Campo Internacional Maspalomas
On first impressions, the hotel looked great ... However, sadly this hotel is not a truly four-star hotel, a decent three-star at a push, simply because it lacks attention to detail, in areas such as food, drinks and service let the resort down from being 4 stars. The hotel is very nice, although if you go with the expectation of a high-end 4-star report, you'll sadly be disappointed. Although it's an excellent 3-star. Food was hit and miss, and was very basic, with the same food being served daily, especially at breakfast. Coffee came from the self-service machine. A large portion of the food was processed, and very little was a fresh product for breakfast. on the plus real bacon, and eggs could be catered for your own preference The food presentation wasn't the best, and it felt very much like a school canteen. - although the food served at the pool bar was good, and the food at the restaurant seemed much better, the half board option, felt more like a school canteen. 15 euros per person for all-you-can-eat style, or you also have the option of choosing from the menu at the restaurant.. the bar food, and food from the restaurant were good quality, just lacked presentation, and the service wasn't 4-star standard. The service was poor, and drinks and cocktails were all basic and lacked attention to detail, and presentation, was not 4-star quality, but okay for 3 stars. The grounds are nice, and the gardens are well kept, but sadly the lawns are plastic (90%) which made it appear tacky and cheap, and a quick fix to hiding defects The room: the kitchen is poor for self-catering, pointless really. one small bin which again is pointless, and lacks space for preparing food. The room came with Kettle, one hot plate, a microwave, 2 plates. 2 cups, 2 forks, 2 knives, 2 spoons, and a coffee machine although, in this day and age, you would expect a coffee pod machine, including a range of coffee pods for a 4-star hotel. There is no onsite mini market and the nearest is a 15-minute walk away, there is one outside the hotel, but hardly sells anything other than snacks and drinks. The website states free water daily, but this was never replaced after arrival, again something that would be standard at any other 4-star hotel. The hotel is aimed more at German guests, and all channels were German, French or Spanish... no English channels, not even BBC news ... The TV isn't a smart Television and there was no option to log into Netflix and other streaming The shower gets water all over the floor, which works its way into the kitchen area. There is no shower mat and the floor becomes a health and safety issue. However the water pressure is very good, and there was always hot water. The shower gel was cheap, you would expect more from a 4-star hotel. Cleaning occurred every 2 days, and this itself was very basic. The cleaners just tend to give the floor a quick mop, once dry the dirt or sand is still there. There were marks on the walls

I had already been on the site, I was in a semi-discutting state, cleaning, staff, facilities, food, everything was quite depressing, but I decided to return because I saw some photos of his new look and surprise!!! , parked where there was previously dirty floors, mampara in the showers where there were previously plastic gardens with moho, microwave, toaster, TV without a need to pinch coins, free WiFi and something important, air conditioning that works, The pool was unrecognizable, the restaurant is not yet open but I realize breakfast is served in the pool bar, people working there, very friendly and careful, in the end, You see that there are other management and that are investing in the complex that has so much potential, congratulate!!!!

We have just come back from a 7 night family holiday of 3 adults and a 16 year old. I honestly cannot say anything negative about the hotel, it was spotless, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, the rooms perfect, the grounds of the hotel were well kept and pool areas kept clean. We arrived late at night and were given a bag with water, a cheese and ham sandwich was was perfectly edible and some fruit. We had a room on the 3rd floor looking to the side of the hotel where the unused land was but this wasn't an issue as we also had teh view of the beautiful bay and got the sun from morning till night. The hotel had multiple lifts on each floor and there were lifts on the roadside for access to the upper part of the hotel. It was also easy to walk around the road to the upper part also but not with suitcases. We hardly came across a lift that was full when we pressed for one so no issues at all getting around the hotel. The rooms all had wifi, facilities to make tea/coffee and even cook if you really wanted to. There was a decent hairdryer in the bathroom, the shower was amazing too. The rooms were cleaned daily and the a/c did it's job also. We didn't put the tv on but there was one. The beds were super comfy and my son slept on the sofa bed with no problems either. The food...well that can I say, absolutely delicious, loads of variation. We were eating 3 courses at every meal. If anything the only thing the hotel could invest in would be covered domes to keep the food piping hot but it was not a big deal. The paella we had was amazing and the prawns were huge. There wasn't much in the way of entertainment but the night we went up to see the trio who did a bruno mars type tribute were brilliant. They got the crown singing and dancing and it was a brilliant night. There was a mini disco for kids before the bingo and quizzes and we took cards. We were quite happy making our own entertainment, My 16 year old son enjoying playing pool, ping pong and he even had a game of tennis and football on the specific court. The rackets and balls were behind reception. He also asked reception for an extra pillow and came back with it no issues at all. There were pool activities too...aqua dance, pool football and water polo and the aqua mat seemed to be a favourite which was a great laugh for spectators and participants. We hired pools towels, a refundable deposit of 15 euros which we got back on the day we left. We also kept the room on till 6pm for 29 Euros which we thought was good value. It would be good if there was a seating area in the main part of the hotel with some self serve drinks if you wanted to be away from the top bar area but not really a problem. It was only a 15 minute walk to Anfi where you can visit the beach and do water sports, there is a shop and places to eat and drink or have an ice cream too. We also got the ferry to Mogan from the island at Anfi. All in all a great place to stay and I

A second visit to the Jardin Dorado and we have had another blissful time away. The bungalows are spacious and comfortable - the beds are amazing! Love the rain shower and double sinks in the bathroom and drying area at the back, and private patio. The pool is beautifully maintained and you never have to fight for a sunbed. The food is amazing - fabulous local cuisine and lots of familiar favourites - get a omelette made at breakfast and check the show cooking options at lunch and dinner. The local beer is refreshing and lots of soft drinks and alcohol available on AI. We watched the Euro matches during dinner and had lovely peaceful strolls before bed. The shop at the end of the road is handy but you really don’t need to leave the complex if you are happy to relax. The hydro pool is a great addition! I prefer to have a key rather than memorise the 8 digit pin for some rooms 🤣 bedding and towels changed daily and the atmosphere is friendly and inclusive. We come here to unwind and completely relax - job done!
