The owners and their family were so warm and hospitable, and the service was thoughtful, with timely and efficient pick-up/drop-off service. Arriving in Mohe on the Snow Country Train, we checked into a cozy haven, the eLong Hotel, nestled in a wonderland at the far north. As we opened the door, a 270° bay window offered breathtaking panoramic views of the snowy plains and icy mountains. The 1.8-meter wide king-size bed, comfortable sofa, and spacious bay window transformed the -30℃ outdoor chill into a wonderfully warm and familiar indoor sanctuary. This provided a safe and comfortable resting environment for my elderly parents on their first long journey. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, providing extra hangers, bottled water, and tea of the same quality, which gave my family great peace of mind.
In the morning, we welcomed the sunrise with stunning alpenglow outside our window. The hotel's varied and delicious breakfast kicked off our invigorating trip to Mohe. We had a delightful interaction with charming deer, and to the rhythm of jingling bells and trotting hooves, we ventured into the natural ice and snow city. Gazing at the winding, extensive border of our nation felt like being in a fairy tale, truly purifying the soul.
Thank you to the hotel for providing such a haven – it was more than just accommodation; it was a conduit for transmitting Arctic culture. As the horse-drawn carriage once again traversed the snow-covered forest, we eagerly anticipate the arrival of our next icy dawn."

"The location is very convenient, right on the main street. It's just a few hundred meters to Songyuan Park, Beiji Square, and Mohe Dance Hall. The front desk can help you call a taxi, and it's only 6 yuan to go anywhere within the town.
The front desk manager was excellent; they upgraded our room and even gave us a small gift. The service was warm and attentive.
The only downside is that the room's soundproofing isn't great, so it can get quite noisy when people are passing by."

If warmth could melt Mohe’s cold, this household would be climate change.
My downstairs room? Small. A little dim. Chosen for my sister’s convenience rather than my royal canine standards. But here’s the thing — when hospitality is this generous, the light comes from the people. I ate every meal at their café not out of laziness, but loyalty. Why brave the Arctic for repetitive food when home-style comfort is already waiting with a bowl and a smile?
Youran lives up to its name: unforced, gentle, human. It felt less like a hotel and more like visiting relatives who keep refilling your bowl because you look “too thin.” This became the perfect launchpad for my Harbin expedition, three nights of settling in, warming up, and learning that charm travels better than luxury.
Now, the honest bone (every good dog buries one): I’d give this a 4.1 stars if decimals existed. Since they don’t, here’s a conditional 5-star — contingent on tighter cleanliness under beds, chairs, and in the toilet. I raised this directly with the boss because I’d happily recommend this boutique stay to my pack… once the floors behave.

"The room view was absolutely amazing! We had so much fun with the '潑水成冰' (literally 'splashing water into ice') game! Sitting by the window, with the curtains open, we could see the beautiful snowscape outside and even watched fireworks set off by other hotel guests 🧨.
The facilities are great, and I loved the toiletries—L'Occitane products, a big plus! 👍
Oh, and the owner provided plenty of teacups and tea sets in the room, which was really convenient...
The restaurant the owner recommended also had delicious food! 👍"

"I only saw the aurora because I booked this hotel! When I looked up from the bridge leading to the hotel, everything around me was a bit bright. At first, I thought it was light pollution, but then I noticed several taxi drivers getting out to film it. It wasn't until many locals came over to look and take pictures that we realized it was the aurora. If I had stayed at a different hotel, I probably wouldn't have seen it.
The room was large, and the bathroom was nice. The wooden decorations looked a bit old-fashioned in photos, but they weren't at all. There was also a cat and a dog. The owner didn't actively solicit good reviews; this is entirely a subjective assessment."

"I forgot to take pictures of the B&B, so I'll use some photos of the surrounding area instead. When we drove up, the exterior didn't look like much, but as soon as we stepped inside, I absolutely loved it. The facilities are very modern and unlike other B&Bs in the area. It's super clean and well-equipped, and they even provide disposable bath towels and hand towels for guests, which is a fantastic touch. Definitely worth a visit!"

"An excellent two-night stay at this hotel. The room was clean, modern and well-heated for the winter. It was a welcoming place to return to after a long day. However the location is slightly away from the center and bus stop (I am sure you can ask them to pick you up for free). But if you don’t mind walking like I do, you will appreciate this place for its general space and vicinity.
The reception is happy to provide you with a thermos and the pitcher for you to 泼水成冰。 there is no need to pay for this beautiful experience. I did it 7 times on my own 🤣."

It was a bit chilly that day because of the rain, but the heating in the room was nice and cozy. The room was very clean. We were going to Longjiang First Bay early the next morning, and the landlady had already prepared breakfast at 6:30! It was really, really great!

You can leisurely stroll through Pingyao Ancient City; the old streets and houses are incredibly charming and photogenic. There's no rush at all, making this tour perfect for families with elderly members and children. The only downside is that you'll need to rent an audio guide near the scenic area if you want a commentary, but overall, it's quite cost-effective. Highly recommended! (*^∀^)

GGuest UserThe owner was very kind; he picked us up from the bus station and drove us to buy tickets when we left. The room was really clean, and knowing we were sensitive to the cold, he arranged the warmest room for us. It had underfloor heating, and the toilet was heated and fully automatic. We heard there was an aurora borealis, and the owner said he would definitely let us know if it happened and would take us there, so we wouldn't have to wait there freezing. He was very considerate throughout the trip, even telling us where to go and recommending restaurants. Most importantly, they offer free water-to-ice water-splashing service, and you can do it for as long as you want, right in the hotel's backyard.

Highway will be closed for snow clearing in the morning. We left early morning with the authority permission as no bus allowed in or out at the same price as the public bus even during the emergency. Very kind family. She will be blessed. The dog Lao Shu is very friendly too. The place is in tip top condition as the family is a hard working and detailed.

The walls weren't just adorned with photos of motorcycle enthusiasts checking in; there were also postcards and handwritten letters from guests all over the world. These messages conveyed sentiments ranging from the exhilaration of riding thousands of kilometers to the joy of seeing the aurora for the first time. It felt like stepping into a 'spiritual gathering place' for passionate travelers, where even the air hummed with the warmth of dream-chasing.
Settling in, I felt even more at ease. Both the room and public areas were spotlessly clean and tidy. The bedding was neat and odorless, there was no clutter on the tables or floor, and even the smallest details in the corners were meticulously maintained. This cleanliness wasn't a forced orderliness, but rather a comfortable ease that instantly melted away much of my travel fatigue.
What truly touched me was the human warmth here. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and genuine, taking the initiative to chat with us about travel routes in Beiji Village, sharing aurora forecasts, and offering photography tips. The hotel even provided free hot water and ladles, allowing us to experience the fun of 'splashing water into ice.' Everyone else at the hotel was also very friendly. Occasionally, when chatting with other travelers in the common area, the feeling of being strangers vanished instantly.

We originally booked a double room, but he upgraded us to a family suite. The room was very clean and comfortable. After showing us around, he took us everywhere – feeding reindeer, playing in the snow at his secret spot, and treating us to delicious food. The sweet and sour pork was absolutely fantastic! He even showed us how to make water freeze instantly – all for free, unlike the cheap places outside. Breakfast was included the next morning – the pickled vegetables made by the Russian auntie were incredibly tasty! The owner also helped us avoid many bad restaurants. In short, book this place with us! Highly recommended!

If they are open, go early or you'll have to queue. The hotel has good facilities and offers free parking. The room is clean and warm, but you need to open the window.
