Casa de Los Suenos Hotel

Isla Mujeles Isla Mujeres|1.46km from Ruins of the Temple of The Goddess Ixchel
Casa de los Suenos is THE place to stay when you would rather feel like an old friend than a guest. From the moment that you book to your arrival on site, they are there every step of the way to help you get to your final destination. And in my case that was destination relaxation. This is probably the most important part of my review, so I'll include it first. As a young-ish solo female traveler, I felt 100% comfortable staying here. There is always someone in the main lobby keeping an eye on things and they lock the main front door from 11:00pm to 7:00am. The staff will call you by your first name from day 1, making you feel seen and acknowledged and most of all, cared for. Thank you to Chris, Roger, and Carlos. As its located in the Southern part of Isla, you'll need to consider transportation options if you really want to explore. They have bikes on site that you can use and if you arrange it ahead of time, they will have a golf cart waiting for you upon arrival that they make sure is always full of gas and just added to your tab at check out. By far the easiest and most reliable way to get a cart on the island. It takes approx 25-30 minutes to drive via golf cart from Case to the North Beach. I also love how they have the partnership with the restaurant below, Kin Ha. Excellent breakfast that comes with your stay. The view is breathtaking and Gil who curated the playlist is a genius with the tunes that play as you dine. There are also pools, a water swing, kayaks etc, and snorkeling right there included. The rooms are spacious, clean, and come with a fridge. My room, the exec king suite was more than I could have hoped for, especially when you consider the sweeping views of the ocean. The pool is divine and cleaned daily. One of my favorite parts, the house pups Marvin and Nina, (and even the cat Maggie) were perhaps my most favorite feature. They are the sweetest and must fun Casa mascots. If you're lucky they will even walk you down to breakfast! One note of improvement, which they are working on, is the company that they contract with for the transfer service. It was a little bit discombobulated on the way there, but everything worked out in the end. Chris personally took down my feedback and shared it with the company so that hopefully things go more smoothly for future guests (note that this is not a reflection of Casa, just a vendor they work with). If your thinking hmmm I usually stay in name brand hotels (trust me, I am a Marriott loyalist to an extreme level), do not do that here on Isla. Stay here. The experience is part of being on the Island. You will love your time on the island that much more if you stay at Casa de los Suenos. It really is a dream.

The food was not good, in fact on the 2nd day of the stay my wife and I got sick to our stomachs, and we did not consume wine or alcohol. The excellent staff service, the rooms had some maintenance details. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it an 8.

There is parking lot, the location of the hotel is near the bar, so it will be a bit noisy, dining is ok

Best hotel I've stayed at! The location is perfect for night-goers and is located in a good vicinity of some restaurants. The staff and service was amazing, ensuring the place is always well taken care of and secure... and let's not even get started on its phenomenal location next to the beach.

I have stayed in many Selina hostels but this is not one to rave about. The hotel is very basic and dated. It had what it needed but nothing above and beyond. Pool was dirty with a layer of sun cream on the surface & plant debris. Duvet in bedroom had no cover and the bed had been made with the sheet over the duvet so we had to pull it apart to put the sheet under the cover for hygiene reasons. On the plus side there is a lovely view of the lake, lots of cool iguanas around the pool & it’s walking distance to the main ***** without being too noisy.

My husband and I traveled to your resort in September 2022, and we loved every moment of our visit. Our friends, who had visited your resort in the past, had invited us. We were a little tentative at first, but from the moment we walked into the lobby to the minute we departed to return to Texas, we were captivated. The service was impeccable; the hosts, restaurant staff and housekeeping and well, everyone, were particularly hospitable and always smiling. We enjoyed my friends' anniversary at a 5-course French restaurant, with ballet dancers delighting with a mellifluous performance. The servers made each moment of that meal special and so much fun. The pool area was gorgeous, and we never had to wait for a cold drink or tasty appetizer; moreover, we were amazed at the talent, even at poolside, where a young lady performed music on her fiddle, creating a relaxing and soothing tone. We were taken aback (in a good way!) the night of my birthday dinner which we enjoyed ON THE BEACH, when a group of fire-juggling and acrobatic performers further created unforgettable ambiance. The memories just kept mounting! There's so much more, but I'll conclude by providing a special shout-out to Gerardo y Jesus (I believe he was the general manager) of La Joya restaurant. The last night of our visit we spontaneously decided we wanted to eat there, but unfortunately did not have a reservation. Not only did Gerardo work some magic to ensure we were seated, but he also enabled us a private space to enjoy one-on-one time with our dear friends at the conclusion of what I honestly can say was one of our best vacations ever. Thank you to everyone for their terrific and heartwarming service. We will definitely be returning to this slice of paradise again in the future! Kind regards, Jacqui + Rob Poindexter

Let's say this was intresting. Like bathtube next to bed and such. But everything working after you are used to odd solutions.
