"I want to thank Javier for the enormous favor he did me. At midnight, I needed something, and he very kindly helped me and solved it...professional, attentive, and very empathetic!! It's not easy to find people like that. Congratulations on having such people at the hotel! A 10/10 hotel!"

"Having last visited this hotel in 2016 under the iberostar banner, we arrived like expected it to be updated, we got checked in. Felt like there was a lot of information to take in. The room which we picked was the budget one no complaints. The complaints I do have is the entertainment team. The music is on far too loud if you are listening to music with noise cancelling headphones in, especially when doing Zumba, the crowd is very close and still choose to use a microphone, they split our time and we moved back to the room. My wife has mobility issues, that day couldn't make it down the beach, the sunlounghers around the pool seemed to have towels on them, but nobody there, I watched someone rip the notice up that was left to say don't do it. In my eyes this is a manager's job to remove the stuff, another day I witnessed people reserving them ,then go straight to the beach, obviously when full you don't have enough sun loungers. Food ,the quality I must say the actual ingredients were good, but you could give a bit more choice and be more adventurous with your accomplishments, like sauces etc, on three consecutive sitting the same meat. A shout out to Mohammad who took pride in his work and to learn. Another thing was descriptions of the food into English were incorrect, one instance and I put this down to laziness, was a dish was offered in the al carte restaurant, so the interpretation could have been used, not many staff speak English, thankfully Google translate is a godsend, the staff are very friendly and do their best to understand, the English lady at the restaurant entrance is a credit to your hotel, friendly with everyone, always time for a little chat. So all in all a good stay"

"We had a very happy stay. The room was delightful and the meals were yummy. (Try their deep-fried aubergine bar snack and their pigs' cheeks in the restaurant.) It was wonderful to be back in Spain. My partner is in a wheelchair. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, taking so much of the strain off me. Thank you to everyone involved. We'll be back again soon!"

"The hotel is nice with beautyfull andalousian style, great location, nice swimming pool, not too crowded, Very good food quality and nice presentation. The staff however was very unfriendly. "We recently stayed at the Meliá and overall had a lovely, relaxing holiday. The hotel itself is beautiful — the entrance and indoor seating areas are stunning and give a really luxurious first impression. There is plenty of space around all of the pools, and our favourite was definitely the adults-only pool area which felt peaceful and relaxing throughout our stay. The beach is only a very short walk away and is huge, with lots of open space and a really calm atmosphere. Our room was perfect for what we wanted. It was spotless every day thanks to the amazing cleaning staff, and we had a wonderful partial sea view where we could watch the sunrise each morning. The beds were also incredibly comfortable which made for a great night’s sleep. The restaurant itself is beautiful with plenty of seating and space, however we did find the dinner food quite repetitive after a few days. Most of the staff were lovely, although some of the bar staff could come across a little rude or uninterested at times. The biggest disappointment for us was the waiting time in the glass room bar area. On two occasions we actually left without ordering because the wait to be served was so long, which is frustrating considering this is not a cheap hotel experience. The surrounding area is very quiet, which was exactly why we chose it. There are nice walking areas and a few nearby bars and restaurants. I imagine it becomes much busier with more atmosphere in July and August, but for us May was the perfect time to visit — warm weather and a peaceful break. We also did the Seville day trip. While Seville itself is beautiful and the tour guides were lovely and very knowledgeable, we personally wouldn’t recommend doing it as a day excursion from here. The coach journey was extremely long (around 6 hours total travelling time on an 8am–6:15pm trip), which didn’t leave enough time to properly enjoy the city. We felt Seville deserves its own separate city break instead. One trip we would definitely recommend is visiting Ayamonte independently. We took a taxi for around €18 each way and really enjoyed it — a lovely town with great food and a nice atmosphere. Overall, we had a really enjoyable and relaxing stay with a few small frustrations. If you’re looking for a quiet holiday in a beautiful setting, especially in May, this hotel is a great choice."

