"We ate there on December 24th, 2024, Chinoise, 69.- CHF per person, 2 people, extremely little and bad quality, we had to reorder and pay again! We will never go there again. The meat, about 250 g for 2 people, was dried out, far too little and had been lying open in the kitchen for several hours."

"The hotel is incredibly close to the train station. It's just a 500-meter walk after you exit the station and cross the road – definitely not as far as it looks on the map! The amenities are excellent, with high-quality furniture, appliances, and linen. It's equipped with a washing machine, vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and oven. The kitchen is fully equipped, making it very convenient to use. There's a children's play area nearby, and our kids absolutely loved it, having fun every day. Our entire family hopes to have the chance to stay here for a longer period next time."

"I recently stayed at this hotel with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. From the moment we arrived, we were faced with numerous issues. The room was infested with insects, including unusually large flies — about the size of beans — which made the space feel unclean and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the bathroom (which included the toilet) had no door at all. This lack of privacy was extremely inconvenient for a family stay, as we had to announce every time someone needed to use it. Sleep was another challenge. We were woken up several times early in the morning due to loud noises from nearby passing trains and ongoing construction work. Additionally, the hotel had no on-site dining options — no restaurant or even a basic dining room — which meant we had to search for places to eat for every single meal. Overall, this stay did not meet our expectations in terms of comfort, cleanliness, or basic amenities. I would not recommend this hotel to families or anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free stay."

"Clean, tidy and convenient"

"Hotel Bergidyll was a delightful experience. Stayed for 5 nights for a solo snowboard trip as a first timer in Andermatt The main service is phenomenal. From the moment you arrived you are assisted to your room. Room services and cleaning is exceptional. Shampoo bottle in my room was empty so it was replaced right away and the housekeeper kept apologising with a smile. Breakfast service You’re greeted with a smile straight away by the Blonde latina wait staff (forgot her name). She will ask for your coffee preference. Then the next day I have a sore throat probably from skiing and catching a cold, once she heard my voice she asked me if I was okay and offered to make me a ginger and honey tea which blew my mind as this is a well above service. Such empathy and care towards guest that you rarely see nowadays in any hospitality accommodation, even the expensive 5 star hotels. Dinner I ordered the carbonara and soup of the day. Pasta was beautifully cooked and made authentic with the egg, guanciale and cheese. Room I would say room is adequate enough for 1-2 person. Just missing a TV. But other than that, you get everything you need in a hotel amenity Location Great spot I would say. 5 minutes walk from Andermatt train station and close walking distance to the main Gûtsch Gondola express Hotel lobby has a cozy Swiss Chalet vibe that you can sit down, drink some coffee or beer. Overall I would say what made the stay exceptional is the above and beyond hospitality from the front staff and the location as well makes it convenient. Would definitely come back again"

"So this is the gorgeous place everyone raves about. The Alpine hotel of many dreams. And I do not understand why. Location is OK, it's neither in the center of town nor next to the gondola, but distances are manageable. It's very spacious, and so are (parts of) the rooms. You can tell they spent a lot on decor - very instagrammable and quite aesthetically pleasing, But practical it is not. There is no walk path to the hotel, or they do not remove the snow on it. I could only find one restroom in the immense lobby and restaurant area, and it was oversized in space but undersized in usability (men queued in front of the 2 closed stalls). The ski room area is tiny and quite frankly messy, overlaps the bar area. There are queue barriers everywhere (destroying the elegance and never on the pictures). The restaurant for breakfast feels like an overcrowded cafeteria (again in the pictures the tables are arranged in a more pleasing fashion, but that cannot accommodate the crowd). Service is a bit rude in restaurants, and food is OK. The room is huge, but the luggage/wardrobe area is tiny and contrived (but pretty) -- as if couples were travelling with 1 handbag to a ski resort. The toilet door in the bathroom is half transparent. The shower is immense but the shower head on the far side. The mini bar area is impractical. But 12 people can comfortably sit around the low table in the bedroom - which I suppose is what mattered. Tiling was slippery in the otherwise rather nice spa. Who designed this place? Our room had the wrong cover for the (huge and comfy) bed, the white and blue pattern of the mattress was quite visible (in the otherwise earth/brown/dark theme) -- they cannot even maintain the decor. To be fair the staff tried their best to fix the issues we mentioned. This is a very, very expensive hotel, for average service in an average location and ridiculously low practicality."

"Very nice / friendly hôtel. Everything is clean as expected. Room was very nice. Owners flexible and are trying to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Breakfast is good with great products. They also have a good little restaurant and a nice terrasse to be enjoyed."

"It's a small hotel without an elevator. If you have large luggage, you may need to think twice because you will have to carry it upstairs by yourself. The breakfast is quite rich with a wide variety of options."

"Very modern, comfortable. Very good beds and modern bathroom with a tub. Breakfast is a little limited, but adequate. Plenty of room for ski clothing. We appreciated the fridge. Service is easygoing and very friendly. Quiet, we could not hear any neighbors. The price is very reasonable."
