up. Overall, the experience was very good."
Hotel Syrene
"I liked a lot he place it’s very close to shops, at the reception where very kind guys. Only limited veggies in breakfast 😁"
La Vega
"We had a great time and really enjoyed the hotel, even though we had to switch rooms. About half the rooms have been renovated, but there are still some older ones. It wasn't a huge deal, but the newer rooms are definitely much nicer to stay in! The hotel has an excellent pool, so after a long day at the beach or if you're a bit sunburnt, you can relax by the pool and have lunch at their restaurant. The service and food quality were both very good. Everything was delicious, and I can confidently recommend this place! The view is absolutely stunning, like something out of a fairytale! We had a room with a large balcony, which was fantastic!) Breakfast was also excellent, with everything you'd expect and need. A great start to the day with a magnificent view and a cup of cappuccino."
Hotel Villa Sarah
"The room is located 10 minutes walk from the center of Capri (the upper station of the cable car). It is in a big courtyard of a family home. The environment is good. The room is also clean and tidy. Nothing wrong with it. You can squeeze fresh orange juice for breakfast, which is good. The boss/boss lady is very nice. It is worth noting that there is a considerable ups and downs on the way to the upper station of the cable car, which may be tiring if you pull a suitcase. But anyway, such a room on this island is really worth it. If I have the chance, I would like to stay a few more nights"
