The resort is located by the sea and has a beautiful surroundings. From the room, you can see the sea and the black beach. The rooms are spacious, tall and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen and washing machine. Although breakfast was included, I went to dinner at nine o'clock and there was almost nothing, and no more food such as juice yogurt, no one cleaned the table, so I stopped going to breakfast the next day. The service for dinner was very good.

We stayed here for a couple of weeks and it suited us well as an apart’hotel. It was pleasantly spacious and had all the equipment needed for preparing meals: fridge/freezer, a 4 ring hob, cooker, microwave, utensils, crockery, cutlery. There’s also a washing machine and tumble dryer, laundry rack, iron and ironing board (but you shouldn’t put the laundry rack on the terrace). Its location, 5 minutes walk across from the Botany shopping centre (and bus interchange), is great if you don’t have a car, but there’s also a dedicated parking place (and we were able to plug in our EV through the window). The swimming pool was nice as we were there during a hot spell, but unfortunately it wasn’t open some days because of technical issues. The complex also has a gym, tennis court and barbecue and playground: basically it covers every wish for short or long term residents – and compared to other accommodation in Auckland it wasn’t crazily expensive compared to other places for the dates we booked. I appreciated the comfortable king size bed. The manageress was very friendly and helpful with a few little issues we had.

Superb location just a few minutes from the beautiful beach with plenty of shops and cafe / restaurants minutes away. Welcome and check in by Veronica was quick and very friendly and our room (room 4) is lovely and airy with a super balcony and everything you need for a relaxing stay. I knew there wasn't aircon and was a bit worried considering the fantastic weather, but needn't have worried, the room is cool and airy even when not using the two pedestal fans provided. A lovely hotel / apartment that we thoroughly recommend

We (3 friends) enjoyed our 1 night stay. It was a more affordable alternative for us rather than City CBD accommodation on a Saturday night but still being very close and easily accessible to the CBD. We had a very efficient check in, staff were friendly and helpful. Really appreciate the very quick efforts in fixing minor issues that we had. Overall, I’d say a nice place to book for a night or 2. My partner and I had three nights at the Devereux while in Auckland to attend a wedding. The Devereux is well located for activities in Remuera. It's nice and handy to the Remuera shopping village. It was an easy 20 minute walk to Newmarket and access to train and more shopping. The hotel is incredibly tired and in need of maintenance. There's little if any sound insulation from other rooms and as we were downstairs could hear the conversations and activities in the room above us. I had paid additional monies to be in a room with a seating area (couch or similar). The two chairs in our room (the Tuscany Room) were stained and some attempts had been made to treat these stains (see photos). One chair was wet and the other left a powder on our clothing if you sat on it. The tea and coffee cups were stained also. It seems that little if any investment is being made in the property to keep it up to scratch. It's worn, tired, and dirty. The passive-aggressive notes in the room range from annoying to ridiculous.

Fantastic place, extremely clean and tidy. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. It had everything you need in a kitchen to make the basics - though we just made a cheese etc platter and then had a few glasses of wine. TV in both the lounge and the bedroom. I was able to arrange early check-in, I just phoned ahead on the day to make sure it was still okay. Very quiet. Such a great location; a home away from home really. Will 100% be back!