"12 golfers ,some had been before. PROs. Rooms large and well equipped, everything you would need and expect. All communal areas immaculate and room cleaners do a superb job. Staff very helpful although the breakfast staff could maybe manage a smile , it goes a long way. Alex in the outside bar/ restaurant was extremely helpful, despite being rushed off her feet in the afternoons. Golf course in good condition and also handy in relation to the hotel. Course was well marshalled with 18 holes taking around the four mark - excellent.Breakfast was good with the usual hot and cold options. CONS. Do not stay half board. Evening meal extremely disappointing. Gave it two nights to give it a chance but food was average at best. House wine was changed as it had “ ran out” on both nights- very strange. Ate in Ayamonte for the other five nights despite paying for half board accommodation. Some big drinkers in our party , but again on numerous occasions the bar “ran out” of spiced rum and Baileys - unforgivable in a hotel bar.The hot breakfast did not go down well with our group with the sausage and bacon described as below average."

"In less than 24 hours they stole all the money we had in the apartment and still treated the dog in the apartment badly, we made a complaint at the reception and a complaint at the police and we asked to stay in possession of the second key. The responsible people have not helped to solve the problem, nor have they assumed any responsibility. There is a huge security failure in this place, any official has access to the second key and so anyone can enter the apartment whenever it wants, even without any reason."

"We booked a couple of rooms here for an overnight stay with the four of us. It was easy to find and there was plenty of street parking. The reception team were friendly and helpful and our rooms were immaculately clean. We had paid a little extra for the garden view rooms which had their own balconies and overlooked the park. I'm so glad we did that as it meant we weren't facing the road and that is my only criticism here in that there is some traffic noise through the night, so I would advise other guests to do the same. Its location is great as its less than ten minutes walk to the area of town with all the restaurants and bars for an evening meal."

"Just spent 10 days at the Vila Gale. The hotel is beautiful with amazing decor and furnishings. Everywhere is spotlessly clean including the rooms. Very comfortable beds and lovely pillows. Spacious bathroom with lovely big shower with rainfall shower. The food in the buffet restaurant was really good. Everything was fresh and nicely cooked. ALL staff were very friendly and helpful and always with a smile which really adds to the holiday mood. The pool is beautiful with plenty of sun beds. Gorgeous beach just a short walk across the boardwalk, so quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing break. All in all a really relaxing holiday at a fabulous hotel."

"The worst TUI hotel we have ever stayed in. The service was average, the tours were sold out or not available, the guest experience lady couldn’t even help hire a car, the tv didn’t work in the room, the room didn’t have a separate bathroom - a sliding door for a toilet and another for a shower, overall for a deluxe room there wasn’t anything great about it. A nice location with a beautiful beach across the road but that was about it. Not a lot around, we ended up hiring a car and travelling elsewhere along the coastline to Cádiz which was fab. With Portugal 35 mins away it’s great for travel to tavira which was beautiful Wouldn’t recommend this hotel/ resort for British people. I feel we were not made to feel welcome."

"We spent a lovely 2 weeks here in May, as first time guests. The hotel was really impressive, right from the start and didn't disappoint throughout our stay. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean, with a great attention to detail. Food was excellent, with a decent selection of gluten free options for my wife. We had a lovely room and found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The location is pretty quiet out of the main season, but there is a little marina just a couple of minutes walk away and there is a good bus service to the nearest town of Ayamonte."

"All the staff are great and very helpfull. They speack French, English, German, Portuguese and others. Rooms are very clean, large and with air condition. Large lobby with reception, bar and relax area. One big pool with two tobogans for kids and one big jacuzi and many sun loungers. The hotel give you free towels for the pool. You also have the beach very near, and the water is hot with small waves. Animation team is 5 stars during all day in the pool and during the night with shows in the theater. Kids club - Delfi, is one of the best for kids with activity's during all day, breakfast with kids and thematic dinner's with the hotel maskot Delfi. Superb breakfast, internacional buffet for lunch and dinner with show cocking. The ALL INCLUSIVE is a great option that includes alcohol drinks. It is recommended for family's with kids."

"This is a fantastic resort, the rooms were great and the staff could not do enough for us. There were 20 of us and no one could fault our stay. Played both courses a total of 5 times( 3 old and 2 links) over 7 days, some of the views are glorious. Take a walk into Ayamonte you will not be disappointed. It’s a bustling harbour town with great tapas. Would definitely recommend."
