"The hotel is located in a small town, very quiet, the room is quite big, the breakfast is very good, the homemade yogurt cake is delicious. 30 minutes from the hotel to the Arizona ski resort, very good for ski lovers."

Thunderbird Lodge

Thunderbird Lodge ★★

📍 Rte 7, Chinle

"Excellent option! A must if you travel through the Navajo Nation. Visiting the Chelly Canyon and staying in this hotel just next to the Park was a real good choice. Spacious and clean room with good a reliable wifi (I was able to give a videoconference from there). Quiet and charming environment. A cafeteria next to it, at a walking distance (less than 2 minutes) is really convenient. They offer native food but the quality was not so great as we after enjoyed more the navajo food from other places, the only area for improvement. Overall, a great option in the area!!!"

Welcome Inn and Suites ★★

📍 125 Commercial St #1353, Saint Johns

"Would never stay again. Loud. Quite a bit of construction behind our room. Supposed to have side by side rooms. That didn't happen. A construction worker was in the room between us. Not insulated well. Ants on our pillow. Cochroach in our room. Cracks under the door. Not much lighting. Fan in bathroom didn't work. Really ran down motel. Only place to stay. No inside locks on the doors. Nervous for our safety from the employees. Suggest staying in Show Low or Springerveille."

Howard Johnson by Wyndham Springerville
7.0 (98 reviews)

Howard Johnson by Wyndham Springerville ★★

📍 242 E Main St, Springerville

"The hotel is old and run down. It lacks basic amenities, like properly supplied towels and toilet paper! The staff is friendly and helpful but appear to be poorly trained and not competent for the position. So, perhaps it is not the staffs fault. It is not worth the booking price. This Howard Johnson is located in a small town, so not much competition. I will avoid booking this hotel in the future."

Holiday Inn CANYON DE CHELLY (CHINLE) by IHG ★★★
"The room is not small, but the design is unreasonable. There are too few plugs, so we had to use the built-in power strip. The water in the pipe was yellow, as if it had been there for a long time. Fortunately, the front desk gave us a few bottles of water, but when we entered the room, we found that the water in the pipe was not drinkable at all. We went out to the car to get our own water because we had used up the water in the car. In the morning, we checked out at the front desk and prepared to ask for more water so that we could hold on until we reached a nearby place where we could buy water, but we were told that there was no free water, only paid water. I had explained to her that there was something wrong with the water in the pipe, but I didn't want to delay our journey. . ."
