"I had a deeply disappointing and upsetting experience at this hotel on Friday night around 9 PM. We are a family of three (father, mother, and daughter), and from the moment we arrived, the receptionist was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. The situation escalated when he made disrespectful and inappropriate remarks toward us, which we strongly believe were based on the fact that we are from Tunisia. This kind of discriminatory behavior is completely unacceptable in any setting, especially in hospitality. We arrived late and did not yet have Algerian dinars. We explained the situation calmly and in good faith, and even offered to leave our passports as a guarantee until we could bring cash. Instead of showing any understanding or attempting to find a solution, the receptionist refused outright and continued to speak to us in an insulting manner, including making negative comments about our passports. At one point, we explained that this situation might leave us with nowhere to go and that we could end up sleeping outside. His response was that he “did not care at all,” which was shocking and speaks volumes about the level of professionalism and basic human decency we encountered. Because of this treatment, we felt unwelcome and unsafe, and chose to leave and book another hotel at a higher cost just to avoid staying there. At the other hotel, the staff handled the situation professionally and simply allowed us to bring cash the next morning, which we did without any issue. This shows that a reasonable and respectful solution was absolutely possible. I would, however, like to acknowledge the security staff member on duty that evening, who was kind, respectful, and tried to help us despite the situation. His attitude was the only positive part of this experience, and he deserves recognition. I strongly advise others to think twice before booking here. Respect, fairness, and basic courtesy should be the minimum standard—unfortunately, this hotel failed on all counts."

"Deep disappointment. The most unpleasant staff I have ever seen in Algeria. Reservation made with prior payment, arrival at 1 p.m., we were left to wait for 2 hours, only to be told at 3 p.m. that the reservation was not valid and that we had to “deal with” our travel agency. For someone who has traveled hundreds of km, came as a family with young children, I will let you appreciate the dismay and disappointment."
